They either needed to be refinished or painted, and we decided to paint them. From the moment I reached out, Samir responded right away. He is an unbelievably good communicator. Because of scheduling and logistics, we did a lot of texting, and he promptly provided me with a detailed written estimate. Once I chose my color, he handled everything -- purchasing all the paint and supplies, and arriving with his assistant fully prepared. They carefully protected and taped off everything before starting. They were highly efficient, clearly experienced, and paid close attention to every detail. On the first day, they meticulously removed all the cabinet doors, drawers, and hardware, organizing everything carefully in containers. Then they sanded everything thoroughly. They took the doors with them, and just two days later returned to reinstall everything. The finished result is absolutely beautiful. My kitchen looks amazing, and I could not be happier. One note- I am copy/pasting this review from what I wrote on their Google review as well. Samir and team were incredible. I would like to separate out the work product from the service aspect. The work product you can seen from the pictures - our bathrooms are transformed. It's one thing to select nice finishes and materials and another thing to install them with care and quality. They delivered on both. Then, there is the service aspect. My wife was late into her pregnancy when we started the work and then we had a newborn and a young child too while the work was being finalized. Samir and team were so conscientious - there were times when we weren't even sure they were there because the were working so quietly. I can only add on the glowing reviews Samir's company is receiving from others. I was replacing my countertops from laminate to quartz and I hired Samir to deal with the associated plumbing and carpentry. This involved a four step operation: dismantle and remove old sink/faucet and dishwaser; remove old countertop/install new countertop; reconnect sink+faucet and dishwaser; and finally. replace a damaged side panel at the end of the countertop and mount the dishwasher in position. Samir is an incredible professional: he can handle carpentry, plumbing, and probably a few other things besides; he is meticulous and careful in his work; and came up with an intelligent solution in mounting my dishwasher in position (it is a small 18in machine that needs to be anchored in position, but can't drill in the countertop). Samir is also personable, someone pleasant to talk to and with interesting things to say. His helper was also polite and worked well with his boss, who supervised him at all times. I wrote a review after Samir and his staff completed a job for me. I was excited as the job went well and I enjoyed their professionalism. I asked them to give me a quote for another job. They said it would take a week. A week later I called them as I heard nothing. A few days later I called again. To this I received a text message saying I would get a quote on Monday. That Friday, I still had no review. Against my better judgement I sent one more request that also went I responded to. The professionalism I once praised has all faded. At the time of this review (a month after I requested a quote) I still have not received a quote or a call or any other form of communication. Summary: Samir and his team are skilled, honest, warm, and highly capable. I would recommend them to anyone looking for GC work, carpentry, and / or floor layout. We would definitely work with them again. Their prices are unbeatable, too. We live in a duplex in park slope and needed to renovate the upstairs, which involved breaking down a wall, installing new pocket doors, and building a LARGE amount of custom cabinetry. The job got done quickly, efficiently, and we are very happy with the result. They worked with us when our schedule changed and we needed to move the job forward. If I had one piece of feedback / advice, it would be for both client and contractor to be crystal clear on the specific materials used in parts of the job and the implications of using those materials! For example, I didn't know that painting oak plywood was difficult / impossible. Other than that small hiccup -- job was great. The best part of the job was how much time Samir and Farhad spent with us ahead of the work date, helping with design and placement questions. Without their help and willingness to answer tough questions (it's a small space!), we would have come out the other end with a FAR worse layout. Samir is not just a contractor, he's an empathetic, honest, hardworking businessman who you can trust. He wants to do a good job end to end, and he will not leave you hanging. During the flooding in September 2023, he came to our place on short notice with a portable pump he had managed to buy off "a guy" -- this was insanely useful to us and just shows what kind of guy Samir is. Samir was a pleasure to work with. I reached out to several contractors regarding a small project that most contractors would not even get back to me about because it wasn't worth their time. The scope of the project was removing the existing countertop, building a new custom cabinet for my appliance(the existing one was a custom 18" depth), installing new countertop and installing a new backing for the back of the island. He was responsive, came to see the project and discuss the scope, gave me a price and was honest about pricing (he said he would have to mark up the countertop price if he ordered for me which is understandable) Overall, I'm happy with the work for the price. I ordered a large countertop that had to come in two pieces due to the size and you can tell one of them is slightly not level. He might be ok for basic projects but he was terrible for us. First, the quality of the work was only so so at best. They were supposed to do things like sand and repaint the original shutters in our house and they did a pretty terrible job to the point where it may make more sense to just replace them. Second, he spent a lot of time asking about a second, bigger job we had rather than focusing on doing good work on the first one. If he had spent more time on the first project, maybe we would have given him the second project. Third, he lost the key to our back door and took away doorknobs we had bought. When we told him it was gone he said his workers never saw it and it wasn't him. Then we showed him photos that the key was there when they started and gone after they worked. Suddenly his workers remembered throwing it on the floor under a pile of bags and magically they found the doorknob, after arguing with us it couldn't be them. Fourth, he never sent us back the contract that he was supposed to sign (or provide receipts) and then he decided he wanted more money so left on a Friday--taking all of his tools--when he was supposed to return on Monday. We didn't hear from him until Tuesday night when he started arguing with us about more money. He said he was working in New Jersey, but that's not our problem and he needs to at least tell us if he will not be coming back for several days. If you want to end up on Yelp complaining about this guy or arguing with him in a public forum, feel free to try your luck. It wasn't worth my time. read more

We reached out to Samir after purchasing our home to handle the installation of numerous electrical work as well as interior painting of the entire home. He was extremely responsive and flexible via text / email. He came the following day, took a tour of our new home, and gave us a very fair estimate of the project and time frame to complete. We quickly agreed and he started the very next week. Insurance was provided. He also gave us a great discount on painting materials which saved us a lot of money on our end. Samir is amazing! I contacted a number of pros about fixing a broken knob in my shower, most of whom either canceled or didn't call back. Samir, on the other hand, made an appointment quickly, texted me when he was on the way, and met me on time as promised. He then quickly diagnosed the problem, went to three different stores looking for the right replacements, even fixed a wobbly part I didn't even tell him about ahead of time. He then came back the following day on **Christmas Eve** with a solution he created himself. He literally prevented me from either having to send away for expensive replacements from Germany or having to renovate the shower in order to replace everything. Back at the beginning of April of this year I noticed a leak coming from an area in my bedroom that I keep my cat's litter box my first thought was that maybe one of the cats wasn't feeling well and urinated on the floor but that wasn't the case as the weeks went by the league kept getting worse and worse but only coming from one isolated area and I couldn't for the life of me figure out where it was coming from. After dealing with this for a month and now having mold growing in my room because of the wetness I finally reached out to S&A quality Pro services. I found their business by doing a Yelp search and they got rave reviews. Well I'm posting this now because it was the best decision I could have made they returns my phone call immediately and after explaining the problems to them they sent a worker out on a Saturday to evaluate the situation they found one of the spots at the water was coming from and immediately cleans it up and weatherproofed it. A few days later I noticed another leak was starting so I called Samir who is a partner of the company and he immediately sent back his worker Khalid again on the weekends to figure out where the second week was coming from. Well needless to say he found it immediately it was a pipe inside the wall that was leaking water so he fixed it beautifully and told me to let the area dry and they'll be back to fix the wall. When they came back they found the situation was worse than expected but again found the problem and without having to do much damage to repair it they found the second leak and fix that again mind you on a weekend. When they return to finish the job I was beyond happy they replaced all the pipes that were leaking and did a beautiful job putting new drywall in the area they had to knock out they painted it and it looks like nothing ever happens! This company was amazing and getting my problem fixed they returned my calls all the time in a timely fashion they came out on weekends at no extra charge to help me out they were courteous, kind, and they were more than fair with their prices.
