Syrup tasting part of Zoom Tours | IG: @nomwithelaine

I went on this Zoom Tours from Toronto to Niagara Falls around 12:55pm on a Friday since 1pm was my pick up time. For this tour, everyone chooses their pickup and drop off location ahead of time, so I chose the pickup location near Smoke's Poutinerie, but there was still more people to pick up. Anyways, before I got on the bus, the tour guide will check you in and give you a Zoom Tours backpack. I thought it was nice how everyone gets a free backpack, but I didn't end up using it. Ok so for this tour, you don't go directly to Niagara Falls because they bring you to other touristy areas and give you breaks away from the group first. Those touristy areas in order were the Historic Old Town area at Niagara-on-the-Lake, which is where we were given our first 1.5 hour break to explore and do our own thing away from the group before meeting up again at around 4:30pm. I ended up going wine tasting during my short break there at Wine Country Vintners. Then we all met up on the tour bus again and made a quick visit to Living Water Wayside Chapel for about 30 minutes where we learned a few facts about this chapel, take pictures with it, and go inside of the chapel. Apparently it's the "smallest chapel in the world." After that, we all quickly left to go to our next location, which was Floral Clock for another quick visit where we spent about 30 minutes there to take pictures. After Floral Clock, we went to Maple Leaf Place for a maple syrup tasting where we learned about the different syrups, but that was rushed too and we only spent about 30 minutes including the time to buy souvenirs there. Ok now, after all of those random Zoom Tours activities, we finally made our way to Niagara Falls to do the Niagara Cruises as a group! The falls tour was lots of fun on the boat, but can get VERY WET! They even gave everyone a red poncho for the cruise since we were doing the cruise from the Canadian side! Be sure to bring a waterproof phone case if you intend to take pictures throughout the cruise part of the Zoom Tours! Once the cruise tour was over, everyone in your Zoom Tours group is allowed to separate again for 2 hours to do their own thing. I used that time to take pictures of Niagara Falls, explore Clifton Hill, and eat dinner at Hard Rock Cafe since I ran out of time to do the other things I had reservations for, such as going on the Niagara Skywheel nearby and my reservations for the Fallsview Restaurant buffet. Anyways, after that break, I had to quickly meet up with my group on the bus again to head towards Niagara Falls to get an up close view of the falls at night where the waterfall is colorful! They didn't tell anyone this, but Niagara Falls at night is extremely wet and windy and looked like it was raining! Be sure to keep the poncho they have everyone at the beginning of the day since most people threw it away after the cruise so they didn't get to see an up close view of the falls at night! Anyways, after a quick visit of the falls at night, we all headed towards a different side of Niagara Falls for the weekly fireworks show which was our last item on the group tour itinerary! That area of the falls wasn't windy or wet, so the whole group was able to watch the show and look at the falls. That fireworks show was only about 7 minutes long with no background music. I wish the fireworks show was longer. Once the show was over, we all headed to the bus again to get dropped off at our chosen location, so I got dropped off at 11pm. I'd recommend this tour! Yes, it did feel super rushed, but I enjoyed all the activities and things I learned during it. I also appreciated the fact that they gave us multiple breaks to do our own thing away from the group. I also liked how we didn't head straight to Niagara Falls, but did other activities before it. It's also cool how everyone gets to pick their pick up and drop off location for this tour. I came to this tour knowing that I would get very wet at Niagara Falls, so I was prepared with a waterproof phone case and waterproof clothes, which was why I had a good experience overall, but I still do wish they gave us more time so we wouldn't feel as rushed.

Our Tour Bus Driver/Guide made our trip very interesting and enjoyable. He's from Ireland with a unique name- Senen. I think that's his name. He's amazing! He is quick wit. Very informative and funny. Smooth drive to and from destinations. I highly recommend this tour. I just wish we have more time to explore Victoria but overall we had fun.

Omg we had the most amazing tour guy! We did the tour to Niagara Falls it's was an all day tour but it was fantastic. Fabio was out tour guide and he was so wonderful. He was funny, nice and most importantly extremely knowledgeable. The told Is so many historical stories, just amazing. We did everything from seeing the smallest church, to wine tasting, Niagara lake and the falls just fantastic. The only thing was there was a baby that kept crying. I think these Long tours should have a age restriction because it's not fair for a crying baby to hijack a tour but other than that it was fantastic

However, our beer knowledge is limited to Coors Light and Corona so this tour will give us an opportunity to learn more about this concoction. We didn't quite know what to expect on this tour as it was rainy and a bit cold (not bad for a late October day however). We met the group and our guide in front of Steamwhistle Brewery at 11am. Our guide Noah (AKA Chris) was there to greet us. Along with my wife and I, there were 7 other people that were there to be part of the tour. Noah introduced himself, took us inside and led us upstairs where he told us about the company and Oliver, a little bit of a beer history of Toronto and what we will be doing on this tour. BTW, as soon as you arrive upstairs, they provide you with a beer. This is a sign for things to come... A guide from Steamwhistle, Dan, came to tell us about the company and lead us to a tour of the facility. This took approximately 40 minutes and once we came back to the room upstairs, Noah had lunch prepared for us. Lunch consisted of charcuterie: Pretzels buns, assorted meats and cheeses. Let's just say nobody was disappointed as it was very good. Then, we left and hopped into a yellow school bus. This was going to be our mode of transportation for the rest of the tour. Our driver Clem (I believe that was his name) was awesome. Our next stop was Fort York. Noah took us to a little tour of the museum and explain to us the history of Toronto in the 1800's and its relation with beer. No beer tasting in this stop. Afterwards, we went to a driving tour of Corktown and its history. This particular section of the tour wasn't long for us but it depends on the Downtown traffic. It wasn't bad for us. Later, we were dropped off at the Distillery District. We went to Izumi or Ontario Spring Water Sake Company first to taste some Sake. A worker from Izumi, Godfrey, told us about the company and the process of making Sake. We got to sample 3 different types of Sake: Nama-Nama, Genshu and Teion Sakura. Our second stop within the Distillery was Mill St. pub. where Noah offered us the different types of beers that Mill St. offers and the how it differs from each other via process and taste. We had some pretzels bites for appetizers. Then we had some time to explore the Distillery before leaving for our last stop. The manufacturing facility is in Scarborough so therefore it is out of the way. We departed the Distillery for Amsterdam Brewery in Leaside. Here, as Noah warned us earlier, the beers come fast and hard. There's no tour of the facility because they only have it twice a day and it doesn't fit this tour. However, Noah led us with the sampling of around 7 (I believe) Amsterdam beers. The most interesting one was Fracture. My wife and I took part of the optional meal at the Granite Brewery in Yonge and Eglinton. A full meal with another sampling of 4 beers. Noah was a great guide. He was knowledgeable, funny and friendly. He made sure to keep our group relaxed and focused at the same time. He was also time conscious which is a must leading a tour group. He made sure that we were all enjoying the tour plus he was very quick to learn all of our names. This tour goes from 11am to 6pm so be prepared but they have staggered the stops at a perfect pace that you never feel like you are in a rush to get to another location. This tour is not cheap but it's worth it. You will sample more than enough beer and I don't think anyone from our group felt that they were not giving us enough beer at any time. Actually, most of us felt the opposite, that it was too much beer. You will be getting a history lesson about beer and its place in Toronto. Even though I gave 5 stars, they could improve the tour by offering more food along the stops and somehow including the tour of the Amsterdam brewery into the tour. We really don't do anything at Amsterdam besides just sit and drink the offered beers. Kudos to the Old Toronto Beer Tour Company and Noah for creating this wonderful tour and making my wife very happy! You saved me from having me sleep in the couch for a few days. Highly recommended.

It was so nice that everything was laid out clearly. We knew how much time we had for each activity. Our first stop was to the national park. We were getting intermittent rain alternating with sunshine so it was pretty wet. Also the park is on marshlands so even more wet than normal land! lol. We got dropped off by one of the board walking trails. It's very scenic & beautiful despite the rain. The sun came out at times. So nice to get some fresh air & there were birds, frogs, fish all around. Our next stop was at the Presqu'ile lighthouse, beach & visitor center (all near each other). The beach is small & rocky but it was so nice to be near the water. After the lighthouse we got to wander around the small visitor center. It has two single washrooms, a small history room, & a small gift shop. Next was our lunch stop at the Big Apple. There are around 4 food trucks outside the main building. There's a petting zoo also. Inside the main building there are washrooms, a candy store, baked goods, souvenirs, a burger joint & a bar. I liked the big apple but it would be hard to get there without a car. I liked that we got to pay for our own lunch because that also meant we could get whatever we want. Sometimes the day trips include lunch & has a limited menu especially for people with food intolerances. After lunch we got to go to Old Mill Alpacas. Here we got to feed the alpacas, and walk the alpacas. The owner of the farm also did a quick talk about alpacas. It was very interesting! Because of the rain it was muddy of course so we got dirty but I didn't mind as I was prepared with my waterproof boots. Also short trips informed us of weather conditions in an email before the day trip. After the alpacas we had a 30 mins break for dinner at a highway enroute rest stop. Too bad these enroute places don't have better food options. Anyway short trips has no control over that. Our drop off was on time. Overall we really enjoyed our tour with short trips. We would go on another tour with them for sure. Since we don't drive or have a car this is a really nice way to see parts in Ontario we wouldn't normally be able to see.
