Alakai owner has a seriously bad FU attitude towards customers who call out his errors. Long story short for two issues. Installation of drapes was delayed two days because the owner didn't reschedule a previously agreed date. zhe initiated the rescheduling to two days earlier and then blamed his scheduler for the problem. The big FU issue is that we had a new drape installed and asked that the old drape be given to the complex office "No problem " says the business owner. After installation I got a photo and a day or two later asked about the old drape. "It wasn't saved, it went in the trash " was the first response from the business owner. Seconds later comes his second response "It would have been nice to have heard about this when we sent the photo ". No apology, just an FU, it's your fault for not telling me what I already agreed to do. Bad attitude, bad business management and I won't be doing business with them again. read more

Vic and his son are so friendly and nice. They had our drapes down, cleaned and back up in an hour and they looked like new. Vic's son even fixed a slat in my shutter that was broken. I highly recommend these two for any drape or shutter job you might have. read more

We recently requested services of Mobile Drapery Cleaners of Maui. Communication and response from Vic was fast and easy. He was able to give me a quote so I knew exactly what to expect. He arrived on time and was friendly and knowledgeable. Once he observed the condition of my drapes, he immediately informed me that I was able to clean them via washing machine! He was honest and refused any compensation for his travel time and the time he "blocked" out for my appointment. It's rare to find honest and sincere companies with the work ethic that Vic has. Everything perfect. He showed up on time for the appointment, took our draperies down, left with them, came back an hour and a half later as promised with clean drapes, and rehung them. Reasonable price and perfect service. We haven't met Vic, but his son does a great job. Having a 6'7" son in the business makes hanging drapes look very easy - when the hooks are at eye level. read more

Professional, quick responses to my many questions. Called Vic for an estimate for new drapes in living room and bedroom. Vic Emailed pictures and web sites for me to look at different fabrics. It is extremely difficult to pick colors and fabrics over the Internet. I asked Vic to make a suggestion, I wanted something lighter in color but not solid color and I wanted them to hang nicely, pleated and sharp. Vic recommended a lined drapery for living room and a drapery with a room darkening liner for the bedroom. I went with Vics suggestion, but only after days of worry and concern. The drapery arrived on island exactly as Vic said they would and he was ready for install. He was very flexible with the install date as I had guests coming and going And had to work around booking dates.I arrived at the condo and I am extremely happy with my new drapes, they hang beautifully and the color is exactly what I wanted. Had appointment for Vic to show up today to give us quote on cleaning and/or repairing our drapes in our Kaanapali condo, and he never did! We waited for him and he never even called to say he was canceling until we called. He cancelled on us after waiting the whole morning for him. We decided to use him due to yelp reviews. Not only did he not show up as scheduled 2 weeks ago, he accused us of having island mentality. The nerve of the creep! Pls don't use this guy. Very unprofessional and inconsiderate. Also want to add that his reply to my review is not true! I never discussed other cleaners prices as i didn't have any one else. Not only is this man dishonest, he was also harassing me by calling names like bitch & crazy & accused me of having mainland mentality & that I could never make it here! The guy has no ethics, education or manners. Is just plain rude & again very unprofessional. I was shocked on how he was treating me. Have never been treated this way before on the mainland or in Hawaii! So low class & inappropriate behavior for someone in the service industry. He actually was in our Building this morning serving someone else w a larger unit & virtually ignored me by not bothering to cancel!Wasted the whole morning of our vacation waiting until we called & he said he was seeing another client. Vic was called on a Tuesday and scheduled a visit to our Condo, on his next area visit, that Thursday. He and Devin, his son, arrived on schedule, picked up the drapes, and said he would be back with them in an hour. 50 minutes later he was back, the drapes were cleaned, and some additional hooks were added. Drapes looked like new. Vic and Devin were friendly. The entire visit was professional and to the job at hand. Their work was performed as advertised. Had some drapes, that had not been cleaned in....goodness knows how long. Vic and son Devin came in, cleaned them on site in their mobile truck, had the drapes back and hung in less than 90 minutes (3 rooms altogether). Came out looking great! read more

In 2011 we found ourselves in need of custom blinds for our living room. We called Vic's On Site Cleaning Services because we knew Vic did custom blinds as well as cleaning. We made and appointment and he came out to measure. Scheduled delivery and installation. He was always courteous and professional with a sense of humor too. Kept in touch to let me know when he would be arriving and arrived on time. Blinds were perfect for our needs . Recently we had a problem with one of the blinds string fraying and ready to break. Also 2 of the wands that open and shut the blinds were broken. We contacted Vic and he and his son, Devin made an appointment with us to come out and see what was wrong. They came, re-strung the blind and ordered the wand parts. After the re-stringing of the blind with a heavier string it did not work as well for us. We told Vic and he came out yesterday to fix the problem. To our surprise even 4 years later he installed a brand new blind at no cost to us. We are so happy and pleased with the excellent service Vic provided. We highly recommend Vic's On Site Cleaning Service. It just doesn't get any better than Vic's customer service.
