I looove alchemy! I live super close and walk here whenever I have a free afternoon. My go-to is an iced matcha, and theirs are fantastic!! They use really small delicious crunchable ice, so I don't even mind getting to the bottom of my drink :) I'm not a coffee person generally, but the Nina Simone (Americano with mocha) is yummy as well! The bakery items are also delicious and totally worth it for a snack to go with a drink. The basil pesto roll comes with a spicy sauce and is so yum. The baristas are always very friendly and quick with drinks, and I love the nooks of goods and art from local artists. This place is worth every min & sec it takes me to write this review . I'm not the type to write reviews , but Alchemy coffee is so worth it . I'm not from Utah I'm from California I love to look for hole in wall coffee shops , this one has my whole heart right now . My husband loves the mocha iced coffee and I love the chocolate chia . My husband isn't a chia kind of person , but he did like the chia as well. We also very much enjoyed the basil pesto roll SOO DELICIOUS , such a fabulous pastry. Not only were the drinks and the food wonderful , but the atmosphere was so warm , peaceful , and the staff are so welcoming and sweet . Went back in October and got their Pumpkin Coven, which I absolutely LOVED. It was our first time there and I've been meaning to go back! If I lived closer, it would definitely be my go-to coffee spot. The day we went there was only one barista taking and making orders, so while the whole process took longer than expected, our barista was surprisingly still cheery and kind. Stopped in Alchemy on a Sunday afternoon with my daughter and I'm so glad that I did. I love the vibe of the place, as the walls are covered with art and the plants make this place aesthetically pleasing. The service was great as the staff were super friendly. As for the drinks, I really enjoyed my order. I got a mocha, and it was lovely. Unlike other places, where their mochas can be overly sweet and overpowering with chocolate to mask the lower quality espresso, this one was perfect. I've had good experiences with alchemy coffee in the past as I've enjoyed the taste of their coffees and pastries. I also used to study here frequently as they have wifi available. However, after two separate instances of getting their coffee, I got terribly sick in the bathroom for many days after. Might've just been off days those two times, but I stopped going unfortunately. read more

First came the referral " you have got to stop by Alchemy " OK. Was I pleaseantly surprised, but the minute you walk through the front you know you're in for a quality experience. Went in at 8am on a Sunday morning. There was one other person in the place besides me. The shop is not huge, but has a decent amount of cozy seating. I ordered a dirty chai with oat milk. It was around $7 including tip. The barista asked if I wanted the chai on the sweeter or spicier side which was appreciated. They had a variety of baked goods that looked great, although I did not try any of them. Parking in the lot is limited, but there is street parking as well. My husband got the Spring Break which was a coconut and caramel latte and was really tasty with the perfect amount of sweetness. I got the May Flowers which was a matcha latte with violet and white mocha, but added in a shot of espresso since it originally didn't have any. Alchemy has been in walking distance to our house in Liberty Wells since we moved in 3 years ago and my husband and I never really visited until the recent birth of our son! We have enjoyed afternoon neighborhood walks with a stop at Alchemy for tea a few times a week since mid-October. The staff has been so sweet and accommodating, always going out of their way to say hi to our little guy and bring a treat out to our dog. Never have I ever experienced such terrible customer service in my life. I don't know what they have against ethnic people but my friend overheard them making comments about how we didn't fit the vibe of the shop and shouldn't be allowed. As if my nose piercing, tattoos, and brown skin did not match the shop that seemingly used decor inspiration from several cultures. Not only were they talking behind our backs loud enough for us to hear but they also made comments about crowding the customers when we were purchasing art from the local artist machine. Even after we had apologized and clarified we weren't in line. If you didn't want our support, maybe don't have the artists advertised and have a sign on the window saying white people only. As a former barista, I have been in their position but would never make such comments or maybe that's just my morals and their lack of it. read more

The coffee is great (from the Tetons frappe I got) but the enormous chocolate croissant I received was stale, dry, and nothing like a croissant imo. It was quite disappointing. The frappe however, was a different story. I ordered it less sweet, and it's unique additions of banana, mocha, and macadamia made it super worthwhile. The ambiance was charming with a vintage feel, which was marred by something dripping from the ceiling and onto the people below. Although the croissant was bad and the ceiling was as leaking, I'd definitely come back for another of their amazing Tetons frappes. read more

I had some time to kill on a Saturday morning and had not yet had any coffee. So I hit up Yelp and found a nearby coffee shop with good reviews. I headed over, library book in hand, ready to sit in a cozy chair and read my book while sipping on a bevvy. Unfortunately, the dining room was closed due to covid, so I had to take my drink to go. No problem, I totally understand. Hopefully someday soon we can enjoy a public dining spot again. The service was fantastic! People were friendly and welcoming and got my drink out quickly. To go along with my coffee, I ordered a plain croissant, my pastry of choice. It ended up not tasting good at all-I saved that for my teenage son who eat anything.
