I explained this to her, but Angelina started cleaning my teeth anyway and spraying water all over my face. At one point, she threw a napkin at me and said she didn't have time to be tidy because I was so late. She was being so aggressive and scary (giving Steve Martin in Little shop of Horrors vibes) that I finally decided it was time to leave. I asked her to stop and she said, "ok, bye, sir" (wtf - I'm a woman and not particularly masculine). It took me a year to decide to give them another chance. This time, a few weeks ago, I got a hygienist named Karen (of course). While she was poking around in my mouth, I winced slightly when she poked the gums behind my two front teeth. She asked if I was ok. I told her I was fine, but that I felt the sharp tool on my gums. Instead of saying, "oops, sorry!" or something innocuous, she instantly got defensive, saying she didn't touch my gums. Not the response you want from the person holding the sharp tools! She asked if I wanted her to numb my gums and I said, "no thanks". Instead of just continuing on with her work, she said, "Um, ok, because you seem a little ...". She didn't finish the sentence, but it was just odd - she was either projecting or trying to provoke a response. As she continued to be rude, I decided it wasn't worth my time to have someone who hates their job taking out their frustrations on my teeth and gums. I got up and left before it could get worse. I had a great dentist in the town where I used to live and there are many other dental practices in the same building as Evosmile. On my way out, I made an appointment with one of them.

The latest example is: Tues 8/27 - call from "Isis" - the latest in the parade of incompetent staff confirming my mom's appointment on 8/28 for her implant installation. I missed this call. Wed 8/28 - I called the office back and spoke with Isis, who had no idea what I was talking about. When I reminded her of my mom's appointment that morning, she remembered and said ok, confirmed. Later that morning I received a call 5 min before leaving to drive my mom to Dr. Patel indicating that the implant wasn't there. I asked where it was and she didn't know. I asked for the tracking number and she said she'd get back to me. She never did. Then I emailed asking again for this, to no avail. I'm then told that my mom will have to wait another 2 weeks for an appointment for the install (something my mom has been waiting for for months) and so asked that Dr. Patel come in on Sat 9/7 for the install, which was agreed (by Isis). Sat 9/7 - I bring my mom to the office at the agreed upon time - 11am - and the office is locked with lights off. I called and of course there is no line except the office line, with the voicemail message set to Aug 6, because his staff don't know what month it is. I emailed and left a voicemail. No response. Dr. Patel is a competent dentist, but running a business requires more than dental skill. Dr. Patel is clearly trying to play the game of "how low can I pay my staff to maximize my income without pissing off my patients to the point that they leave". I'm not interested in playing this game with him anymore, and for anyone else who feels their time is valuable, look elsewhere - there is no office for any practitioner to whom I take my mom which is anywhere close to the muppet show that this one is.
