Dale and his team absolutely rock. I recently moved into an older home on a much larger lot in East Cobb... where although the previous owner was pretty meticulous, we had some really large trees that needed to be trimmed and another 8 or so that had to go. I personally know the owner of a much larger tree company here in town (name might rhyme with funnison...) and had used them at my old residence...but my girlfriend recommended we get Dale to come out. I was hesitant because (like I said..."I knew a guy")... but Dale came out almost instantly when we contacted him (my "guy" took a week after I'd contacted him...before we'd reached out to Dale)...and his estimate shocked me. In a good way. My "guy" did come out and I'd told him Dale had already visited. I didn't tell either company what the other had quoted and I choose to go with Dale and Atlanta Tree Allstars. Because I'd only dealt with that "big other company" previously, I didn't know what kind of crew Dale would be sending out - I mean, this is his company not some giant gig. Dale had a FULL crew (I think 6 or 7) out on the given time (actually about a half hour early but they waited to knock until the time they promised) and they cut down and removed 8 NOT SMALL trees (15' - 40'), brought up the canopy of a 100' tree, and trimmed back overhang over my house on a 70-80' tree in about 2 hours... and left little more than sawdust without damaging any other trees, hardscape, sod...etc. Don't be mistaken. Dale has SERIOUS crews with SERIOUS equipment. I was amazed and what they put in their chipper without it balking for a second. I'm a very critical homeowner as I've done a lot of this work myself and I was skeptical... but these guys blew me away. Unfortunately all I have are good "after pictures"... but you can get an idea by the size of the stumps what they did. Do yourselves a favor and use Dale and his team. I bought a home in Alpharetta last August and there were some trees that definitely needed taking out. Having come from Southern Oregon on 3.5 acres, I was familiar with tree fallers and their pricing. I received a call from Adam and an appointment was set. His appointment was the third appointment I had that week. The first "arborist" didn't know a Camelia bush from a Gardenia. The second guy came down $800 immediately when I told him Georgia fallers are way more expensive than Oregon. Within seconds he came down $800. Can you say SKETCHY? First and Second guy did not really walk the property extensively. First guy better than the second, but I was still stuck on him calling my Camelia bush a Gardenia. So Adam comes along and actually WALKS ALL of the half an acre. He asks good questions, he even makes some suggestions. Points out two more dead trees both first and second guy missed. He verbally reviews the list of trees before he goes to his car to do an estimate. He gives me a detailed estimate listing the trees. I thanked him for his professionalism (extremely important to me) and thoroughness. Seven man crew plus Adam showed up on the date chosen and within hours, the job was done. The crew was careful with my yard art and property. They were safety conscious and I could tell this was a good crew. They worked together, and they were not just day laborers. They knew what they were doing and had been doing this job a long time. Strong as hell too. Picked up those logs like Bigfoot picks up a toothpick. There was coordination among the team, no trash talk, no foul language. Just a professional crew. Adam explained to me how to care for the fruit trees they topped, and cut a few limbs back on trees above the fire pit that were not listed on the initial estimate. I was VERY pleased with the estimate, crew, and the job they did. I have been told all my life that my standards are too high. That being said, I would highly recommend this company. On Monday, a tree fell into my shed in the backyard, also damaging a nearby tree on the way down, and needed to be removed quickly to prevent further damage to the shed. I called Atlanta Tree Allstars, and Dale was out to my property Tuesday morning. He surveyed the area, made a proposal as to how he and his crew would have the tree removed. He gave me a reasonable quote (based upon a few others I received) for the work, which included clean up. He also added another line item for some trimming I might like to have had done on the surrounding trees, which I found helpful, given the circumstances. In addition to the reasonable quote, Dale told me he could have his crew out the following afternoon (Wednesday). The crew showed up when expected, and the job was done well and quickly. In fact, not only was the job performed as outlined, but the crew went above and beyond my expectations, having removed the remainder of the tree trunk from where it had broken off, bringing it down to a low stump, and even corrected the roofline to the shed where it had been mangled. Not to mention that once they were done trimming and cleaning up, my backyard looked better than before the tree fell! It was quite a relief that the whole ordeal was behind me within just a few days, and without feeling like I'd been fleeced. Atlanta Tree Allstars saved my fence! We just moved into our new home and we had a big storm blow through a couple days ago. I was watching the trees swaying back and forth and crossing my fingers, then saw one decent sized pine fall over and get caught on another smaller tree. It was stuck suspended over my backyard privacy fence and looked like the next breeze to come through would shake it loose. I called a friend who had some recent tree work done and she recommended Dale and his crew. I called him immediately, he answered right away and Chris and the guys were at my house 15 minutes later! They had been in the area and were happy to fit me into their current schedule. Within an hour and a half of the storm coming through the tree was down and taken away and the fence was in one piece. Everyone was really nice, Chris and Dale walked the property with me pointing out other little issues to keep an eye on, and just generally educating me on what was what. What I thought was a dead tree was just a White Oak (and is supposed to look that way), and what I thought was marks from ivy being taken off one of our big trees is actually the mark of a Lightning Strike! So I know a lot more about my new property and I know who to call in the future to take care of all our tree needs. Good price, stellar service and the whole crew was just a bunch of nice guys. My fiance and I are getting things cleaned up around the house and getting the trees surrounding the house was a top priority. After shopping around for a little bit and getting quotes, Dale and his crew were the best pick for what we were needing to get done. We had a single tree removed from the front yard, a bunch of dangling branches removed, and a rather large thick limb overhanging the house removed. Dale came out for the initial quote and then Swat and the crew handled the work! Swat was awesome! He was very knowledgeable and pointed out a few things to me concerning some of the surrounding trees to keep an eye on for the future, but never once pressured any further services on the spot, which I greatly appreciate. Even with the rain that had been happening during that day, the crew handled it all without issue -- watching them handle the work was like watching a ballet being performed. I normally don't write reviews, but we had a fantastic experience with Atlanta Tree Allstars. We have a very wooded backyard and have had trees removed in the past, but our experience with Atlanta Tree Allstars was by the far best of any company we have worked with. Adam came out the day after we called to give us a quote. Other companies we had called were not even able to come out and quote us for weeks and Atlanta Tree Allstars not only came out next day, but scheduled us to have our trees removed two weeks later. On the day of the work, the crew arrived on time and they were extremely skilled and efficient. We had 10 trees cut down and two large trees trimmed. They cleaned up everything including the debris from our neighbor's yard. We were incredibly impressed with them. Adam did a walk through with us once the work was done and answered questions about some trimming we are thinking about in the future. We will not use any other tree companies in the future. Called many, many tree companies to take down 5 trees on my property. Dale and his All-Stars came in with a very competitively-priced estimate, beating out any of the other quotes by miles. On the work site, Dale pointed out some additional trees overhanging my house that could easily be removed at a modest addition to the overall price. His crew also took out some minor shrubs or saplings that happened to be in their way with no additional cost. They hauled off all logs to the curb to await pickup by a logging company, and left me woodchips for my yard as I requested. Overall, Dale's crew removed 4 full-height Pine trees (70-100ft), as well as 3 other tree species, for a total of 7 fully-grown trees. Other companies quoted me as much as $7500 to remove the initial 5 trees; Dale had a MUCH lower price even with 7 trees instead of 5. This is the 2nd time that I have used Atlanta Tree Allstars for tree work. That should say a lot about this company. The pricing is fair and the crew does an amazing job! The first time was to remove some trees in my yard. While there, Dale noticed that another tree was needing removal so we added that one as well. There was one tree what was partially over the house and was near the power line. That wasn't a problem for the crew! The tree was removed without incident and the logs were cut and hauled away. The second time was just yesterday. I called Dale again to clear out the woods in my new house. Not only was it cleared perfectly, the branches of the remaining trees were limbed up and all the debris was cleaned up from the street. It was absolutely perfect! Being a first time homeowner, I checked with my neighbors to see if it was a fair quote. After getting their feedback on how reasonable it was, we decided to go with Atlanta Tree Allstars. Dale and his team showed up on time on the day of our service, and Dale confirmed with us the work that was to be done. We were removing one tree and pruning several others around the property. Great experience dealing with this company today, we had about 9 small - medium sized trees removed, along with a very large branch that was hanging over our fence into the neighbors yard. Dale showed up, on time, at short notice to give us an estimate. He surveyed the property, gave us an estimate, and we agreed on a date/time that he'd be back with a crew. Today came, and he showed up exactly when he said he would be there, which was awesome since I was meeting him at the house during a lunch break. Dale and his crew did an amazing job! We had 4 trees removed and all were in pretty tight spaces. The crew did an excellent job of ensuring none of the plants or lawn was damaged. They raked the yard and even spread the mulch and pine straw back out where it had been disturbed from the removal process. Outside of some sawdust, you would never know that they had been there. It was an excellent experience from start to finish and they are very reasonably priced. The other plus is that they hand carry everything out to the chipper so no heavy equipment. This was a huge plus for us as three of the trees were inside of a fence and we were very pleased to not have to take a section of it out. Wow! Dale and his crew at Atlanta Tree Allstars went above and beyond! I'm so happy to have ended up using them. I hired another company to take down 3 trees who ended up ditching the job. I suppose the job was too much for them considering that they took only one of the trees down and left it there and the others untouched! I called Dale in and they came within 2 days and completed the job plus took down other dangerous monster-pines. I saved a ton of money using them plus they cleaned up this disaster area entirely! Dale is very knowledgeable about his business. There was one tree I thought needed to be removed, however, Dale said just the fallen limb needed to be removed because the tree wasn't dead. Everything I wanted was quickly assessed and a very reasonable estimate given for the work. I felt Dale was truthful because I had concerns about another contractor's estimate of the same work. Dale came out to give us an estimate on a very tall leaning hardwood and a dead pine one day after calling. His crew chief stopped by a day later to make sure they could climb the leaning tree and it was not a problem. I was given a quote and it was very reasonable. Dale and his crew were very professional and prompt getting these trees removed in less than 2 hours. We also had another huge tree that had fallen along with tons of ivy and wisteria that were choking the surrounding trees. They cleared up this thick area and it was all put in the chipper and cleaned up after another 2 hours. As the before and after pictures show, it was a total transformation. I watched in awe as Swat and the rest of the team worked efficiently to take down a bunch of trees in my back yard, including a huge oak. Started sometime after 9 a.m. and finished a little after 4 p.m., which was nothing short of amazing, given the scope of the work. Dale was quickly responsive to my initial call, worked me into his busy schedule in a timely manner, and was very professional all along the way. Dale and his crew did a great job removing a massive oak tree that fell during a storm. I can not overstate how big this tree was, plus access to our backyard is extremely limited. Several other companies said they could not do the job due to the difficulty and size. The estimates from two other highly recommended companies were thousands of dollars higher than Dale's. In fact, when I first saw Dale's estimate i was skeptical, but hired him based on all the good reviews he has here on Yelp -- and I was not disappointed.
