Absolutely wonderful job cleaning my home and preparing it to be sold. Julie went above and beyond what I would have expected for a cleaning service, even offering assistance with other issues I'd been dealing with around the house. The price was reasonable, the scheduling was reasonable, and the rather involved consultation to give me a proper quote gave me a fair bit of peace of mind regarding the various nuances of my home - It's a bit larger than average with high ceilings, so there were a lot of nooks and crannies I'd been worried about. She organized it with me and they got it all. I also opted to have the carpets cleaned, having acquired a few stains over the years from my rampaging little munchkin, and by the time they left everything was basically as good as new... I was pretty impressed. All that said, the biggest thing for me was the flexibility and attitude. After I'd missed an appointment (My phone alarm clock failed me!) she was still graciously able to work with me and get all of the cleaning done before my deadline to have photos taken of the home - Something for which I'll always be grateful. Her cleaners were exceedingly polite and throughout the entire process she was caring, energetic, and so clearly devoted to her work that it really left an impression on me. Good day everyone. I'm a retired sailor who lives alone and I have 3 dogs. Well trying to keep up on cleaning sometimes gets a little behind. So I decided to hire a cleaning company. I have had a couple cleaning services to include a couple well known ones and they don't come close to the service I received from Julie and the crew at A'La Carte. Meeting with Julie the first time I figured would be a short "Let's go over what we do and how much it costs" well to my surprise we walked my house and they reviewed everything that they were going to do. I initially hired them for a deep clean (which was the cleanest my house has been even my walk thru inspection when I was buying my house didn't leave my house this clean). Then I agreed to a bi weekly cleaning and the cleaning was OUTSTANDING. The crew showed up on time and ready to go. They were funny and friendly and just a good happy crew to have cleaning. My dogs didn't even bother them. They were so thorough that after they left I noticed stuff that had been cleaned or dusted that I would have never given a second thought. I enjoy having my windows open and a breeze blowing through my house and along with the dogs the dust that can build up is ridiculous. Well, they found it and cleaned it. Although I never had the pleasure of A La Carte Clean cleaning my home, I did work with them for eight months. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Julie, Rick, and their team of passionately meticulous cleaners. I came to work for Julie through a prayer and a need. When I met Julie, I was working at a gas station parttime and as an Uber at night. I was struggling to maintain a consistent position to get custody of my children and to build a consistent life for them. Julie walked in one day and thought to give me her card so I could come work for her, but didn't then and left. Days later, as God would have it, I ended up having Julie and Rick as Uber clients. Throughout our ride together we came to the topic of my looking for a stable job. Just then, Julie offered me a job. I had told her of how I had given up on cleaning and how Molly Maid rejected me because they thought I was untrainable. Her reply was astonishing, " I don't give up on people. If you are willing to work I will teach you." And just like that, I started working with Julie. Throughout my time there, people thought I would quit or I wouldn't make the cut. The days were long and it seemed as though maybe cleaning wasn't meant for me. But day in and day out I went and Julie believed in me.To me, Julie was more than employer, she was a friend and an inspiration. She loves all her employees and all of her clients. I'd seen her happy, I'd seen her stressed, I'd seen her hold it all together when her house burned down. But each and every day she was there for us. She saw me gain custody of my kids, she saw me rejoice when I could afford to put them in a decent daycare. I looked up to her. She knew I never wanted to lead anyone but somehow she always found a way to push me out of my comfort zone and make my skills grow. I knew in the last days I worked there, God was putting it on my heart to start my own company. For weeks I pushed the thought out of my head. I thought to myself, "I don't want to lead anyone, I see what Julie goes through to do it." But I was deeply saddened when it came time for me to leave. I had learned something from everyone there. I was a floater and had the chance to work with each person. I had heard all their stories. We were more than just a company, we were a family. But, as God would have it, it was time for me to grow again. Julie had taught me the definition of quality cleaning, quality customer service, and quality team work. With those skills, it was time for me to start something of my own. To this day, I still send potential employees to work with her that I know will grow and learn from her.
