This is the first farmers shop I discovered in Prague. I was excited, because I tend to miss all…read morethose farmers markets on weekends that finish around 12. That way I miss the fresh vegetables, yogurts and meat products. What I like about this shop, they tend to have a lot of fresh products and ideas that tend to move away from the ordinary. Fresh goose in the season, St. Nicolas packages, apples in autumn or potatoes, just when the time is right. Don't expect a big amount of vegetables, I don't buy it here. I tend to stop here for fresh goat cheese and the whole grain bun in the morning. If you have a sweet tooth the cakes and pastry is also really amazing. For me, a perfect choice when I miss my open air market.

Larger than the Tesco Express only a short distance away, this is where you come for a larger selection of everything you need and can't get at the Tesco Express. Plus they have a fantastic meat and cheese counter in the back with delicious rotisserie chickens and cooked kielbasa. Household items are a bit limited here, but for that I go to the larger Tesco near the Andel Metro just a short walk away. Don't forget to bring your own bags. I recommend you invest in some inexpensive tote bags as soon as you arrive in Prague to carry your groceries.

If you need it it's likely that you'll find it there but we will take what brand that they have. The staff are not necessarily friendly whatsoever but the ones at the checkout at least are allowed to sit down while they are checking you out. There's a great selection of beer and wine and some prepared foods as well. They have an interesting selection of cheeses and sausages and this is a very typical European grocery store. You don't necessarily have to shop here but you're going to do it anyway because it's easy and it is directly across the street from a tram stop. Easy access, decent selection, and prepared food. Everything you need in one stop.

While it didn't have the largest selection of dry goods and snack foods, it was totally worth it for the produce. They had a large display of fruits and veggies right outside the door, with baskets available as well.
