Great practice. Flex pay and very attentive - both of my daughters are/have been in braces and they love it here. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is that they are not very flexible with scheduling - they pretty much only maintain regular business hours, do it can be difficult when both parents work full time jobs. read more

My 15-year-old son came to Alba Orthodontics as a one-time guest. We were visiting relatives on a long trip, and of course a wire came loose from his braces. Dr. Alba's team very generously fit him in despite a full schedule, fixed the wire, and gave us advice on his course of treatment going forward. Then they refused to take payment! It was enough to make us wish we lived in the area. :-) Highly recommended. read more

On the 27th of May, my 12 yro was scheduled for his 1st appointment to start treatment with a motion appliance. However, as soon as they insterted it, I had them immidiately remove it. Yup, it was that bad. We were very excited, despite my initial concerns with the consultation. This place was not at all friendly, the atmosphere was anything but relaxing, they did not participate with my nsurance (or any for that matter), they were not flexible with payment (actually the opposite), and they aggressively pushed me (more so my son) into committing to the treatment rather than allowing us to think about it or explore other options. And as anticipated, they did not take time to discuss OR reiterate my concerns. Instead, they were shallow, superficial, and rude. As we approached the 1st treatment, it was my understanding that id be able to accompany my son. I took off work to ensure i could but the staff literally whisked him into the office before i could turn my car off completey. As i was trying to address my concerns the lady side mouthed me, never stopping to even acknowledge that i was concerned. she only offered to let me wait in the waiting room instead of my car. She said they'd just be a few minutes, that she was only taking some x-rays. As my anxiety kicked in, i realized i couldn't find my keys which my son had been fiddling with just before he was whisked into their office. So as i stood outside the office in disbelief looking for my keys, my son came back out the door to help me look. Quickly we realized he had slipped my keys in my purse but as we were being rushed backin we couldn't figure out why my car was beeping (note: it's keyless entry and everyones staring) so we ignored the beep to avoid delaying the appointment any longer. The lady did say it'd only be a FEW minutes until she'd address my concerns so i figured id go back out and check on things but that never happened. As soon as we got into the office, i of course was placed in the waiting area where i had to wear a mask which only amplified my anxiety, litteraly making me feel like my insides were exploding. Ontop of it all, my son has special needs so we'd been in plenty of situations previously where for example the school admin thought they knew better than me trying to diagnose and treat my kid with disabilities he does not have, like their doctors, just because they didnt like us. So as i sat for 30 minutes in the waiting area, i just began to get frantic. So i asked again where my son was and the receptionist said the same thing the lady said but added some covid junk stating they'd restricted patients (parents) from accompanying their kids back during treatment? which was even more confusing since the restrictions were lifted in the area? So after another few minutes, i demanded an explanation to which i was given by Dr. Jeff Alba in THE WAITING ROOM!! In front of other patient's (who chimmed in) and staff. And he basically just chastised me but invalidating my concerns and blaming me for not remembering what they clearly did not go over and was not in the contract... no where does it say i cant accompany my child to all treatments? Proceeded by the most unprofessional display of customer sevice ive seen yet as he asked me repeatedly if i wanted them to remove what they inserted, when that's exactly what i asked him to do as soon as he walked out. I mean, if they're to cool for explanations than obviously my 6500 can be better spent elsewhere. Why waste anymore of their time or mine right. It's my choice... Yet, he proceeded to tell me I wouldn't find care anywhere else thats "much different?" And after his show, Miss Amanda from billing performed. She took her turn thinking she'd be cute just twisting the knife by leaving me to believe i wouldn't be fully reimbursed the 1000 down payment, only 650. She said 350 went towards a records transer? When in reality my insurance will reimburse me for the rest, smh, which she could've told me but evil feeds evil i guess. So my son and i finally get out to our car to leave, only to find our car battery was dead. Yea, the beeping was my car saying... you didnt completely turn off the ignition. And do you think anyone in that office offered to jump us, nope. None of the patients in the lot did either. We had to walk about a half mile to a sheetz near by to ask some very gracious guys at the gas pump for a jump. God bless them, they didnt hesistate. They followed us back, after a long day of work, to sit and charge our battery while being gawked at. We were so thankful! i did forgot my manners though and i only wished i would've exchanged contact info with them. They wouldn't take money but i would've liked to give them a proper thank you for being just the kindest souls. Those 2 fellas (electricians) helped me teach my son something so much more than what you can buy cosemtically. I'll never regret the experience thanks to them. As for AO, God Bless. BE AWARE THAT DR. ALBA WILL NOT TOLERATE QUESTIONS! Yesterday, I took my daughter for an initial consultation. Dr. Alba said he wanted to extract 7 of my daughter's teeth at once. I asked him how this wouldn't negatively impact her chewing. He said it wouldn't. I pressed for a more specific response. He said, "I've been doing this for awhile, so I think I should know whether it will or not." I said I wanted to do further research on the internet. At this point, he jumped up and said he thought we should terminate the relationship and left the room. I was shocked! Truly unprofessional. read more

All of the staff have been patient, kind, and helpful throughout both of our sons' orthodontics experience. My kids tend to be anxious, and the gentle, caring approach that is taken in each aspect of the office has made having braces much easier than expected! read more
