While waiting for an appointment, it's kinda tacky to hear staff loudly talking about a call with another patient who was frustrated with them about scheduling, and hear them make fun of her and say things like 'I was gonna tell her the information she needed but she cut me off so good luck to her I guess haha' like... I get this is your job, and everyone wants to complain about their work or 'clients/customers' that they view as annoying, but this is the healthcare field. This is people's lives, and yeah folks get frustrated in regard to their personal health and trying to navigate the hell that is our healthcare system. Leave those conversations at home, or at a low enough volume that folks in the waiting room can't hear you. It does not fill me with confidence that patients information and struggles are going to be taken seriously and not mocked when I hear that in the waiting room. Also not being able to schedule an appointment 3 months out, when I was specifically told by my doctor that I need to come back in 3 months, is kinda ridiculous. I'll try and remember to call back and schedule myself in a few months, but it's very likely I'll forget which is why I wanted to get it put on the books today. :(

I was searching for a new physician after my primary…read morefor more than 6 years began to have longer and longer wait times to see her, then longer wait times to see PAs. It got to where I had to schedule my yearly Pap 6 months in advance, and regular visits (once for bronchitis at least 3 weeks out) as well. Dr Kemp was a physician at a local practice with several other physicians. About 6 months after my first appointment, I was alerted that she was moving to her own private practice a few blocks away in Orenco Station. Her staff consists of a very professional (and delightful) office manager and one of my favorite nurses ever; as the practice has grown, she's added a nurse assistant. The clinic is in one of the cute Orenco Station townhouses; very elegant with an Italian theme and three clean, comfortable rooms. Dr Kemp has helped me manage my medical issues with compassionate care. She is very professional, yet warm, and always takes time to explain to me what the issue is and the treatment approaches. When I had an on-the-job foot injury a few years ago, she worked with my podiatrist and Worker's Compensation to make sure the process leading up to the surgery (by the podiatrist) was smoother than it otherwise could have been (WC is a pain to work with). The only downside of her new practice is that she is extremely popular and *does not* shuttle her patients out the door after the insurance-required 15 minutes - and this means more time in the wait room, but it's worth it for a doctor who truly cares.

Then reporting it to owner and she states services were still rendered so payment is still required. Then having to repost this review 74 separate times because the doctor is trying to hide what happened. The next step is going to the Oregon Board of Natropathic Medicine. I work full time, just started a full time Masters program, still dealing with extreme fatigue which was the main reason for my visit and I'm STILL trying to get some kind of resolution. I thought Taxman was a good doctor but he was horrible, self flattering, snide, and indifferent to helping me. I'm still flabbergasted because I thought I was choosing a good doctor who could guide me to other good doctors and give me advice. I did not get that at all. He could have rescheduled me with someone else if he knew he wasn't going to help me. People get away with things because they rely on others being quiet about it and I won't be silenced. Here are some more details I initially left out of the below review because Taxman seemed confused. While I was having a panic attack he held up his wedding ring hand in front of him and waved his hand around showcasing his ring-- I'm not sure why he thought that was appropriate? What does his relationship status have to do with my appointment? Is this standard for all his appointments? He seemed confused, I told him while in the middle of a panic attack I'm not here to date you??? I'll continue to repost this until the end of time, no patient should have to deal with this and then pay $800/hour My appointment with Dr.Taxman was incredibly disappointing. I had a small panic attack at the beginning of the appointment, when I recovered I looked up and his head was tilted down and eyes looking up glaring at me... he looked angry? We just sat there and stared at eachother for maybe 60 seconds until I broke off the stare off. It was scary, bizarre, and cruel. Nothing warrants that response from a doctor. I asked about my issues, I have year round allergies I asked about and he shrugged and mentioned one drug, that was it. We went over two prescriptions I have, he said wow that's a high dosage when referring to my antidepressant, he did not elaborate. There was a knot on my throat he said he would be willing to see through till the end-- I'm OK, I'll go to another doctor. It's clear he didn't want me in the appointment and he had an attitude the majority of the time. He rolled his eyes twice while I was talking. I read glowing reviews from other patients who he's helped with similar issues before booking. There were STILL several other issues but I'll leave it at that, he seemed confused by the purpose of the visit. I overestimated his abilities as a professional and as a doctor. Taxman has weak character and questionable moral compass if this is how he treats people/patients. Edit: I went to a real doctor and turns out my insomnia/extreme fatigue is from perimenopause, started HRT and my sleep has improved immensely. I didn't expect Taxman to know that necessarily but his suggestion for my sleep issues was that I was bored... and to stop taking day naps...and 6 hours of sleep is normal for some people... Since I said I was going to report my experience with Taxman to the Oregon Board of Natropathic Medicine because Dr Harding and Annie Grossarth weren't doing anything to help me they cancelled my Cymbolta appointment with a different doctor. So if a doctor does anything similar to you and you report it you'll probably be denied access to healthcare here... How many other patients have had similar issues here and they couldn't defend themselves. Try giving patients kindness and dignity, get some ethics training as an organization. Anyways, this place is a JOKE Update 9/3/2026: I nullified my complaint with investigator Doug Cook from the Board of Naturopathic Medicine regarding Taxman. I oscillate between empathy for others and self respect. How I was treated was disgusting but ultimately I don't think his lack of respect, lack of empathy, lack of professionalism, lack of many other things should be on his permanent record. We all have power in this world, we should use it for good instead of whatever the hell this place and this doctor is doing.

I had a very warm and encouraging conversation with…read moresomeone in May who guided me to write an online inquiry describing what I was looking for in a doctor so they could thoughtfully place me with the appropriate professional. The one who I read had openings was not my first choice, so I was led to believe that another doctor, whose online bio appealed to me, would be shown the form I filled out and I'd get a response. So, I never got a response. I called in June to remind her and was told "the doctor was on vacation" blah blah blah. She promised she would show the doctor my inquiry and I'd hear back either way. This didn't happen. That conversation was on June 5th and it is now over a month later. I give up on this practice. How can you be offering "concierge" medicine which is supposed to devote extra time to patients and completely ignore a potential new patient who is willing to jump in and pay the practice MONTHLY whether being seen or not? Ugh.
