Right off the bat, I felt very at ease with her as a therapist. We established my goals for seeking therapy and discussed strategies for treatment. She's very knowledgeable and took the time to really educate me on the various treatment options we could explore. Talk therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy helped me become better equipped to deal with my feelings of anxiety and talk myself down before they started to get the better of me. I feel stronger as a person now and more able to handle the curve balls that life throws my way. I'm really grateful for her help. I'd recommend her to anyone who needs help dealing with life's difficult issues.

I find it concerning that when my husband went back because the antibiotic he was on was not…read moreworking (nobody's fault), but when my husband told me the doctor prescribed a new antibiotic and then told him to hold onto the antibiotic that didn't work for an infection that might occur down the road, I was a little taken back. He then said, I don't know if I should take the new antibiotic yet because I already took one of the prior antibiotics this morning, I said, didn't the doctor advise you on this? He said, no. So I called up the pharmacy and asked the pharmacist and she said it was ok to start the new prescription right away and to throw the old one away. I said, the doctor told him to hold onto it for an infection that might occur down the road and she was taken back that a doctor would suggest that. She said, not ever antibiotic works for every infection. She said for example an antibiotic used for a sinus infection is not the same antibiotic that you would use for a bladder infection. She then stressed that the prior antibiotic should be thrown away right away.

I went here over a week ago and they sent a prescription to my pharmacy. The pharmacy said it…read morerequires prior authorization, so I called the number they gave me as a direct line. It always goes to voice mail, after a few days I finally got a hold of a nurse. I told her what was going on and she said it didn't need prior authorization. I have tried and tried calling back but no answer to my voice mails. I finally got through today but was told I had to leave a message. Why bother they won't return it. I'd like to give them negative stars.

I feel especially blessed & fortunate to have been sent by my family physician to Dr. Kevin L. Rakszawski. I expected that I would get a good doctor, but was blown away by Dr. Rakszawski and his colleagues/team. They treated me and my wife and our concerns with the utmost respect and dignity. They infused humor into a difficult process, and put us at ease. We were, frankly, scared. We didn't say so, but indubitably, he was aware. His knowledge, his calmness, and his bedside manner are second to none. I would HIGHLY recommend him and his team to anyone who needs to see a competent, thoroughly on top of the state of his/her profession professional. He zeroed right into our issue immediately, and was an excellent quarterback for the process we had to go through. My son is tangentially in the medical field in another state, and has access to physicians' ratings/education/experience nationwide. I asked him to look up Dr. Rakszawski and let me know what he found. Our son had wanted me to go to the Mayo Clinic, but after looking into Dr. Rakszawski and his rating from his peers/colleagues, he said, "Dad, it looks like you've found the best, stay with Rakszawski." I did and we are very glad and most grateful to him and his wisdom, technique, and sincere desire to help his patients. On a scale of 1 to 10, he is way off the scale, the best of the best.

My stay had its ups and downs. Staff are inconsistent. Nurse calls went from excellent to poor…read more Food was so-so. PT staff were wonderful. Dr's were ok, except one who was super. My recommendation is aides become more familiar on how to care for patients after typical surgeries. lounge furnishings look beautiful, but are not conducive for patients after major surgery. Sharing a room after surgery is also difficult. Though my roommate and I never spoke, I constantly felt uncomfortable by either imposing on her, and vice versa. The rooms are small and again furnishings, including beds, are not fit for patients coming from some major surgeries.

Excellent staff attention from Libby, the check-in receptionist, who was very personable. And attentive care from Youry, M/A, and Nirja Chudal, CRNP, my medical provider. The UPMC patient portal is perfect for checking in for appointments, ordering prescription refills, and viewing my lab test results and appointment summaries.
