I think it's fair to say, I trust the process I just don't trust Dr. Lew. I wouldn't recommend anyone see her unless you are okay with her talking to you like she knows your body better than you do. I was referred to her by a local doctor who thought she would be able to help me rid of my systemic rash that I have been having for quite some time. Since this time I have had three children and we all know what children do to a women's physiology. Dr. Lew always seemed super rushed at the appointments, I realize they run "on time" however it was over-kill. Her demeanor was to "hurry up & finish talking". I also didn't get whole body evaluation from our initial visit because we didn't do any NAET treatments for hormones and the 2nd visit she was made aware that my stool test came back with candida and we didn't even do that protocol. She was pulling stuff out from thin air ..oh you eat a lot of chocolate? Okay let's do a protocol for chocolate. Oh you are still itching huh? Let's do chicken & eggs--I don't eat eggs. Even though years ago I told her I got a food allergy test and I was highly reactive to eggs & dairy--which I don't eat. I realize this treatment takes certain steps and protocols to "desensitize" you however why didn't she do the treatments specific to my issues at hand? Aka hormone & candida, no instead let's do chocolate & eggs! She tells you the treatment can takes MONTHS , numerous treatments upwards of 15-20+, though this is my 5-6x coming and apparently when I tell her I don't feel better she looks at me like I am psycho and makes an insult that I actually "don't want to admit I am getting better" like what?!? What planet are you from that you think people actually come in here and spend $90 for a treatment 1-2x a week and want to be sick?! Get real Dr. Lew. She doesn't hear you, she doesn't listen , she isn't interested in teaching you how to heal. Find a doctor who is open to conversation, appreciates constructive feedback & doesn't feel threatened when you question them. Here when I thought she handed me a list of professionals that could assist me in the future, she handed me the list of other NAET practitioners because she doesn't have the confidence in her abilities to treat you herself. She came across as thinking she knew more about my body that I did--I don't like that and to be frank--I don't think ANYONE would like that...I have been battling with this issue since I was pregnant with my 2nd child and I have seen a naturopath, dermatologist, been on many supplements, bloodwork evaluations. This is not my first rodeo and I deserve a little more respect & consideration, something she obviously cannot provide. Once I asked her what happens if this protocol doesn't work for people and she told me" those people like to be sick--it's their identity" --WOW. Thankfully there are many other NAET practitioners in SA that can provide positive energy & professional service. read more

I decided to give this place a chance because of the good reviews. I have a couple ailments, which Patricia told me over the phone she could help with. I'm a big believer in alternative medicine as there is much data supporting many of its practices. I have yet, however, to find these special people that express the first and most important component in healing, and that is Care. It's so difficult to find someone who not only (at the very least) has a logical scientific understanding of the alternative practice they are initiating, but actually looks at me with humbleness, care, and willingness to take as much time as needed to help me understand the truth behind what they are promising. It was no different here. Patricia came in, asked me about the two ailments I have, when they began and how often they occur. Same information she asked me over the phone. She then simply told me that I will need acupuncture and that she will recommend some herbal supplements. Nothing about: sleep diet mental health cooking material exposure to toxins what I put on my skin, hair, nails or anything of the sort. Not only that, she wanted to sell me on the idea that she cured me of my "dragon" (my decades of emotional trauma) by prodding my two small toes. Nothing is that simple, we all understand that. And no one type of healthcare professional can focus in depth on all different variables causing our ailments. This is common sense, but to Patricia all baggage of emotional trauma can be ridden of by poking your two small toes. She went on to do the acupuncture for the next minute, suggested I sleep but took no real effort to help relax me. When she came back in the room she asked if I slept, and when I said no giggled and said oh well maybe next time. You can just imagine the in-depth spiritual experience all of this was. She quickly took the needles out and said I'm done for the day and that she has two supplements up front for one of my ailments. I asked about the other ailment, she said it's my first time seeing you so I don't want to give it all at once. I kept inquiring on whether this was because she thought too many supplements was dangerous, but she danced around the questions and kept saying she wanted to go slow which makes me just feel like she wants me to set up another appointment. I don't expect an acupuncturist to understand more than acupuncture, but why call yourself a doctor when you can't even refer your clients to the proper nutritionist, therapist, physical therapist and so on that they would need to live a whole complete life. People need education. Some of us are yearning for a deep understanding of what is wrong with us, so we can heal it. And many of us can have most of our emotion trauma healed just by feeling cared for, for just one minute. These types of places shouldn't feel like such a business transaction. I did attempt one last time to get some of my $185 money's worth. I asked her a simple question of which I figured she could explain. I asked how exactly does acupuncture work. The question had come up earlier when she first walked in the door and I told her I would like to be educated on the matter. When I asked her this time around she said the same thing she said on the phone..it increases blood flow to certain regions. I asked about the blockages, she said that's how it gets rid of them. Then I asked what are the blockages, she said lack of blood flow (but due to what?!) I asked if they could be water as I've read somewhere blockage of water could cause ovarian cysts. She looked confused. She looked extremely rushed, didn't tell me to get dressed so we can talk, but made me feel as though I was taking up her time. If you are deep into holistic health like I am and actually want someone who cares about the whole of your life and you as a person, do yourself a favor and avoid this place. So sad to witness how empty alternative medicine can be along with western. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Lew since 2013 when I moved to San Antonio. NAET (which is a unique energetic type of acupuncture) has been a game changer. Dr. Lew is very intuitive and is easily able to ask and figure out the root causes behind my problems. When I had eczema, she was able to clear this completely over two years with the NAET. One particular breakthrough treatment I had to avoid all forms of radiation for 25 hours (I had to go completely off the grid for a day)- but it worked! No more rashes on my chest or behind my neck. This review is a bit overdue but definitely needed. I was in town to meet up with some friends and managed to strain my neck and shoulder while carrying my luggage into my hotel. I had to get in somewhere and luckily there was an opening here! I'm so glad Dr. Lew was able to get me in. She was direct and to the point which was desperately needed. The office space was amazing, the staff was very nice, the treatment was affordable, and the best part...Dr. Lew's treatment helped me out! She got me over the worst of it and was able to get me in again the next day for another treatment. I got an herbal formula which helped out a ton. I forgot to tell her that I also had a terrible headache but the treatments got that knocked out too! From the moment I walked in, I felt completely at ease and nurtured. Shannon, who wears many hats here, is so sweet and accommodating as she welcomes you into the space. She took me back to my room and got me comfortable. I requested cupping and acupuncture. Shannon started with cupping, and I must say for my first experience she made me feel so comfortable and explained everything to me. It didn't hurt in the least, and after she left me to allow the therapeutic process to begin, I nearly fell asleep. After the cups were removed, Patricia came in and talked a bit about what was going on in my life (a recent breakup). She did some muscle testing and helped me rid my attachment to this person with a few techniques. She then began acupuncture and it was absolutely amazing. I've been seeing Patricia for nearly 2 years now. She has listened and gone above & beyond to help me when no one else has: 1. I had chronic cystic acne that doctors wanted to bombard w heavy hormone treatment. Patricia cleared it and corrected my hormones with NAET, diet, supplements, and lifestyle changes. 2. I went for acupuncture once, she didn't take a thorough history, did not create a relaxing environment at all and was very rushed.
