If zero was an option, he'd get it…read more I was a Medicaid patient as a kid and I've used military doctors as an adult, which have always been lacking in quality, but they were outstanding compared to the visit I had here. This doctor was condescending, didn't spend more than two minutes with me, and provided notes in my chart of things we did not discuss. He didn't ask ANY questions and treated me as if I was a drug seeking patient because I reported that I took medication for ADHD. Before even seeing me but after seeing that in the nurse's notes, he sent the nurse in to "inform me" that he would not fill my prescriptions. I told the nurse I didn't ask him to, I see a specialist for that medication, the only medication I was hoping to get was for my migraines. He said he'd let the doctor know, which to me felt like the only reason he was sent in to tell me that was in hopes that I would leave. After another ten minutes he came in the room, read off the blood pressure and other data the nurse provided, then listened to my breathing and said I needed to get blood work. He said he didn't have the form and left the room, and I expected he'd come back after getting the form to continue the appointment. No. He sent the nurse in with a form for labs, and when I asked her if he had requested the labs I told the nurse I needed (I've needed B-12 infusions in the past and am often anemic, so those are tests that my doctor usually adds to the normal labs), and she left to ask. She (not the doctor) came back to tell me they were added and to go schedule another appointment. They wanted me to return to their office, 30 minutes from my home in good traffic, for the labs because it was apparently too difficult to send the request directly to the lab, which has a location five minutes from my house. This doctor has an obvious stigma against mental health. He wrote in my notes, without discussing ANY of it with me, that I needed to reduce my ADHD medication because it was the most likely cause of my migraines and anxiety (since depression and anxiety were also shared with the nurse since I take an antidepressant). If he had bothered asking, I could have explained to him I've had menstrual migraines since elementary school, and didn't start ADHD medication until my 20s, so that's an incorrect assumption. I also don't understand why he had any business advising me to stop or reduce medication being prescribed by a specialist, especially since I'd been seeing that specialist for years. I would love to share my history of a suicide attempt and have him tell me it's a good idea to stop or reduce medication that has taken years to get right. Completely disgusting behavior and attitude from a "professional." I've included a picture of the notes he put in my chart. We never discussed a meal plan, and he never TOLD me ANYTHING about my medications, I got this information only from the portal.

The procedure I received from Dr. Monis helped significantly (so far). The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of five is because of the front desk issues; and also, my prescription fell through the cracks. Muscle relaxer was 'prescribed weeks ago', but when I called them, I could never get through (error message from their phone company) and when I followed up, I was given another number... but that person said the pharmacy never even received the order. I was given the runaround. The day before my procedure, the pharmacy sent me a text saying they got the order, but there were no instructions on pick up or delivery. This has been frustrating.

There should've been a fair warning and at least a conversation prior to the stab. I was so hopeful with all the good reviews, but never again. You're treated like a crash dummy without an ounce of compassion, but as long as they're hitting their numbers who cares about quality patient care right? This was heartless and I am completely shocked at the cold cruel treatment from Dr and the MAs. Glad you all had a better experience than I did.

My mom was going be out of a blood pressure medication in a day and I had done everything they say to do by calling the pharmacy first so they can send a request for refill which the pharmacy sent twice to Health Texas. I'm not sure what happened with the original pharmacy request, it was sent the Saturday of a holiday weekend, but after the second day of hearing from the Health Texas call center that they had not yet received it, I asked the pharmacy to resend the request only to have it rejected immediately by Health Texas and was told she needed an appointment first. We did have an appointment the next week but she would run out of the medicine days before the visit which would put her health at risk. The pharmacy gave us a few extra pills but it still wasn't enough to avoid a deficit. I called Health Texas every day for three days as her medicine dwindled and was told each time they have to wait on the pharmacy request, only to then reject said pharmacy request. When I asked the clinic about this, they said they didn't see that it was rejected. This is a major issue if the Health Texas system is erroneously rejecting refill requests for health sustaining medication. On the third day of this issue I sent a message through the portal as a last attempt but the only version of the drug in my mom's portal was not the extended release (ER) even though we had asked them many times to take the non-ER version off her record. I hoped given she has only been prescribed extended release this whole past year that they would know to send that but they didn't. On the fourth day of this issue, they sent the refill but not for the extended release (ER) type she had been taking over a year. My mom cannot not take the non-ER version because it makes her blood pressure critically low. I was flustered at this point as my mom had taken her last pill that morning. I called once again to tell them she needed the ER type and requested once again to have the other non-ER drug off her record. We finally got the medicine she needed in time for her next dose but needless to say this whole problem did not inspire confidence in their communication system for critical issues.
