I should have read the reviews, should have listened to the advice, should have known better--but apparently, I needed a full course in "How Not to Pick a Lawyer 101." This so-called law firm promised me a case back in March 2025, and now it's September... still nothing. I've called, left messages, and they ghosted me like a bad Tinder date. At this point, I could probably write a trilogy with all the voicemails they've ignored. Professionalism? Nonexistent. Communication? What a joke. Decency? Apparently extinct. If disappearing acts and ghosting clients were an Olympic event, this firm wouldn't just sweep the podium--they'd vanish before accepting their medals, leaving only empty suits behind. Promises were made, updates never given, and clients like me were treated like invisible obstacles in their apparently thrilling hobby of avoidance. I learned my lesson the hard way; now it's your turn: save your time, your sanity, and your hope for justice--find a real lawyer who actually answers the phone. Got into an accident and let them handle my case. Not blaming them for the 4 years it took (pandemic) but there were some issues. After my settlement was approved, it took almost 3 weeks after the date they claimed I'd receive my funds. Apparently a scammer emailed them and they almost sent them my settlement. The only reason it didn't happen was because someone forgot a piece of info and they had to call me to verify it. 6 months after receiving my settlement I was getting calls from lien holders claiming that that Alder Law hadn't paid them a dime. Alder ignored my calls and e-mails about the issue for 2 weeks. I just found out today that they finally paid the liens at the end of last month. They never responded to me at all. They'll get you money, but they're as shady as weeping willow tree. read more

I actually posted a review not long ago and for some reason it is now no longer posted. This law firm is lousy. They strung my daughter on for one year and told her how huge her lawsuit would be against her employer. A year into this they actually instructed her to quit her job where she had high pay, pension and benefits. They claimed it was time to start filing for the right to sue since they had already been through investigations, mediation, etc. After quitting her job, this lost firm completely ghosted her and then when she reached out to them if the new attorney handling her case said she would no longer be representing her, sent her something in the mail and just wrote her off. Now jobless and having a baby on the way. She is completely traumatized by everything that has occurred. Her job was so specific and a very hard to find kind of job. Now she has to start her life over again at 30. This law firm did her dirtier than her original company. These people should not be ethically practicing law at all. We are terrible. Please do not call this place at all. Beware. read more

I got in a car accident a few years where fault was disputed. I was worried my medical bills wouldn't be covered. update - do not trust this law firm. i have been emailing for weeks now and their communication continues to be terrible. i am asking questions about how they determined, without informing us, certain information and silence. they put in our compromise and release "the applicant expressly indicates a desire to settle this case without cms approval and understands the effect of the parties desire toforego cms approval. the applicant understands that by foregoing cms approval itis possible that cms maywithhold future medicare benefits if cms deems the settlement to be inadequate but wishes to proceed with settlement anyway." they withheld information about the cms process with myself and my mother (and on top of that, their case manager provided us with inaccurate information) and it impacted our ability to make an informed decision and they made a decision for us and then this was written as if my mother decided this herself. please go to another law firm that puts your interests first. i am filing a formal complaint. read more

Alexis, and the entire team at Alder Law is very professional and has good follow-through. She constantly updated me throughout the duration of the case and informed me of the steps they were going to take in order to get the case settled in my favor - which in the end they did! This review is for Zapanta-Alder Law Today I called to ask a question about an existing case with another Law Firm that has just been sitting there for 3+years I don't get any updates and every time I call they give me the run around. I called Zapanta Alder Law because I came across them on IG and all the nice things they are doing for the community. I got an answer right away and was able to express my situation and what my questions where. Unfortunately they are not able to take my case BUT that did not stop SAM from going out of his way to look up information and guide me to what my next step should be. He gave me phone numbers and even looked up my case # so I can have for future references. Please do yourself a favor and call another law firm unless your alright with getting the run around and lied too. My accident case closed and got settled over 8 months ago and I still haven't received my settlement money. I promise who ever uses alder law is in for the biggest lies. VERY UNRELIABLE!!! my case was left untouched for a whole year!!!!! ive called multiple times to get updates, no answer, no replies or responses in a whole year! my car wasn't fully fixed 100%, my bills went into collections following my accident because these lawyers/receptionist were negligent and didn't take the necessary steps in actually taking care of me and my case. steve sweet came highly recommend by my dad, my dads recommendation meant a lot to me so to see this joke of a lawyer and law firm fall short is very disappointing. *Warning* stay away from this place... they are crooks.. not honest people at all.. the owner michael alder is the worst very unprofessional and does not even respect his clients i never received an apology for the poor treatment i received from the lawyers at his firm after complaining...they also ended up coercing me n tricking me by lying about mediation ... but that is to expect given the treatment i received from the owner clearly they are all scumbags... i came in with a moderate brain injury and laura sedrish grilled me like a criminal evn tho i was the defendant something a person in my condition did not need nor deserve she and the lawyers are racist and so is the owner.... they refused to release my settlement money after they received it and held on to it untill the anniversary date of my accident bcus they sat on it for 4yrs the owner refused to talk to me for two whole months and adress any of my concerns or issues... he would nt evn talk about it with me he only would talk to me about the fees in dispute which goes to show his main concern n greed n still refused to give me my portion of the money for over two months... they r lazy they did not wanna do their job in court they tricked me into settling against my will n coerced me into signing a deal i told them i did not wanna sign at the end of it all they ended up taking home a bigger portion of the settlement than i received and refused to waive their fees and fake medical liens they made up to steal a bigger part of my settlement .. they did not get me compensation for pain and suffering nor for future medical costs i am permanently disabled unable to work or do school and they would not even do their job bt they were quick to collect ... they caused me more stress n suffering as if i did not have enough on my plate n as a brain injured person it affected my health alot.... they totally took advantage of my cognitive disabilities...my case was worth so much more than what they got me n still they managed to make their portion of the winnings more than what i got to get... also bj the attorney who goes by the name byron abron is another lying scumbag .. he told me lets try mediation i said no then he insisted to try n if i dnt like what they offer i dnt have to sign when i got there they told me a different story n said i have to sign and if i dnt they can sue me and then i will owe them more money on top of everything. I am now permanently disabled with only $30thou to make it last for the rest of my life since i cnt work ... jst to state my i juries so you all can get an idea of what my case was worth n how much this firm devalued it and made me lose out on pain n suffering n future medical costs which now i am suffering without cus i cnt afford... i have a moderate brain injury, three bulging disks on my neck, two torn wrists, large tear in my shoulder, cracked rib, 2buldging disks in my lower bck... i have denervation in both my upper and lower extremities.... i have crps on my left arm from the accident... i was crushed between my motorcycle and an suv and when i told the lawyer how it all happened she told me i did not hit my head after i said i did n she told me she thought i have cancer nt a brain injury she is not a doctor to say this she was the dumbest person i had to deal w i dnt know how she made it through school... these ppl don't know what they are doing nor they they care or respect their clients they r jst there to collect w out doing their job... all i saw at this firm was a bunch of sociopaths who lack empathy n compassion or caring for another human being.. they have no integrity or respect for another human wat so evr and they do not even uphold the code of ethics as lawyers... my case was mishandled and clearly this is a malpractice case... going here was the biggest mistake in my life n left me ruined with no future or at least future medical treatment n they evn made me go homeless due to them not releasing my settlement funds for more than two months. I'd select zero stars if i could.. this firm is being run by a bunch of crooks and sociopaths. They take advantage of ppl with disabilities and pray upon the weak and uneducated in law which is all of us w out a law degree. read more
