Our builder had given us 2 choices to pick our light fixtures from to be put in our home that's being built but all it takes is one bad experience of customer service to deter us, so it looks like we'll be going with the other company instead.

I called 3 times requesting this information prior to my appointment 29 Jan 2025 and didn't appear that the estimate would make it prior to my appointment. I stopped checking my email the day before since didn't think an estimate would be sent at this point. After talking to my wife the day of our appointment I called Raven Electric and she mentioned the estimate had been sent. Our time block was scheduled between 10:00 - 1:00 and asked if the technician would be able to finish during this time frame. The receptionist stated she could not guarantee the work could be finished. I let her know we were going to the airport later this afternoon and would probably need to reschedule. I understand time blocks but was just trying to see if she knew when the technician would arrive to complete the work prior to us leaving the house. Raven did send me an email yesterday that had a basic quote but at this point I stopped checking my email since I'd given up on getting the quote prior to our appointment. I did apologize for the late cancelation and asked to reschedule. She abruptly stated canceling just before your time slot is unacceptable and we'd need to find someone else to do business with. I've never encountered a business before that treats customers this way and throughout my interactions with the receptionist even from the beginning had been very terse at best. Afterwards I located other reviews that mentioned scheduling issues, technicians not showing up on time and appointments being lost. That tells me they expect the customer to be understanding with them but any issues on the client side is unacceptable. I definitely believe with this additional knowledge about their customer service issues I've dodged potential problems working with them in the future.

Mateo fixed the switch expertly and even worked on a small sub-issue related to the same lamp and fixed that too, with time to spare and no extra charge. The wardrobe we broke our backs loaded up, sells between $3,000-8,000 on first dibs, the same antique French radio cabinet is listed on Cherish for $1,650, the antique barrister cabinets (5 shelves) typically sell between $1,000-$5,000 and the same exact antique Victorian plated door knobs (set of 6) sells for $150-$300 EACH online. We loaded up several boxes full of power tools and hand tools, a work bench, a sleigh bed from Kathy Kuo, an antique wood trunk, several light fixtures and other pieces from West Elm and Rejuvenation, in like new condition, a leather loveseat, a rocker with ottoman, a few boxes of unused tiles, a decent sizes marble slab, sink, and other misc items and supplies I felt were beneficial to this store and it's cause. However, after this type of customer service, and inconvenience, I feel very discouraged in ever returning. The 3 others met us at our home and listened to our ideas and took measurements of the areas to be landscaped. Within a week we received quotes from two of the other companies that just parroted back our ideas without any design drawings or detail. The third company jerked us around for 3 additional weeks before telling us they were too busy and gave us a baseless and wildly expensive "estimate" for next year. In contrast, Josie Blumenthal from Faltz came to our house twice to sketch the area, take dimensions and develop our design ideas. On the 2nd trip she took aerial photos with a drone and prepared a concept design based upon our ideas. At our third meeting, Ben Brown, Faltz Landscape Architect, who was mentoring Josie, joined the Team and proposed some new design concepts that we liked a lot. We signed a contract and within a week the Faltz crew was on site. The 3-man crew were experienced, polite and professional. Most of the time while the work was in progress, either Josie, Ben or both were on site, assuring the work was in conformance with the plan. At the end of every workday, the crew cleaned our yard and driveway. Three days later the work was complete. The final product far exceeded our expectations, and we are very happy with the entire Faltz Team, especially Ben and Josie. We felt that Faltz provided a superior product and good value. We'd highly recommend Faltz for your landscape needs.
