I am still in the healing phase of the procedure, but my experience proved nothing to be concerned about. The ladies in both the office and those who assisted Dr. Lloyd were approachable, knowledgeable, and helpful. They took the time to review anything I had questions about in person and via the phone. I was forewarned that getting the insurance estimate would take some time. I watched the process online and know it was my insurance company that took so long. The text communications about appointments and the videos on what to expect were very useful. They prepped me well for the day of the procedure. I showed up relaxed (special thanks to the Valium) and before I knew it, I was in recovery. So far, everything is going smoothly, and I am healing well. No one wants a tooth removed, but this team seems to have the process dialed in. Thanks for doing everything you did to help take my anxiety away!

Let me emphasize that Dr. Silva is not only a dentist (DDS), but also a physician/surgeon, who attended medical school and completed a surgical residency (oral/maxillofacial) after attending dental school. As such, he not only works on complex dental issues (sometimes due to the failure of other, less trained dentists), but he also performs surgery on the jaw, sinuses and facial bones. What I'm getting at is this guy is expert at repairing most things above the neck. My "adventure" started with expertly-placed local anesthesia (think Novocaine) so that I felt absolutely no pain whatsoever and yet I was still able to feel most of my face, lips, etc. After about 1 hour of cutting, scraping, prying and suturing, the job was done. Post-op pain and swelling were minimal and almost completely resolved within 48 hours. Thank you Dr. Silva! Dr. Silvia's "supporting cast" is just as professional and competent as he is. They are all very sweet and nice as well and made my visit as non-traumatic as possible.
