My family and I were incredibly comforted to talk to her after the surgery, she has an amazing presence that you know you can trust. I am 6 weeks post op, I feel amazing. In order for the child to use the inhaler at school a form must be filled out by the prescribing doctor. Sutter Pediatrics takes 3-5 business days to sign the form, but if you are willing to pay $18 they will have it in up to 24hours. Kid has to stay home from school or go without a need inhaler at school because Sutter can't put a signature on it without making you way up to 5 days or paying them. Irritating.

Dr Chapman was the best doctor you could ask for and was incredibly attentive to my eczema, asthma, and various allergies. I always felt safe and cared for as a child in this office, and I really loved all the paintings and decor in the different rooms. The giraffe, train tracks, hanging monkeys, and tree painting will always be etched upon my mind! All of those fun touches really make it so much more comfortable when you're a kid. And of course I absolutely loved the reef tank in the waiting room. Here or there you might deal with a bitter receptionist but you'll find that everywhere. My mother really loved Dr. Chapman and this office as a whole and again, I couldn't have had a better childhood doctor. They were always on it and we never ran into any issues with incorrect or late prescriptions, inaccurate advice, etc. For the sake of transparency, I haven't been a patient here for five years so I can't speak to how the office is currently, but they deserve the five stars from a previous patient who is a happy and healthy adult. I've had the great fortune to have been referred to Dr. Julian McLain. At our first meeting, he…read morepatiently reviewed my previous lab work and ordered a few more tests, including an abdominal ultrasound. On my way home from the scan, Dr. McClain personally called me (on his day off) and broke some unsettling news. From that moment forward, I did not have to make a single call for the prescribed tests, referrals, or subsequent treatments. Within an hour, someone from his care team had me scheduled for an immediate CT scan. He referred me to an incredible surgeon whom also pushed me through at a record rate. Everything was happening so fast and I felt completely taken care of. It's been 6 months since that phone call and today was my "clean bill of health" day. They lady gave me heated garments to change into and then there's a separate waiting area with nice lounge chairs and a giant tv plating relaxing music and shows sea titles and fish gracefully swimming across. Very nice, relaxing way before one gets a mammogram done! Also I should've ask what the technician's name was. She was sooooo SWEET and down to Earth! She was close to my age and from Georgia, which is crazy because my best friend just moved there! So as she tactfully did her tech pictures of me, we had some great conversations about California and Georgia living! The whole experience was amazing, with everything at hand. Hahaha I'd definitely look forward to getting another mammogram here next birthday! Hee

After delivering my bad news with great sensitivity and gently walking me through what was coming, she did my potentially disfiguring/disabling neck surgery with remarkable precision. Every single physician I've seen since then -- from top oncologists to ER doctors to the friggin' allergist -- has expressed unsolicited admiration for Dr. Gurney's work ("Wow, that's the most beautiful resection I've ever seen. Who did that?"). I'm back to leading an active normal life, and I have a pretty good chance of living it out, thanks to this gifted and delightful doctor.
