Shanna is wonderful! I needed a hair refresh after a LONG time of putting it off. I decided to treat myself to an updated cut and a rose gold balayage, which I knew would take quite a while and a good amount of skill. When it comes to finding the right stylist you have be like the movie titanic and "NEVER LET THEM GO". OK OK a bit dramatic but you have to admit it's the truth. Long story short I walked into the Alass salon with orange/green hair (not on purpose I let my mom experiment) and whatever voodoo Shanna did with her stylist magic hands almost instantly bounced me back to the hot blonde I was accustomed to presenting to the world. I love Alass salon. You know how important a great stylist is and when I first moved to Ahwatukee I tried somewhere else - wasn't great. Then I found Lynnette three years ago and I couldn't be happier! She is so knowledgeable and has great suggestions. I will sometimes go in and tell her that I'm "tired" of my hair and want a change. She will ask me questions about what I'm tired of and then make great suggestions as to changes I can make to the cut or the color. I have had so many compliments on my color since she started doing it. I refer everyone to Lynette and Alass Salon because Shanna and Andrew are great too. There is always so much laughter and happiness going on there that I always leave in a great mood. If I could I'd give them 10 stars!!! read more

Alass is the number one salon in Ahwatukee for a lot of good reasons. These stylists are incredibly talented. They are all perfectionists. Shanna cuts my curly (difficult) hair so that it's perfect. When Lynette was at Ish she was very reliable, but when she went out on her own not so much. She canceled once due to being sick (which is fine). Then increased prices cause she did not want to work as much as her sign said. Then I requested an appointment (5/6) which she said nothing until May 30. I said ok. Morning of the 30th 9:30 am not feeling good again. My daughter is getting married but what did she care. She didn't. It's sad how people just don't care and don't want to work and customers suffer. Lynette really listened to what I wanted---then she gave me a great hair cut and the perfect color. She's a highly skilled hair stylist who is also warm and friendly. The salon has a casual, upbeat vibe and the prices are extremely reasonable. If you're looking for a great hairdresser (who did wonders with my fine, thin, graying hair), you can't do any better than Lynette. read more

I stated to her my daughter is getting married, but she didn't care didn't even respond. It's sad how much people don't care and don't want to work and the customer has to suffer. Customers beware you might have a special occasion and the person that you made an appointment with almost 30 days ago is cancelling and you will receive a text message not a phone call. I'm not feeling well. Good luck no responses to text messages. It's time to move on because it doesn't seem like she wishes to do hair except for when it's convenient for her and not longer cares about her clients. read more
