He destroyed the drain cover with a pick axe as he didn't have the right tool to loosen it. Promised he would come back Monday Dec 23rd before Christmas to replace it. No returned calls or text from me or my landlord. Paid $700 and he couldn't bring by a part that cost less than $15 and complete the job. So here it is New Year's Day and still not fixed. It was 11.30 at night and two toilets in my house were severly leaking. Obviously, I had to get a plumber immediately. Don't waste your time calling trhe phone numbers that say 24 hour service. I did for an hour and no plumber company would come out at night. I have used Alex before to replace a water heater. So, I called Alex. He was accommodating as he came over that night to clear the line. Alex is not the cheapest plumber, but, cheap doesn't get it done and he does get it done. I had new sinks and countertops installed in my three bathrooms, which required 5 new faucets. I called Alex at ALC plumbing and scheduled a time for him to come out and complete the job. I can't say enough nice things about Alex and his work. He was here on time, completed the job in less than 4 hours. He installed new valves, new p traps and hooked everything up perfectly. While he was here, he was also able to descale my tankless water heater, which he installed about 1.5 years ago. If I ever need a plumber again, Alex is the man I will call. On the morning of New Years Eve we were without hot water. I phoned my landlord, who in turn called ALC Plumbing. It was an extremely busy day for them and I received a call from Alex giving me a time he would be at our place, which was in the evening due to their crazy work schedule of other emergencies on NY Eve. Alex and his co-worker arrived at around 8:30. They began working right away. Both were polite and professional and friendly as well. They ran into some unexpected issues but they never stopped working until the project was completed around 11:45pm. Alex of ALC plumbing is one of the most hard-working, intelligent, and thorough contractors we have had the pleasure to work with. We had a slab leak (which was not our first) so we decided to completely repipe the house. Alex was able to bid the job at less than half of another local plumbing company and was able to get the work started weeks before we would have been able to start with a large repipe specialist company. Because Alex has worked for a large repipe company, he was able to tell me how they manage to repipe a house in one day...by cutting corners and making "one size fits all" decisions on how to install the new pipe materials. Alex considered the way our house was built and made decisions based on optimal plumbing design, our preferences for pipe locations, and a minimum amount of destruction to our walls and ceilings. We are very happy with his work, including the whole house recirculation system that allows us to have hot water very quickly at all our faucets. He recommended a terrific drywall person who repaired the walls and ceilings perfectly.
