A year of suffering and a hospitalization had not led me to a solution or to the cause of my pain and rapid loss of mobility. After a series of weekly visits, I was guided back to normalcy. There's a kind of warm energy buzzing through it. When I walked in, a few staff members immediately checked in with me--offered help, asked if I needed anything, and seemed like they meant it. It's the kind of place where you don't feel like an inconvenience for just... being there. Dr. Barton himself? Warm, sharp, unhurried. He asked specific questions, zero judgment, no rush--just actual conversation. You can tell he likes his job and takes it seriously. Also? He's a lot more personable than you'd expect from someone who's double-board-certified in neurology and clinical neurophysiology. (Which sounds a bit like a Marvel super-scientist resume, but I digress). ‍‍ Bottom line: if you're looking for a doctor who listens, thinks out loud with you, respects your time, and actually gives a damn--Dr. Barton checks every box, and then some.

A ENT doctor recommended for me to see a neuro since the Imitrex he rx me was better suited to treat my symptoms. I already have my CT results read to me by the ENT and brought it with me to my visit at the neuro. The wait in the office was long. The assessment from Dr. Lin was typical of a neurologist. I told him my symptoms and gave him my CT results where he's like "yeah your ENT kinda sucked, I'll authorize you an MRI." 2 weeks passed and I get no word from my insurance. Turns out they never authorized it when I called back to follow up. I did my MRI sometime in March and was expected to hear back from Dr. Lin to go over my results. Then I'm sure we wouldn't be writing this review in the first place. Why would you say we've never visited your office, we had been seeing you for almost 2 years, and thought our family had some type of patient-doctor relationship with you. I'm not sure why you would ask for my husband to announce his name-----is that not a HIPAA violation? No other families leaving a review for you have listed their family member's name, it's a matter of privacy. We traveled from our home on the Westside to see you because of a referral from another neurologist. Just please do better at calling back families that have placed their trust in you. Especially when we leave a message that their loved one under your medical guidance has been hospitalized and we've left you multiple messages over the span of a couple weeks.
