If you're looking for a spot to work or study all day, this one's pretty perfect. Lots of tables, outlets, and charging stations, and a low key ambiance with fairly quiet noise levels. They actually stay open pretty late too, which is hard to find in a cafe. They have an impressive variety of pastry, coffee, pizza, sandwiches, and more. I was able to linger for hours and not feel like a jerk cause I could get both my afternoon coffee and dinner here. With that said, pizza was eh, as was latte. Neither was bad, but they didn't really impress. The pastry was the best thing I had and I'd tend more towards that in the future. Oh also the people here are so nice. There was one woman working and keeping everything super clean that was just so friendly and kind to everyone who came in. I love coming to Alaska. My boyfriend & roommate have an insane obsession with the Garlic Chicken Aoli Sandwich which comes in a house made pocket bread. So delicious. I came here for brunch and had an amazing experience. First let me say I am not sure if they have some kind of special air purifier, but when you first walk in the vibe is like a breath of fresh air that feels really good. The energy, food and drinks just feel like self care. The service is amazing. I had the loaded hash browns, the chicken wings (both hot sauce and bbq, I really enjoyed the bbq), and pancakes. I honestly love coming here. I started coming here after the City of North Miami's monthly bike ride brought us here in 2018. This was one the pit stops on the route and they have not disappointed me since. I'm not a huge coffee drinker but everyone I bring here rave about it. They have many international roasts to try from. Their menu is huge but I mainly come here for their pizza. I recommend the green goddess, rio grande, and of course a breakfast pizza. I've tried a number of combos but you can't go wrong with cheddar, turkey bacon, and peppers. Why make it a sandwich when it can be a pizza!? I also get that combo as a croissant sandwich; it's really good. ACR is definitely worth the try. read more

How have I not reviewed this place?! One of my favorite local spots, for sure. This is another situation where I wonder if I've been too lenient with my 5 star reviews in the past, and now I want to give 6. On just a coffee note--and they have quite a selection of different beans and brew styles--I always try to stay away from Starbucks and spend my money locally, even more so than ever during the pandemic. Honestly, their coffee is way better anyway, so there's no debate in my mind. They also have some FAN TAS TIC food items. My favorites include the wood fired espresso wings, the garlic Aoili chicken pita, and my favorite the brisket steak and cheese. Also, the owner--Karen--is really friendly, nice and hardworking. The first time I tried a fresh cookie from the bakery here I couldn't even leave the counter before finishing. EXCELLENT!! In fact I loved them so much, I ordered 2 dozen for a baby shower brunch. Everyone loved them! They were huge and shareable (if you dared too), but by the end of the event they were all gone. Not a single crumb left. Everyone raved about them. I hate to leave a bad review for a local establishment but my visit here has been plaguing my mind ever since.. My first impression of this cafe was great, the sweets looked delicious behind the case, the menu items (especially the sandwiches) sounded interesting and creative but as they say, dont judge a book by its cover. We ordered the "quiche" which I am putting in quotation marks because in hindsight I do think even think had any egg in it. The pastry was a phyllo dough consisting of spinach and feta on the inside, but the actual taste was disappointing. The pastry component tasted like it was old and made at least one day ago. The texture was tough and chewy, and to make it worse it wasnt even that hot, just warm.. I guess I couldve used the microwave that they had available for patrons but I would assume that is something that shouldve been done prior to serving me this monstrosity. We also ordered one of the beef empanadas which was similar in texture (old, chewy, tough). I definitely think we messed up ordering the ready-made items, because we did order the loaded hash which was freshly cooked and that was truly delicious. The hashbrowns were crispy, chunks of thick chewy bacon, onions, peppers, and cheese. We also ordered an ice coffee which was sickeningly sweet (they do not use housemade syrups, I believe they used Monin) and a macchiato espresso which was a bit too foamy for me. There are so many great places that I would never come here again, so if you're reading this, just get something fresh and made to order. read more

The coffee was not good, I honestly have had better coffee at dunkin' donuts. The wrap was even worse, bacon was chewy and had a weird flavor and so was the turkey. Upon entering, a really spacious environment and I loved the coffee bags everywhere. The vibe was definitely great and it feels like you've transported to a cozy sanctuary to try and escape the cold (even though we're in miami). The menu was quite extensive and it took me aback, I had to try and find the contactless menu to see what coffee was available. This is what I tried: - Iced Latte (Oatmilk, Vanilla) - Chicken Empanada The latte was smooth and the bold flavor peeks through just enough for a satisfying balance with the oatmilk. I don't normally drink coffee with sweeteners but the vanilla worked well with the espresso! They offer three sizes for hot and cold drinks. The service was also pretty good, quick and easy, no issues at all getting the transaction done! The employees behind the bar was kind and helpful! BEST PANCAKES & TIRAMISU IN SOUTH FLORIDA!!!! These pancakes are consistent EVERY single time, I've been more than 5 times and each time it tastes the same! Consistency is so important to me. Their fluffy, flavored well and FILLING (you may not be able to finish 3). The tiramisu is like no other. It just can't be beat, there have been times we have come solely to get it. It sells out a lot and is first come first served. We discovered this quaint breakfast spot through Yelp! We were skeptical at first because a lot of breakfast spots are smoke and mirrors- look great but the quality of service and food is subpar! This was a great find so you go and order and wait to pick up your food no one brings it to you, so found the request for tipping questionable. The location easy and parking is easy just keep in mind that it will be busy after 10 am on a Saturday. The coffee was fresh and aromatic and smooth. The pancakes stole the show they were amazing and they use real syrup, first bite you can taste the fluffy, savory taste of fresh pancakes. As soon as you walk in you see the oven and open kitchen, that's when you know you're food is going to be fresh. Upon entering we were greeted by a very nice gentleman. Unfortunately, I did not catch his name and they don't wear name tags. He was very helpful and warming. Wow - the food was amazing! I had the avocado toast with poached eggs and I just loved it. The bread tasted so good, the avocados were so fresh and the poached eggs looked like a drawing! My plate was a master piece. My husband had the breakfast pizza which I DEFINITELY recommend. It is definitely a MUST and I will have it next time with the Ethiopian coffee. The coffee was freshly brewed and the Ethiopian beans were just such a delicacy. I mentioned being a coffee fan to some folks that live in NoMi and they told me about this place. I walked in and was impressed by how big it was. The indoor and outdoor seating are very comfortable, keeping enough needed distance specially during these times. The menu is extensive. I was expecting to see only coffee and small desserts but they have salads, soups, breakfast, etc. i ordered the "soup of the day". She told me it was a Thai soup that had carrots. Three words: key lime pie. Their pie is so delicious! It's tangy and sweet and creamy. I've heard the espresso chocolate pie is even tastier, but I have yet to order it because I always want to eat their key lime pie. I will have to try it the next time I go. The savory food items here are also very tasty. I've tried a number of the flatbreads and sandwiches and have yet to go wrong. Service is very friendly. It's been a while since I've come here to do work, but I know there's a limit on the internet usage time, so that can be a bit annoying. Also, the tables are always dirty. I wish they were more diligent about wiping down the tables and chairs. We stopped in here for lunch. It's a upscale sandwich/breakfast/coffee shop. It seems to be popular and was crowded. The sandwiches and coffee (we had drip and an americano) were good.
