I walked out of the office with the same concerns I had before I walked in. She did not seem competent at all. Waste of time and money. I don't recommend her. I have hope there are better dermatologists in Alaska who actually listen and try to look into the problem.

I've since been back for other services, and have nothing but wonderful things to say. From the front desk to the procedure room, every person is so wonderful. I was really scared to get hair removed, but Rebecca has been amazing through the sessions. I feel completely safe having her work on me, since she's had many years of experience and training. AAY also has medical services, as well, so it isn't just a spa for massages and Botox (which they do offer). I'm seriously considering shifting my baseline medical exams to AAY, and also getting treatments for some scars. I can honestly say that while I'm getting a powerful laser zapped in my arm pits, or radiowaves evaporating broken capillaries, I wouldn't want to get it done anywhere else.

She is fabulous. The office space is great. Every room is beautiful. They don't use the paper dresses. They have real cloth gowns that you wear for your visit. The baby wipes are heated. There are candles in the bathrooms. It's so clear that they care about peoples holistic wellbeing in this space. Why didn't I give it five stars? I've had some issues with billing (all sorted out, though) and with one of the aestheticians that was less than five stars (she's no longer there). I HIGHLY recommend this practice for anyone looking for a new gyno, especially for young women going to the gyno for the first time. I've had some rough experiences seeing other gynos where I didn't feel like I was treated like a whole person. That's not the case here. I felt deeply cared for.
