About a year ago in 2025, I saw a hygienist here named Angelina who they say was a temp. I was a few minutes late that day, but I wasn't there to have my teeth cleaned - I just wanted the doc to check one spot where I was having sensitivity. I explained this to her, but Angelina started cleaning my teeth anyway and spraying water all over my face. At one point, she threw a napkin at me and said she didn't have time to be tidy because I was so late. She was being so aggressive and scary (giving Steve Martin in Little shop of Horrors vibes) that I finally decided it was time to leave. I asked her to stop and she said, "ok, bye, sir" (wtf - I'm a woman and not particularly masculine). It took me a year to decide to give them another chance. This time, a few weeks ago, I got a hygienist named Karen (of course). While she was poking around in my mouth, I winced slightly when she poked the gums behind my two front teeth. She asked if I was ok. I told her I was fine, but that I felt the sharp tool on my gums. Instead of saying, "oops, sorry!" or something innocuous, she instantly got defensive, saying she didn't touch my gums. Not the response you want from the person holding the sharp tools! She asked if I wanted her to numb my gums and I said, "no thanks". Instead of just continuing on with her work, she said, "Um, ok, because you seem a little ...". She didn't finish the sentence, but it was just odd - she was either projecting or trying to provoke a response. As she continued to be rude, I decided it wasn't worth my time to have someone who hates their job taking out their frustrations on my teeth and gums. I got up and left before it could get worse. I had a great dentist in the town where I used to live and there are many other dental practices in the same building as Evosmile. On my way out, I made an appointment with one of them. read more

But not one to push services that aren't truly needed. And, he was willing to listen to, and take action to add a recycling box for dental aligners/Invisalign to the lobby! You can't put those into regular recycling! But you can here. Definitely a 10 on a scale of 1-5! One last detail - I appreciate a doctor who keeps themselves in shape too. There are great views of the rolling hills from the chairs that makes it all very relaxing. The last several visits I've had Karen as a hygienist. She has a light, gentle touch. She does a great job explaining everything and gives super helpful advice. I know my mouth is challenging and I really appreciate the care that she gives it. I had a concern with one of my implants among some others. The office had an opening, I thought it would be an evaluation. But Dr Ochev had a late opening they offered me, the doctor took care of three of my issues. I have a new excellent dentist who is detailed and a great dentist. Truly outstanding first visit. I recently changed dentists after 15 years to Dr. Ochev at EVO Smile. It was a good move. My last dentist started charging crazy COVID fees per visit in addition to their already high prices. Having finally switched, I wish I had made the switch sooner. EVO Smile is quite up-to-date with all of their equipment and practices. Kind of shocked me how behind the times my former dentist was which I thought highly of until recently. EVO is about as state-of-the-art as it gets. From the waiting room to the dental rooms and in between were super clean. Something you really want to see at your dentist office, especially during COVID. Not to harp on about my previous dentist but the differences I noticed at EVO Smile really stood out comparatively. Just they way they made sure that everything they touched was always clean. My former dentist did not make those efforts which I know are hard but come on, it needs to be done. Everything I experienced on my first visit was fantastic. Everyone I interacted with was very friendly, personable, professional, on time and the visit was completely pain free.
