It was our first time exploring Venice, and this is one of the most magnificent little corners in one of the best plazas in the floating islands.
As we were to learn later, the plazas in ancient Venice were the places where residents farmed and produced food for the inhabitants. And while food is no longer being produced, these places are the centers of sustenance for the many visitors arriving to the floating city.
Albergo Antico Capon is located in one of the best of these Campos or plazas - the Campo Margarita. And
Not only is the location a prime one, but so is the service and the food.
Regarding the location, it is so centrally located that when we visited were entertained as we sat at the tables outside by the graduating classes of Doctors from the university. Their chants of "Doctore! Doctore!!" filled the air with such joy and enthusiasm that we couldn't help but welcome a couple of the students and their friends over to our table and invited them over for a couple of drinks!
All in all, stop at Albergo Antico Capon if you're visiting Venice, and Campo Margarita. It's the perfect location to grab a bite, get a drink, and enjoy the magnificent view and life of the plaza! read more
