No one ever enjoys having to use locksmith services naturally but my experience with Alcatraz Locksmith was quite pleasing...despite the fact that I lost my vehicle key and was instantly put into a bad mood because of this, I searched around and came across Alcatraz Locksmith. They were super helpful right from the jump by quoting me over the phone and although the original ETA was supposed to be 1 1/2 hours until they arrived to my destination I almost instantly got a call from one of their mobile technicians saying that they were 15 min out. Giovanni was the name of the technician that helped me get out of a bind, greeted me with a smile and a firm handshake and was done with the job in just 5-10 short minutes, very professional service and greatly satisfied as a first time customer, I almost wouldn't mind paying an additional $95 for a spare key as long as I get the same service as I got today! I purchased my car a year ago and began having problems starting my car and told my friend about it and as soon as she saw my key she told me i needed a new one. I went online and searched for the nearest locksmith shop and came across Alcatraz, i decided to give them a shot after reading their great reviews. As soon as i walked in i was greeted with a beautiful smile by Ruth and was so patient and kind in explaining the process. I had no idea how poorly the condition of my key was in and if i would have waited any longer it could have damaged the lock of my car door and engine(as you can see in the picture above). I was stuck at J Street park with my dogs, tired and hungry after we walked for ages. Then we tried to get in the car to go home but NO KEY! I called my husband from work, who had to go home first to look for an extra key. Turns out we didn't have one. (I know) I hardly EVER drive. Anyway, he called our insurance and some awful locksmith,who said he would be there in an hour. Ugh. Then he looked on my SMART phone and found the nearest one. They came SO fast, thank God, and popped the door open, finding my key right by the door (which I couldn't see by looking in). Problem solved. He was VERY polite and friendly. Gio The Hero!!! I've used Alcatraz Locksmith for creating all the spare keys for my rental car fleet, but today what I needed unlocked was my house! My son is 3 years old and autistic and locked the house door when I stepped out to check the mailbox, sh!@ happens. Gio came out and was able to access the house through a second story window!! Beware. Gio at this company quoted a time frame and a price then changed it at the last minute thinking they could extort more money because it needed to be done today. The owner did not honor the quote instead continued to make excuses from not training his employee correctly to blaming the customer. This company needs to learn the legalities of a quote and that not honoring it and trying to switch it by $100.00 is unethical and illegal. I would strongly encourage anyone looking for a locksmith to find another company that honors it's quotes and cares about customer service. Last week I put my only working car fob through the laundry. I called the Ford dealership for help, but I was out of luck because Ford does not keep replacement for cars over ten years old. AAA could not help either, but they put me in touch with Alcatraz Locksmith from Chula Vista. The serviceman, Ricardo, arrived in a timely manner, helped me to unlock the car and showed me how to get it started without the fob. He was able to locate a backup fob for me as well. So today I broke my car key walking out of my house. I called Alcatraz for a quote and they offered 100 for BOTH Keys cut and programmed!! I then called busy bees for a quote and they said 150 for 1 key cut and programmed. It was a no brianer, I obviously chose Alcatraz. Ask for Giovonni! We had to evacuate due to the fires. We got here last night, this morning we went for a walk and when we got back we were locked out of our RV. These wonderful people came out within 15 minutes.
