This is without a doubt the nicest Kroger location I've ever visited. The store is huge and generally very clean. The floors are always polished and shining, the produce department is usually well-stocked with quality produce, and the deli appears to be clean and sanitary with a nice selection of meats and cheeses to choose from. During my visit on Nov. 9, I waited at the deli counter for almost 30 minutes before it was my turn to place an order. It was approximately 2pm and only one employee was working in the deli. At first, I was very annoyed by how long I had to wait, but by the time it was my turn, I felt sorry for the deli worker. She was doing the best she could by herself and kept her cool with numerous customers waiting to be helped. Usually deli customers must take a number and wait for their turn, but the number dispenser has been missing for more than a month. It's not easy to keep track of who was waiting ahead of me and who arrived after me. The deli worker apologized for the wait and was sweet and professional. I've heard that they simply cannot get people to work, so she is stuck trying to cover the entire department herself. There are certain areas of the store that are roomy and easy to navigate while other areas of the store have numerous large displays in the middle of the aisles making it a complete cluster! The customers tend to be rude and have a sense of entitlement, so they block the aisles, take their good old time, cut in front of people, and don't respect the personal space of others. Society today... My biggest complain about Kroger is their weekly featured saving items that require the customer to select digital coupons in order to get the sale price. I successfully select the coupons and meet all of the requirements in small print, but I always get cheated. I hear this from many people. It is difficult for the elderly as well especially if they do not use a smart phone. read more

I live in Xenia, Ohio (who has some of the worst customer service reps ever, the rudest would be Mark), so when I come to the Fairborn, Ohio's Kroger and the customer service is outstanding; I consider myself an Equal Opportunity Reviewer. I review the bad and the good. So, I am very saddened to finally get an opportunity to talk to one of the Fairborn Kroger's employees that I have called about, went online about, and personally talked to a manager about say she hasn't received any praised about a review I reported. Her name is Sharon, she monitors the Uscan at Fairborn's Kroger. She is an epitome of customer service, I go to the Fairborn store about 4 times a week (I try to stay out of the Xenia Store as much as possible) there has not been one time that she has not greeted me with a smile, offered help when it looks like I'm struggling, and thanked me as I'm leaving. You can't buy gift cards between 11pm and midnight! What? Believe it or not, it is true! I went to shop at 11pm knowing the store closes at midnight. I did my shopping and had "self" checked out most of my items but still had multiple gift cards to ring up. Found out the registers at this Kroger will not take gift cards between 11pm and midnight! I am not happy. I actually couldn't believe it. I spent a good amount of time selecting the cards for Easter baskets. I now have to go back tomorrow and do it all over again. The employees were apologetic and told me it was a corporate decision. Regardless, this is unacceptable. Kroger needs to address this issue. Kroger is already over-priced. read more

Well-maintained, fully-stocked "super center" with some goodies I don't think I'll EVER find in my Kroger back in Springfield. AND... If you wander in on a Friday, let the music (LIVE BAND when I was there a while back!!) lead you to the liquor section/bar that was HOPPING!!! Surprising (to me, anyway...) there's a HAPPY HOUR at this Kroger!! Not an empty seat in the "house," and it looked like quite the party!! What a great idea, I'd go often if I lived closer, AND get my (tipsy) shopping done for the weekend as well!! I'm sure this is going on in other, more... HAPPENING areas, though I don't see it ever arriving here in the "Field of Springs." Worst pickup service ever. Went to go pick my order up today an hour late and they say its not ready and they just started picking orders from 4 hours ago. Every single time we order a pick up order this is like this. I gave it a year break and decided to try again today and it's even worse than it used to be. read more

Kroger E Dayton Yellowsprings rd fairborn Ohio they just improved their drive up pharmacy. Added a new tube system that no longer allows larger boxed prescriptions to be sent out. I was lucky today as I had my dogs with me and couldn't leave them outside in my car and a very nice pharmacy tech met me at the front door. I am told most won't do that and based on the others I've dealt with there and their uncaring demeanor I can believe it. whoever upgraded their delivery system by downgrading it needs fired. I'll be going elsewhere for my meds now. read more

I'm biased because of the beer n wine bar however I have never seen such a well run Kroger Marketplace. Setting the bar aside for a minute, every visit the staff are visible. If you need help locating anything there's someone nearby. Fruit n meats are fresh. They have a Starbuck's, fresh soup, asian food, salads. U want some sushi to snack on while you shop? They got it and for reasonable prices. OK so on to the bar. They keep about 15 taps of beer. Not going to find any bud but good quality beer. A lot of local beers and seasonals. Now here's the key. They fill growlers for darn near market price. Got my howler (32oz) filled with a Belgian triple for $8. Prices are unreal. Other side of the bar has about 12 wines to choose from. Will let u taste for free, do a flight, or a glass. The friendliest bartenders in town. And guess what? They can't accept tips. They still give u great service with a smile. Bar is packed from 2pm on. They do wine tasting and tap takeovers. All the servers behind the counter know their stuff and also service customers looking for a certain beer or wines throughout the store. You can get u a glass of beer or wine to shop with. I take a woman who is mentally and emotionally disabled to any place she needs to go because she doesn't drive. We went to this Kroger and they followed my friend everywhere. They said she was stealing. I went to talk to this girl Susie about harassing her. When I told them her situation and asked why they were harassing her they called me a liar, and the manager on duty screamed at me to get out that I wasn't going to talk to her employee like that. Then I got very angry and she told Susie to call the cops. I said I was going to shop. Now what you don't know is that I am a 70 year old disabled woman. I use a wheelchair cart. The police came and said we had to leave. The store wouldn't even let me take the wheelchair cart to my car. We are now banned from the store. I called Kroger cooperate and they said she was stealing. They had no proof. It was just on this woman Susie's word. If you are disabled do NOT go to this Kroger store in Fairborn, Ohio! read more

Don't recommend using pickup at the Fairborn location. They will call you an hour before you order is ready to tell you they won't have your order ready that day and you can come the next day to get it but then completely cancel and remove it from your account anyway. This has happened multiple times and the customer service is awful. They just keep you on hold until the call ends and refuse to help at all. read more

Store is well maintained. Across the board Kroger doesn't listen to their loyal customers. Customers have are still complain about the lousy, tasteless new fried chicken. It seems Kroger rather uses death ears to push this tasteless mess. Previous fried chicken was great. Why try fixing what's not broke! It's a slap in the face to loyal Kroger fried chicken consumers. This Kroger location is FINALLY a Kroger Marketplace, and it is pretty great. To be honest MUCH of this review is based on the fact that majority of my recent stops have been to hang out at the Wine/Craft Beer Bar for some sips with my friends, and a bite from the Bistro. I typically go in with the "intent" to get groceries, but then I'm lured into trying a new wine flight and chatting it up. I will say that so far the Customer Service is top notch. The few times (read: very few) I have wandered from the Wine/Craft Beer area, I am always greeted with a smile and asked if I need help finding anything. Hopefully this type of customer interaction stays even after the hype of the grand opening dies down. The prices are relatively the same as they were in the previous Kroger location, the aisle space is WAAAAAAAAAAY bigger (thank goodness), and if you get the chance, stop by and try a dish from the Bistro. So far my favorite is the Teriyaki Chicken from the Pan-Asian place. I tried the Fried Chicken a few weeks ago, and I think the recipe may have changed... not as flavorful as before. Last but not least, there are over 70 aisles to browse through, so grab a glass of wine or beer and enjoy! If you are short on time (or sometimes just not feeling up to grocery shopping), this Kroger does offer the Clicklist option. Horrible! Friday nights get. Holiday weekend. Lines out the ting yang. No baggers- only 4 regular checkout lines open. And empty shelves!

Do not order delivery. It's been months. Instacart never refunded the order they promised after my food was missing, i was charged for items I didnt purchase, and what wasn't was damaged. That anyone can lack the kindness to hand a customer a smashed loaf of bread is beyond me. I also paid for items I didn't order such as dog food when I don't have a dog and folgers coffee when I not only can't have coffee but would never drink folgers. Kroger customer service doesnt help with it. They tell you you can't even return products you purchased from kroger through delivery because it is through instacart. Absolutely disgusting service. Sorry... because the rest of Kroger is great. There's just no other way to review the delivery service and Kroger's lack of accountability to it. read more

I've shopped at Kroger's for well over 40 years and although I keep trying to find anything good about the new Kroger's here in Fairborn, every visit I am disappointed. Yesterday's VERY brief visit entailed a snit of a pharmacy tech that told me Kroger's didn't price match prescriptions which I know they do. Whatever...it was just 92 cents. Wanted to get a bone in ham. Did not even have one. I have gotten my prescriptions filled there for the past 25 years and first thing tomorrow I'm moving them even. The place is full of snotty, self-absorbed customers. Extremely overworked and extremely underpaid employees. That was definitely my very last try to spend money there. read more

Hey. You know what people don't love? Being ripped off, treated like dirt, and borderline assaulted. All of that happened yesterday. Paid a lot of money for rare roast beef at the deli. 1/4 of it was scraps and shredded fat. So thanks for that! The workers at this store must be treated like slaves by management; that's the only reason I can fathom the staff being so rude. No smiles. No thank yous. In fact, when I tried to inform a bagger that he can't put raw meats in with fresh vegetables in the same bag, HE THREW THE BAG IN OUR CART LIKE A CHILD! Who trains these people? Had that bag hit my wife, you bet your bottom dollar there would be lawyers involved. Also he yelled as he THREW OFF HIS APRON AND LEFT before even finishing. The woman working the register said he's done this before. AND YOU MORONS LET HIM CONTINUE TO WORK THERE?! What if he had hurt a child? Or an elderly person? Placed an order on Sunday and it was not ready at the pick up time. Then it was not ready at the second pick up time and then it was not ready at the third pick up time. It again was not ready the next day. Told me they would call they did not waited all day and now we're on the third day. Called the store and was hung up on three times by Clicklist And waited 33 minutes on hold for the store manager. Megan comes to the phone and goes to look for my order then comes back and tells me that they must've decided to put it back. Flying that somehow I didn't pick it up within 48 hours. I had made three trips to the store for the order that they continued to tell me was ready when it was not then Megan inform me how sorry she is that they're going to screw me on all the digital coupons too as well as the hour, it took me to place the order and the multiple trips back-and-forth to the store. See nothing she can do to help out the customer, her attitude was basically screw you sorry about your luck. Did not offer to help in anyway did not offer to give me back the coupons that expired Monday even though my order was placed on Sunday... This place is just horrific anymore. read more

I was visiting with my daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren over the weekend. They live on a street off of E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Road. With my son-in-law working the rest of the crew headed to this Kroger Marketplace store to get several of this week's sale items specifically the $2.99 bacon. I wanted the $0.69 mangos & avocados also. For a marketplace store I liked the layout. It did not come across as too big. Of course they had the free piece of fruit for the little kids which helps to keep them occupied as the adults shop. The fruit here is fresh and on display at the front of the store. They had a nice slection of specialty cheeses but none were marked down tempting me to get them. I passed a bar while heading toward the back of the store with several patrons on this afternoon endulging themselves. I could see that there is a variety of beer on tap and wine available. In the back of the store we found the bacon part of a buy up to 5 eCoupon promotion for $2.99. On the right side of the store is a pharmacy and HBA department. Then too my excitement and surprise we discovered STO dark chocolate bars were on sale and part of the buy 5 get $5 off promotion. I had a soon to expire coupon for a pint of ice cream also part of the buy 5 promotion so my daughter and I just had to purchase some sweet treats. There was a bit of a hiccup at the self checkout station for me. The bacon wasn't ringing up at the sale price and the bar code on one of my produce items did not scan. Fear not though! Unlike at some other Kroger stores the friendly store associate quickly came over and assisted me two times. I really like this store. I'm glad it's so convenient for my daughter. After speaking to the Corporate office I was connected to the store manager. He promised WiFi connection and said it would happen within 2 weeks. He also said he would immediately look into the chemical smell in the refrigerator cases and then also said he would tell the deli manager to stock the lunch meat I asked for. The management at this location is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!! The Co-Manager named "KELLY" was definitely one of the rudest people that I've ever dealt with. Not only is she rude....but dishonest also. So far, this year (January to July), I have saved $251.23 and $93.80 in coupons. I currently have 846 fuel points and will be using this to get 80 cents off per gallon the next time I fill up! How do I know this. I use Kroger.com! Their digital coupons and savings center make this easy! I also get personalized coupons in the mail for things I actually buy - cat and dog food, TP, organic eggs!, produce, meat, etc. Yes, I said coupons for produce and meat! Also, their organic vegetable section is growing and the whole store will be expanding soon. People outside of Ohio are always surprised by the selection here and I am always surprised to walk into other stores and find the lack of organic produce that Kroger has. As for my dairy problem, there are lots of types of dairy free ice cream including some of the newer flavors, lots of Kroger organics that are dairy free, and a lot of the Kroger brands carry items that are dairy free even when the competition is not dairy free! Dairy free Panko and beef broth are just two examples!!! Would be 5 Stars if they expanded their organic sections and included a wider variety of meat and fish. read more

The boy and I weren't having much luck on this particular day. The 1st 2 places we'd tried to get lunch were closed and the the 1st Kroger we'd gone to had been closed as well. But now that we'd found someplace to eat and were no longer trying to shop on empty bellies, we set ourselves to the task of grocery shopping for the weekend. This seemed like an older Kroger, which whilst there is nothing wrong with that. It was rather cramped and hard to get around with narrow aisles and walkways that were sometimes only big enough for one cart at a time. Things were also laid out a bit strangely and it took us more time than one might think to find hot dogs (surprisingly, set a bit far off from the meat section). They had a decent selection of fresh produce and we were able to find everything we needed there. But the wine selection was a bit peaked and I could have used a bit bigger selection. read more

Yes, I love the new store. But the beer bar is the best part. Well, that and you can have pizza, salad, sushi, or whatever else you can find to eat while you're having a beer. Or wine. There are 10 or 12 taps and the selection rotates. It is just a nice place to hang out. read more

The store itself is really nice, but grocery pickup can take hours with no notice. Spent 2 and a half hours waiting on a pickup for only 6 items. The car in front of me had to wait even longer. All the while other cars are coming and going within 20 minutes. read more

This kroger was recently built and it is absolutely beautiful. Not only is it a grocery store but it's also has its own little dining spot for Starbucks Sushi and they selling other things like pillows and shoes and it's just a well-rounded store Walmart is about to have some competition if they continue to put these types of stores up read more

This pharmacy is terrible. They only have partial fills many times and never notify you of anything being out of stock or that something is ready for pickup. You go back when it is supposed be ready and sorry but it just did not show up today, try back Friday. These are not specialty medications but common drugs. Not controlled or anything like that. Their prices are good but they just can't get it together like a place such as Walgreens or CVS. No one wants to have to go back to a pharmacy multiple times to get a prescription filled. This is my favorite Kroger location! Love the organic section because they have a wide variety of refrigerated, frozen, and dry dairy-free selection. I have a milk allergy. This Kroger is very accommodating to my needs. I also like the good prices! I recently installed the Kroger app. It's awesome to be able to load coupons onto my card and add sale items to my grocery list. read more
