Don't bother going here for emergencies. I called a week ago and told them I think I need a root canal and that I was in severe pain. I made an appointment and took a day off of work to get my issues taken care of. During my exam the dentist says... Yes I think you may need a root canal. (this I already know and explained to them a week ago on the phone). He then says I will need to refer you out to my root canal specialist. I'm like what? You already know I waited a week and I'm in pain. So they attempt to make an appointment for two days from now. I reply I can't do that, I already took off work to get this done today. So the specialist who is 30 minutes away says ok we can see him. So now I drive to another city to see the specialist only to be told it would cost me $126 just for a consultation... No work on my teeth would be done The work would be scheduled out another week or so because the specialist was going on vacation. Needless to say this type of customer service is unexceptable. I was never told on the phone during the initial call that if in fact I needed a root canal I would get referred out to a specialist. Had I known this I would have made other choices to get my exam. I am beyond frustrated and still in pain with nothing done to fix the issue. I work six days a week in San Francisco ( which is a 2 1/2 hour commute), so my time is valuable. I hope that everyone reads the comment by the dentist in response to my review. There was no confusion on my part. I never named this dentist, I simply said dentist. It happened in his office and there still is no accountability to the breakdown of communication. I simply put that had I known that I would be referred out, I would have checked other avenues. Maybe this is the way care dentistry works but I was never afforded that. It really demonstrates that lack of empathy he has for people. I also agree with him on one thing... I never met him. But I never said I did. It was his office and it was a different dentist. However when someone calls the front desk and describes there symptoms etc. I have had root canals before and told them I think this is what it is. My former dentist did everything in house including the procedure, so that is my experience. It really comes down to just explaining procedurely what to expect if it was a root canal situation. I probably would have came in anyway knowing that because that is the practice of care dentistry. I too feel bad. I feel bad that the dentist takes no accountability for people he employs or things that happen in HIS office. I truly thought I might get some contact where we could have had dialog but instead it's just an example of my experience. I understand he is well established and I hope this was an isolated incident. read more

This whole practice is top notch. The doctors, hygienists and office staff are all extremely kind, gentle and professional. They are conservative and don't recommend unnecessary, expensive procedures; they just do the work that is needed and do a great job at it! I have fillings from 15 years ago that are still perfectly intact. Very busy office with a high volume of patients, but runs without a hitch... appointment reminders are sent, and I don't think I have waited more than 5 minutes to be taken back. I would recommend this practice to anyone, without hesitation. Grateful to have a five star dental office so close to home! read more

I cannot say enough good things about this Dental office. Dr Blackhart did my root canal and I honestly didnt feel a thing. (I have had 2 prior and they both hurt during and after) I have never had any pain from any work I have had with Dr Blackhart, which honestly means everything, and he is an extremely relaxed and kind person which makes the whole experience better. And they have the happiest and friendliest office staff ever. I have a lot of work being done and never felt judged or put off. Every assistant, every hygienist, all of the staff at the front desk all make you feel at home and know you by name. Paula did my cleaning today and she was so friendly and knowledgeable and caring I was blown away. she gave me such a pleasant experience that I immediately felt the need to give this review. you can tell they are all very genuine and I could truly name every one of the girls at the front desk and all of the staff because they all do an incredible job every single time I am there. He is the gentlest dentist for my 91 year old mother with Alzheimers. She was very noisey and not a very good patient but Dr. Albertoni and his staff were extremely patient and I could not have asked for more. I had a tooth removed with so much care that I didn't know it was out. I was asked if I wanted the tooth. At first I thought NO but then remembered my granddaughter, Faith, Age 3 who doesn't like brushing her teeth. At Thanksgiving I showed her my tooth with 3 fillings and a cavity and told her that I didn't brush my teeth enough so this could happen to her if she doesn't brush her teeth. From that moment on, whenever she ate anything with sugar, she stopped and asked her mother to take her into the bathroom and brush her teeth. Her mother was busy for the rest of the holiday. Hello fellow yelpers. I'm not one to yelp so much unless a business has gone above and beyond for me. And let me tell you, WOW I called in the day I was seen. I had been having pain on the lower side of my teeth for a while and putting it off as I don't have enough time to see a dentist and it will go away so I thought. Well it didn't and so I called Dr. Albertoni because I met him outside of his profession and was an awesome person. I told my self if I need dental he's my guy. Well made my appointment went in. Filled out the chart. And was completely done in 45 minutes. Amazed yes. Joy his assistant had taken 3 X-rays of my mouth in like 2 minutes. Very non evasive. Then came in the Doc and he was so quick I was blown away. He knew in like 3 min what the problem was. Cleared my teeth of blockage and feel much better I have to go back to have my cavity redone from 30 years ago. Apparently there is a whole in it and the food was passing through. He's very gentle and works carefully because he knows I have sensitive teeth. I've never had any discomfort during my exams or cleanings. I have been a patient of Dr. Tony Albertoni for over 20 years. He is by far the best dentist that I've ever been to and one of the kindest people I've ever met. His staff is also very nice. I am extremely hard to numb and my teeth are very sensitive. I also have soft enamel so I have had a great deal of dental work done over the years. Dr. Tony always goes out of his way to make my visit as pleasant as possible. He takes the time to chat with me and genuinely cares about what is going on in my life. Dr. Tony has been my family dentist for 18 years, ever since we moved to the Central Valley. He is a skilled dentist and a genuine, caring person. I also love his staff, who are always friendly and helpful. In the last couple of years, I've had to move around the state a couple of times and have been a patient at a couple of other dentist offices, but Dr. Tony is still the dentist I trust most.
