Alabama Sweet Tea Company was my very first stop for my first trip to the Magnolia Sillos! The cashier Asia was so friendly and helpful, it set the tone for the rest of my visit. The drinks were perfect for summer Texas Heat. As someone who usually drinks black and green teas with minimal to no sweetness, I asked to mix half Clanton (peach sweet) with half Yankee (unsweet), and it landed at the perfect sweetness level of southern sweet tea for my taste. I also loved the reusable glass mason jars. You can bring them back for affordable or look forward to using the jar at home! Also the straw they give you is reusable, too! While strolling through Magnolia I kept seeing folks with these large mason jars full of drinks and after a little searching, we discovered it was Alabama Sweet Tea serving up refreshing tea in those jars...so of course, we had to! The jars are larger than your standard mason jars and come with a nice lid and reusable straw. Drinks are $9 each with refills running you $2. Worth it honestly. I am a sweet tea conissuer and purest, so I went with the Southern and my partner went Clanton. The Southern was SWEET and delish, a perfect sweet tea. Found this cute little sweet tea truck in the main area at the Silos and could not pass it up, especially in the Texas heat! Each drink comes in its own mason jar that you get to keep, which I thought was a great price at $9. If you want a refill it's only $2! They have tons of great flavors to choose from so I was really struggling, but ultimately decided on the strawberry. Still regretting not going back to get the blueberry! They are extremely fast and efficient here, I saw that they have them ready to go as soon as you pay so you aren't waiting in line very long at all. Nice variety of refreshing flavors. Staff not that helpful but not lazy...just not friendly I guess. No samples. I got the cinnamon sweet and it was delicious. Definitely would get that again. Comes in a cute glass or plastic mason jar that you keep. Highly recommend you get this when you first come then pay $2 for a refill to optimize your $9 investment. Alabama Sweet Tea served us quickly and efficiently. They're located on the grounds of Magnolia, so it was a really convenient stop for a mid-day beverage. I got the Mason-Dixon which is half sweet and half unsweet tea. I shudder to think of what the fully sweet tea tastes like, as the half sweet was almost too sweet for me to drink. The portions are large, but the prices are also high. A glass of tea cost me almost $10, which is absolutely insane. I probably would not come back here again, as I didn't think the price aligned with the quality. read more

Liquid sugar. Why are you so delicious!! Alabama Sweet Tea company have figured it out. I kept seeing the mason jar cups all over Magnolia Market. Everyone had one. It was like the Stanley cup of the South lol. And I had to find out where and what this was. Once I found it I had to get one. They have several options of tea. Southern which is the sweetest, The Yankee which is non sweet, and Mason Dixon which is 50/50. They also had a seasonal version but we won't speak about that. Lol. I had to go with The Southern as when in Rome. The tea with the jar mug was $9 but refills were only $2 after that. Again perfect marketing. Sip after sip I quickly downed one within minutes before even realizing. I then headed back for a $2 refill. I realized that I was part of the marketing as I like many other folks there carried around this giant jar full of tea. Well it's heading home with me as a souvenir. Magnolia 20 yr festival again this yr. You just have to get the sweet tea! We now have a collection of the mason jars with the cute straws. Again we had 3 each during time there. Refills discounted price, well worth it on a hot day. A good hint is to purchase a canvas bag inside as souvenir to carry jars. Wish they made one with divider but grab some paper towels to divide from breaking. Maybe they should sell Carring bags themselves! They do not have handles so always careful not to drop but they do get heavy. read more

I saw there was a long line and lead me to believe that this was the line to believe in and I wasn't mistaken. The line went very fast and it was worth it. When it was my time, I asked the cashier if the tea was sweet sweet and she assured me it was, and I wasn't disappointed. You are also given your tea in a glass mason jar with a reusable straw, and I think that is great. Now I have a glass that I can reuse. They also have tee shirts, but I feel like I would be cheating on my Virginia roots, so I did not take a picture or purchase one. I know I am not the only one who has loyalty to a state. read more

A good place to get a drink on a 100 degree day in Waco. We waited in line to buy a sweet and unsweetened tea. Tea was good. 3/5 stars from me because they don't offer a disposable alternative to the mason jar. I guess I'm the weird person who felt like paying $9 for the tea was a bit much when the glass mason jar is wrapped into the price. We didn't want the mason jars because we were traveling via plane and would have to put these in our luggage. I suppose we could have given these away, but ultimately took them home. Yes, it's $9 a glass. Yes, it's one million percent worth it! Best iced tea I've had in years hands down. I tried this place on a hot October Texas day and had a refreshing mason jar full of strong sweet iced tea that was absolutely perfect. Refills are cheap ($2 in the mason jar with a lid and straw you get to keep). I tried the unsweetened tea as a refill and it too is strong, crisp, and tastes great. I am more of a lemonade person but this sweet tea was so good! It didn't taste like the gross fast food sweet tea and you had the option to choose among their different sweet teas depending on how sweet you wanted it. It's great having a delicious alternative when you are enjoying a burger in the sweltering heat. The ambiance in the entire area is fresh, relaxed, and a must-see if you are in Waco, and the eateries that are there complement each other. Alabama Sweet Tea is quite refreshing, and the staff/owners were extremely nice as well. However, when most barbecue establishments offer sweet tea for three dollars, their prices are a little high. Finally, it's a great gimmick for the area, but I couldn't justify buying tea for each family member if I live locally.
