So we visited Aldi for the first time today. And honestly I cannot figure out what all the hype is about. Immediately upon walking in I look at the produce area which looks heavily shopped, wilted and not fresh. We move on through aisle to aisle of the store to experience aisles and shelves in disarray and really nothing looking appealing enough to purchase. I'm sure it has its own following. And perhaps if I scoured the shelves comparing prices with competitors I would find a deal somewhere. But, it's certainly not worth adding it as a weekly stop when shopping for groceries. read more

It was fun to visit an Aldi outside of my hometown of Huntsville, AL. Mom-in-law and I came in for a few items she was looking for (shallots, Karo syrup and pie crust for her and Aldi brand cheese Advent Calendars for me). MIL scored everything but shallots and after perusing the store, I asked a very kind and helpful young man about the Advent Calendars because I knew they hit the shelves on Advent Day (11/03 I believe) each year and sell out quickly. He said, yup, they were all gone as soon as they stocked them on Advent Day. :( I knew this would be an issue with all the supply chain problems stores are facing these days, so I wasn't surprised. In case you are curious, the calendars are YUMMY! They are ~ 14.99 in store and ~ 60.00 thru vendors such as Amazon. Aldi also has wine advent calendars and gin advent calendars (in select markets for both of those - this store had neither that I saw) and readily available chocolate advent calendars which I think I saw here, but am not 100% sure - will upload photo shortly. I love the "2 buck chuck" wines at the SE Huntsville AL Aldi (well one of several really) and got a bottle of 9.99 pinot grigo that was not bad from this Aldi. [I did notice their wine prices were higher than the store I'm referencing in AL; however this store had a larger selection. Sad to see such poor reviews for this location. I personally find this location to be clean, well stocked and fun to shop. I really love the Adli find sections as you can often score some really amazing finds from name brands as well as thier home brands. Another bonus to Aldi is that they offer a fit and active line that is left calorie, as well as an all natural line that is organic and gmo free. At these prices that is crazy. I am personally a big fan of thier Never Any! line of meats. Customer service at Aldi will never be amazing, as the store is set up for efficiency to the extreme, this is part of thier business model that helps keep it so affordable. The carts are coin operated so that people have more reason to bring them back, eliminating the need for additional employees to wrangle in carts. The packacking has barcodes on all sides for fast and efficient scanning allowing them to not need additional cashier's - also why they don't bag the groceries and just toss them into the cart. I personally have never had a rude employee here, efficient, not chatty, sure, but never rude. read more

I was surprised to see such a low star rating on the Aldi's in Beavercreek. This is by far my favorite. I shop here at least once a week. The produce is always fresh. Prices are decent. Selection on everything is good. My wife loves the product section that changes by season. They have a lot of items on sale if you are patient and wait it out, but if you really want an item, you better not wait because this store is always busy. Their return policy is great. I have returned items here and staff is pleasant and easy to work with. Check out is always fast. Aldi stores in general are great with some unique items that I have grown attached to. read more

Prices are fair and the place was clean. The reason I'm giving three starts is the because the cashier I went to made several mistakes within the minute interaction I had with her: dropped my groceries on the floor, double scanned, and skimped my change. Once I got home I realized I got skimped $3 on my change so hence my three star rating. read more

One word best describes this Aldi location -- abysmal. Like one of the other reviewers, I have found the vast majority of employees here to be rude, surly and entitled. I have no idea where the entitlement comes from -- this is Aldi, not Kensington Palace. It's so bad it often feels like the customers are there to serve the employees. I've learned to ignore it, but today's incident broke the camel's back, so to speak. The customer in front of me in line was obviously having a very bad day due to unknown personal issues. He purposely left his cart parked in the middle of the checkout lane when he walked off after paying, preventing the line from moving up. Instead of getting off her behind and moving the cart, the cashier just looked at it, then at me, expecting me to do her job. I pushed it so that it rolled toward the packing station and out of everyone's way. This amazing employee then proceeded to give me an annoyed look and said, "I need that." Really??? Then earn your pay and go get it! Not wanting to cause a scene, I walked over to the cart and pushed it back in her general direction. She leaned over and positioned it to her liking, clearly angry that I did not subserviently arrange it for Her Highness. To the manager of this branch: You need to fix your customer service and employee behavior before someone reports your poor leadership skills to your district manager (Nicholas Pasquale). If you and/or your employees despise working there so much, do everyone -- including yourselves and your company -- a favor and quit. read more

No problems with the Beavercreek store. Have never had an issue with employees here. But this store in Beavercreek was opened as they were closing an Aldi on Airway Road in Dayton, which was a much needed location for a grocery store for East Dayton. Likewise, the Aldi in West Dayton was closed. Again, the two closed Aldi stores were needed far more than one built in Beavercreek. It's only been in the past few years that an individual living in East Dayton could catch a bus to shop at the Aldi in Beavercreek. Darn shame Aldi could not keep their East and West Dayton locations open to those who needed a grocery store within walking distance. read more

Visited this location yesterday, Friday, Mach 29, 2018 and again was discasted by poor customer service of the team and supervisor working that day. My food was literally thrown in my cart, I was order around and stood in the long line. With at list 5 people working in the floor, no one else came to open the second register for long time. Kathy thrown groseries into my cart and order me around like I am her kid and not a PAYING customer. This is not the first time she is rude and disrespectful. It is last time though I made my purshases in ALDI. read more

I love this Aldi store. It was sad that it got hit with the tornado. I am stuck going to the Kettering store which isn't bad, but I just like the Beavercreek location the best. It has a well stocked inventory and the cashiers are always very friendly and helpful. read more
