My oldest son decided on a dri-fit shirt. My nephew chose a SWAC champion shirt. As I was getting my shirts made, the gentleman helping me told me he was an alum of Alabama A&M University so they made supporting him even more meaningful. While it is a large shop with a great selection of materials, when we first walked in we were not greeted nor acknowledged. It took until we had a few bolts of fabric on the table for them to ask if we needed the fabric cut or even acknowledge that we were in the store. As soon as they began to cut the first fabric I knew we had made a mistake and should have left, they were ripping the fabric instead of using scissors or rotary cutters. Nobody rips their fabric anymore, and hadn't done that since before we had scissors or rotary cutters. When I asked why they rip the fabric rather than cut the lady said to cut along the grain of the fabric; however, it was not ripped straight and I would see that on multiple pieces of fabric they cut for us. They said they left a thumbs width extra on each side, but that was not the case. We were really looking forward to this shop as another shop recommended it, but was very disappointed with the experience. As well as the time it took to tear/rip our fabric is was longer than the time we spent looking. Hope this can help someone who is thinking of shopping there in the future, because it will not be us.
