I use my right arm for everything, and I'm hoping doesn't cause long-term damage. If anyone is reading this, please cross your fingers for me, I need your good energy. Masseuse literally took 2 different phone calls during the middle of my massage session with clients asking to schedule appointment and talked to them about what time to come in. The phone loudly ringing twice feet away from me, and her halting my massage to take it and then restarting, also made it stressful rather than relaxing. She did the same thing 3 other times for 3 text messages, so 5 phone interruptions total. Yes, I said phone interruptions, because those were not the only type of interruptions. Two clients came in during my massage, and she left the massage room to go greet them and talk to them for minutes at a time. All of this obviously reduced my massage time as well. The repeated touching the phone and then touching the client is also an issue for hygiene, given what lurks on the surface of smartphones. I'm constantly complimented on my excellent skin, and after my session here, developed a painful pimple, the first time this has happened in at least 2 decades. Our skin is an important part of our body and health, and wellness services should honor it. During the last 5 minutes of my massage, she literally placed the phone on top of the massage table in between my legs. I wish I were making this up. She finally removed it before toweling the oil off. I believe in tipping service workers, and since the service was terrible I was thinking of leaving a 10% tip, even though it could have caused me harm with the nerve pain in my bicep which is an issue until now, and there were 7 interruptions. I would normally leave 20% for normal/good service, sometimes 25% for great service. Even before I went to pay, while I was drinking water, she said she expected a $20 tip, or $90 total. This would have been a 28.5% tip on the $70 service. I told her I don't think this is an appropriate tip for the level of service, and she got really aggressive. I allowed myself to get bullied into leaving a $15 tip, which at 22% is way more than what the service warranted. I had taken an Uber there, and when I called an Uber it was coming in 6 minutes. I don't think she realized this and opened the door, I said I was waiting for an Uber. She actually tried to insist that I wait outside in the dark at 8:15 pm, saying she had other clients. I don't know what the point of her waiting area with the chairs in the lobby is then. I stood my ground this time and waited until my Uber came 5 minutes later. I cannot in good conscience recommend this place to anyone. And as Arthur Brooks said, never waste your suffering, so am sharing my experience so others can avoid it. Having discovered many amazing massage spots in Denver, some that feel life-changing, and associating this area with excellent wellness offerings, I feel there is no reason to ever have to consider a place that is not of that caliber, let alone one that could cause harm. Massage should be therapeutic, not stressful, and a way to thank our amazing bodies, not hurt them.

There was a major language barrier right away, which led to a lot of miscommunication. The staff barely spoke or understood English, and we were given no clear instructions. All they said was "get on the table" and then left the room. We weren't even sure if we were supposed to remove our underwear, and when we went to ask, one of the massage therapists walked in while my husband was fully naked -- even though we were clearly yelling "no, no, we're not ready!" It was extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional. We specifically requested light to medium pressure, but they ignored that completely. The pressure used was excessive -- at times it felt like my shoulder was going to pop out of place. I woke up the next morning covered in bruises on my back, and I am now in serious pain. I can barely move. My husband is also in pain and very sore -- this was not a "good sore," it was a damaging experience. Despite all of this, my husband still tipped generously. But the therapist had the audacity to say the tip was "too little" and asked us to add more. It came off as greedy and made an already bad experience even worse. In total, we ended up paying $330 for a two-hour reflexology massage -- including a $30 tip we were pressured to give. Not welcoming. Not professional. Not worth it.
