We are humans with real medical concerns. Those young folks answering the phones and putting in referrals don't have enough common sense to even follow-up to make sure the referral they sent was received. Most of the time they are not because they did not do it properly. They even told me an urgent referral takes 2-3 weeks. Even my insurance said this was a bunch of B.S.

He has helped me overcome hypertension, swelling in my legs, he takes my ECGs. He has ordered tests for blood work, and cholesterol screening. He has in-clinic capabilities for most of this. He has treated and cured me of gout. He proactively changed my triglyceride prescription to a new one that has been FDA cleared for proven longevity. Only once he momentarily paused to formulate an answer to my existential question, "How will I know if I will live longer on this new med?" I withdrew the question - It dawned on me that I would know because thanks to his expertise, I would still be here next year and for years after to ask these eclectic questions. I would post, he would report to remove it, then I would repost and the loop repeated. I'm coming to Yelp and reposting for the final time. People get away with things because they rely on others being quiet about it and I won't be silenced. Here are some more details I initially left out of the below review because Taxman seemed confused. While I was having a panic attack he held up his wedding ring hand in front of him and waved his hand around showcasing his ring-- I'm not sure why he thought that was appropriate? What does his relationship status have to do with my appointment? Is this standard for all his appointments? He seemed confused, I told him while in the middle of a panic attack I'm not here to date you??? I'll continue to repost this until the end of time, no patient should have to tolerate this and then pay $800/hour My appointment with Dr.Taxman was incredibly disappointing. I had a small panic attack at the beginning of the appointment, when I recovered I looked up and his head was tilted down and eyes looking up glaring at me... he looked angry? We just sat there and stared at eachother for maybe 60 seconds until I broke off the stare off. It was scary, bizarre, and cruel. I was as mostly looking down with my eyes closed during this panic attack, so idk if I said something but I was kind of hyperventilating too. Nothing warrants that response from a doctor though. I still asked about my issues though, I have year round allergies I asked about and he shrugged and mentioned one drug, that was it. We went over two prescriptions I have, he said wow that's a high dosage when referring to my antidepressant, he did not elaborate. There was a knot on my throat he said he would be willing to see through till the end-- I'm OK, I'll go to another doctor. It's clear he didn't want me in the appointment and he had an attitude the majority of the time. He rolled his eyes twice while I was talking. I read glowing reviews from other patients who he's helped with similar issues before booking. He did help me some and he softened up near the end. There were several other issues but I'll leave it at that, he seemed confused by the purpose of the visit. I overestimated his abilities as a professional and as a doctor. Taxman has weak character and questionable moral compass if this is how he treats people/patients.

I am seeking a new permanent primary care physician under my new health plan…read more I presented three areas of concern to Dr. Lewis: - I have been previously diagnosed as very close to being diabetic by my previous physician - I have moles that have changed color and unusual dry skin patches that are of concern as melanoma is in my family - Tired and dry feet, with emphasis on the root cause of nerve damage due to a previously broken back ( I had a disc collapse and removed ) which caused permanent nerve damage to leg & foot Dr Lewis ignored the diabetes and melanoma request, looked at my foot and prescribed Epsom salts. That's it - nothing else. He would not allow me to speak in any way about my previous health history. He did not order blood work as I was a new patient. He did not request my previous physician's records. He shut me down at every turn, was rude, egotistic, and just got up and walked out the exam room at the 15-minute mark. He has no empathy, no professional skills, and definitely no concept of how to treat people both medically and personally. I do not recommend him under any circumstance.
