So i guess my black water tank from the morning before i arrived was different than from the day after we would have stayed there??!! When we drove out there were no signs that their dumping station was out of order. What a pile of BS. Literally!! They would not refund even part of the money they put on our card. Crooks!! Absolutely do not care about customers! I would NEVER recommend this campground ever! You would think they'd be a little smarter in the age of social media!

Otherwise, you'll lose traction down the paved path. I forgot my hiking boots at my parents and only had my Vessi's... It was fun either way. I sat on my snow pants and slid down the steeper paths. During the winter, it's also popular for cross-country skiing and in the warmer months for mountain biking. I recommend checking out Polar Rush next season for snow obstacle racing. We slid down a tube, crawled over a plank and tangled strings, climbed over obstacles etc. Sometimes they offer discount tickets too!

It's about an hour's drive outside of S Mississauga. Site itself is MASSIVE and there's even camping, that's how big it is! Prior to my visit, I did take a look at what kinds of things can be done here in the Summer. There's also an outdoor pool with a splash pad, I believe that entry was under $5pp. There are tons of picnic areas, but the amenities weren't great aside from picnic tables and metal barrels to put your bbq ashes. Not all picnic areas had a lot attached to it. I went with the intention of hiking, but to be honest, be prepared to get lost! Maps provided/posted were quite poor. There would be a bunch of symbols, but no reference as to what they were. I just ended up using Google maps to make my way back to the car. As far as the hiking goes, it's not really meant for beginners - where the Red trail is concerned. There's narrow parts to the trail and lots ups/downs. To top that all off, the Park is very popular for Mountain Bikers, so you always hafta keep alert as to when they're coming. I'd say that it's better for MTBers, again this is only for the Red trail - the other ones may be better. So not super relaxing if you just want a leisurely hike!

They don't tell the kids its adult time please come back in x they just scream at the kids its adult time go away then continue with swearing etc. As a parent I don't need my 4 year old learning the F bomb. The park is full of outdated equipment, not the old Rubbermaid plastic equipment that is faded this is the old metal equipment that most parks and schools have removed as they pose a safety hazard. There is also a wooden log train for the kids to play on that is showing its age. There is a fishing pond but most of the time its more weeds that anything else. The security at night is obnoxious we have been told to put out the fire at 10:30, he told my wife and I its quiet time at 10pm. The Pull Thru sites are similar to US parks they are small. The sites are so close to Hwy 9 with no trees as a barrier so you have to sleep with the fan on and the windows closed unless your drunk, a few pull thru sites have septic access hatches on them so you have a concrete obstacles to deal with, Not very kid friendly. The rates are on par with most parks situated close to the city. If you live close to Toronto and want somewhere close by for the weekend it's Ok but try get in on a cheap weekend or it's not worth it. As a new RV dealer they have always had good prices and gave fair if not above average trade in values, you get a night free when you purchase a brand new unit with a fairly informative walk around. If you want somewhere to purchase a trailer and save some money go there buy your trailer and plan never return to have warranty or any other work done by them or have any other contact with them until you are ready to buy another unit. DO NOT service your equipment here under warranty or otherwise you get mediocre work at best and if you complain when they don't do what you paid for the mechanic refuses to work on your equipment ever again.

The campgrounds are well maintained, roads are gravel and each permanent trailer spot has a good size plot of land. You feel comfortable enough to spread out a little and enjoy. As a community people are friendly and there are lots of families and the sounds of laughter and general good mood. The facilities include a splash pad that is extremely impressive, a heated pool, a playground, a natural pond, a hot tub, a picnic pavilion, a general store, a volleyball court, a basketball court, horseshoe pits, an outdoor chapel, walking trails, activity rooms and children's activities on the weekends. For weekend campers they also have washrooms in site. This is a great campground.

Hiking trails and the conservation area are a treat for the DW and the dogs. I'll be back for sure as it's close to friends and family.

There are a couple of day-use lots on the outside of the actual park for locals to use, I don't believe you can drive into the park proper to use it for day use. At the time we visited, Orillia was close to peak color, so it was a fantastic time. It was a nice day for a hike, and there were quite a few other people using the park as well -- there's a little beach area in the day use part as well as a playground and places for taking your dog on leash. We went and followed the trails in the park, there seems to be a few that can be used, one in the treeline and one along the lake. You can make a decent little loop of a couple of kilometers. There's nothing incredibly challenging about this little hike, to be honest, but the tree colors make for some gorgeous photos. I'll definitely want to come back and visit here and go camping during the season. A really lovely provincial park!

There is a place to pay for your admission. I was visiting with an annual pass courtesy of the local library. The trails have marking, it can be muddy on wet days. It's not kid friendly the terrain cannot handle strollers and may be difficult for individuals with physical limitations. So please plan accordingly.
