I found this company on Yelp and couldn't be happier! I messaged multiple companies and this group had very prompt replies and were able to provide a quick and accurate quote. I moved in-town and opted for the extra helper to try and accomplish my move in under four hours. The movers were courteous and professional and very careful with my items. We are happy to report ZERO damage to our belongings. I had a three bedroom apartment and packed it myself (they packed TVs and lamps for me) and it cost me about $600 total. We had some difficulties with our closing but Tina and the other team members were very accommodating, understanding, and helpful during this stressful time. I waited to write this review until after we took a look at the contents of our POD after moving. We received recommendations from our friends who used ABQ Discount Movers to move into their new house within Albuquerque. We are so glad that we went with these guys. We needed an 8x16x8 POD loaded to move back to Texas. Joe and his team (3 men total) showed up and Tetris'ed the crap out of our POD from top to bottom and front to back. They did wear masks which I felt comfortable offering them the option to remove since everyone was vaccinated. They arrived at our storage unit across town, unloaded it into their truck, drove to the apartment, and then packed everything into the POD. They were professional and careful with handling everything. I was really nervous about our fragile items, but everything made it in one piece including our glass table top, glass desks, and expensive furniture pieces without a single scuff or scratch. I paid for a three man crew because I wanted the job done fast. It would have been helpful had they brought enough dollys. They were supposed to bring three, but only had two. Who do you suppose had to pay for the extra time it took to load? I did a walk through on the old house and discovered boxes not loaded on the truck. I stopped them from taking off to the new house so they could finish up properly packing the old house. Even with that, I checked the garage later and they left two folding tables in there and a plant stand on the patio. They also left behind a vacuum and a large kitchen trash can, an ironing board and two step ladders. They rounded up the end time so I lost about 15 minutes...which I paid for. I was so exhausted due to my schedule recently, I didn't really do a walk through before they left the new house. After they left, I found my luggage was left in the backyard. Juuuuust sitting there. Not in the shed, which was literally three steps away. One of the rooms is inaccessible now because boxes were not put to the back of the room. I open the door to the room and I can look over the boxes into the room I want to access. Not super helpful. Some things weren't set up properly. For example, a patio set. I had brought the patio table to the new house on a previous day with a truck and put it where I wanted it. The movers brought the matching chairs and left them, stacked, on the other side of the patio. Really? They weren't even I unstacked. When I did get a good look around, I felt really stupid tipping so well. Double check their work! read more

There were a couple mishaps - we had a King bed that they attempted to take down the stairs without disassembling which led to some scratches on the wall. There was also a bookcase that was damaged. BUT - they were amazing once I let them know about the issues. They managed to fix the bookcase so it looks brand new. She also had some other workers come out and look at and fix the other minor issues. So overall it was great customer service and we would use them again. read more

The movers were efficient, care, and conscious of our belongings. They took great care to not break or damage anything. This was the worst experience I've had with movers and twice as much as quoted. Your movers spent over an hour on the truck just moving stuff around to rack up the clock. They were full of excuses for what they couldn't do -- like move the couch out of the door -- and stood around for another 10 mins just arguing about not being able to do it rather than figuring it out. They didn't listen to the order the items should be packed in, as there were two drops, and asked me 10 times. Then didn't listen, put it items in the truck wrong and spent even more time rearranging in the truck racking up hours. They have a two hour minimum which was plenty of time for their team to move about ten large items out of my apartment. I won't be using this company so I can't comment on their actual moving skills. I used their website to request a quote by phone last night but have not heard from them today. So I called this afternoon (took two tries to reach them). $85 an hour, minimum two-hour charge, PLUS one hour charge for travel around town. I'm moving across town, about a 30-minute drive, so it'll be significantly cheaper to just pay my friends with pizza. :) I don't know how these rates compare to other local companies, but I don't like minimum charges and travel charges that don't necessarily reflect the actual work done and distance travelled. read more

I used ABQ Discount Movers to move my stuff from my POD to my home. They were awesome. Joseph was the lead, they showed up on time, were courteous, fast and professional. I had considered just having the POD delivered and unloading it myself but the POD would have to sit in my driveway for over a week due to POD scheduling issues and I would have to do all the moving. Having these guys unload the POD at the storage facility, load their truck, move it to my place and unload it took exactly 2 hours and cost me only $90 more than having the POD people drop it off for me to do alone!! Wow! All these people with fantastic reviews, I wish I could say the same thing. First, I have never had good luck with any mover and second, and never has the estimate been even close. When I called to describe the contents of my move and my location I was surprised to find that Corrales was considered "out of town" so it would be an additional charge of $80. I now find this odd as I was also charged a additional charge of $18 for gas as well. I was told it would be around noon when the movers would arrive so I took the day off from work. After many phone calls and various updated arrival times they finally showed up around 7:00 pm! So much for missing a day at work! They finished up around 11:00 and I was presented a bill for $450. Like I said I have never had a good experience with any moving company, so I am surprised about all the glowing reviews here. read more

They confirmed the day before, the morning of, and when they were on their way. The three guys (Joe, David, and CJ) rocked. Wonderful service!!!! I hired 3 men for 3 hours and they moved my entire house with ease. They were very mindful of my furniture and professional. I have nothing but great things to say about them. When they arrived at my house we all stood together and came up with a "game plan" a few minutes later the magic began. Fact is we've moved 3 times in 2 years from a 2 story home to smaller apartment and ADM moved us each time because there is no question they are as good as one could ever hope to hire for moving a household. They are professional, thoughtful and extremely courteous. They even fixed a grandfather clock whose weights were removed incorrectly but they returned specifically to ensure the clock worked perfectly.
