I recently moved from Chicago area to Phoenix. I left behind a wonderful stylist and friend. I had no idea where to go in Phoenix. I spent quite a bit of time researching salons. I live in central Phoenix and I was having no success in finding a salon near my neighborhood that charged less than $45-$50 for a basic haircut. Maybe I'm cheap, but I find that price point ridiculous and I refuse to pay that much money for a simple cut. I came upon this salon here on Yelp. I drove 25 minutes north to try it out, since the reviews were good and the price was reasonable. I called to schedule a cut and I spoke to the owner of the salon. She was extremely nice and was able to get in me in on that Sunday (I called Thursday). I was very happy about that. I paid $21 for my cut (using the deal here on Yelp), and it was great. The salon is neat, clean, and cute. It is not super swanky, so if that's what you're looking for, I would go elsewhere. I don't need any of those pretentions. The owner was friendly, knew what she was doing, noticed a weird thing my hair does right away (that my Chicago stylist always had to work around), and is reasonable in her prices. Visited Roza for hair extensions. She is trained in Hairdreams extensions. I used to go to another stylist for extensions for years. She was so expensive! She charged $350 to put in my extensions and she used fabulous quality hair but it cost close to $1000 for the Hair alone. It lasted awhile but I was in credit card debt from it. I loved her and the quality of But I could not afford it any longer. For the past year, I have searched everywhere !!! Believe me when I tell you this. I found a great extension stylist but she did not supply the hair and I wound up buying the hair from a shop in Scottsdale. The Hair was fabulous until you washed it and then tangle city. Ugh! I then went to a salon that had tape in entensions. The salon and the stylist were wonderful, but I have horribly baby fine hair and I never felt like I had enough hair and the glue was killing my hair. I finally found Roza at the Salon Spot 602 740 9928. She is trained in the extensions that the Kardashian's use. She selected the perfect blend of hair color for me and corrected the color of my over bleached hair. I am so happy! It isn't cheap. I got a few boxes of hair for $500. Remember that I have bad hair genes! She made me feel like a new woman! I am so happy and wanted to let others know who may be in the same position as I am. read more

I've been going to Sarida for almost 3 years after I first moved here and used another salon, who did a horrible job covering up my grey hair. Sarida is flexible with times, texts me to remind me of my appointment, does an awesome job cutting my curly hair (not the easiest to layer correctly) and always does a fantastic dye job on my completely grey hair. Sarida working her magic once again! We went from blonde to almost black with some peek-a-boo highlights. I was a bit nervous making the change but I love it! We also did the Brazilian keratin treatment. Sarida highly recommended it and now I do too. I have wavy/curly hair I'm generally straighten my hair which easily takes 30 minutes. My hair was looking unhealthy and dry. The AZ weather doesn't help either. The treatment has cut down the time to about 10-15 min. My hair looks healthy and smooth. I LOVE the new color! I've done my hair here for over a year with Blanca, yet never really complained because she WAS patient with my sensitive skin. I'm particularly talking about coloring my hair with bleach. If a tiny amount gets on my face, it would get red and irritated, then again, whose face wouldn't get irritated if bleach touches it? Over the year, I feel like she half ass her work and messes up because she overbooks herself. Yesterday was the second time in a row she messed up my hair. I asked for a touched up and toning and she left my hair super brassy and uneven. I was not satisfied with the service at all, I even point it out that it was brassy and she told me it was my fault for having sensitive skin so she couldn't leave the toner on longer than she wanted. It was $125 , of course I had to make sure I liked it. I came back a few hours later because I got super depress about my hair. I asked her nicely to fix it because I wasn't about to take work off the next day and will be gone for a month to California. She responded to me with an irritated tone and claimed it was the best she could've done. Which isn't true because she HAD done a decent job before. I left the shop in tears because I was devastated. I went to another person to fix my hair and he did an amazing job. Not to mention , he included oplex with his bleach to soften the hair. My hair was always fried when Blanca did it, yet again, never said anything. Yesterday was the day I had enough and decided to share my horrible experience. I even Facebook messaged her and showed her the brass in my hair but she ignored it. I appreciate her for being patient with my skin over the past year but I will never go back to her again after screwing my hair up and unwilling to compromise. read more

I've gone here for a year and had wonderful cuts by Marissa. To my horror, when I called to make an appointment this week she is gone. I agreed to have Christina cut my hair. Not only did she take a couple of calls while shampooing my hair, she went out to give some guy a key while I dripped in the chair. Then, she needed to ask the woman next to her how to cut my hairstyle. Forgot to ask what side I parted my hair on until she was almost done. Boy, was I pissed. Now I have to find a new salon. Not the Spot for eye brow wax... I'm very upset about the service I received. I walked in because I decided that it was time for me to try something new nearby. It was quiet and it was relatively empty so I figured it would be a good time; she wouldn't have to rush to get to someone else. Unfortunately, when they don't know what they are doing that doesn't even matter. I have been growing out my eyebrows for a while because I wanted them fuller. Well that doesn't matter any more. I asked for a clean up and slight shaping. She forced a rounded arch against my natural hairline and still left scattered hairs around. Now my eye brows are much thinner than I wished they were. Also, I had to run to cvs and buy tweezers and scissors to fix it. Don't count on me coming back. read more

Blanca was nice initially but then when i would give her any input he was constantly complaining about how my hair was really long and thick. She didn't style my hair, just did a flat iron with a lot of shine oil spray that I had to wash out b/c it was irritating my scalp. I use dot go to Whitney here, a while back and she was amazing but Blanca, cut my hair incorrectly, with uneven layers on one side which I will have to go get corrected. She was impatient, rude and flat out had no concept of customer service. If you are used to higher end salons with people who are not complainers, don't go here. read more
