I'm in love with Aldi but learned you need to go early before they run out of those delicious fruit deals!

I've been to this little mom and pop store before when they first open and their selection was a little limited but now the shelves are full and they have a large selection. They have a massive Asian food selection, mostly Korean and Filipino. Highly recommend this local mom and pop style spot if you need something.

There is a good selection of items to make any type of curry, dumpling, or stew. The first part of the store has produce such as different types of Asian sweet potato, various citrus fruits and onions/cabbages. The back of the store has a refrigerated and frozen section with lots of different ethnic herbs, vegetables, and frozen goods. There is kimchi, tofu, and bean paste in the back. The remainder of the store consists of dry goods, such as sauces, oils, paste, seasonings, noodles, teas, and rices. There are also sweet and savory Asian snacks and a small selection of housewares and cleaning supplies. Service is very good and the owner really seems to care about her stock. There is a small book when you are leaving the store to write down suggestions or things that you would like the store to carry.

On this visit, I tried the Blueberry Banana Smoothie and the Turkey Sandwich at their cafe. The smoothie was incredible, vibrant purple, perfectly thick. The turkey sandwich was equally impressive; the bread was toasted to a perfect golden brown, and the balance of the melted cheese and sauce made for a great brunch. Beyond the cafe, it's the perfect spot to grab some fresh fruits and baked goods for home. Definitely a local gem!

We stopped in for peaches over the summer but left with nothing. There were lots of options, but…read moremany of the things we could find at a grocery store with better prices and potentially better quality. The peaches were hard which was a disapointment. We were hoping to find peaches that were more ripe because they were local. We found about two peaches that were a little softer but they had no smell. I was suprised that there were so few local items. If I wanted goods made in PA, I'd go to PA. I asked which produce items were local and it sounded like almost none of them. You can get baked goods, produce, bottled and jarred items like pickes, candy, meats, and "homemade" deli items. There were plants for purchase, some outdoor furniture, and a cafe. The best part of the place ended up being the animals. We fed some goats and took a phot with the large bull statue. I think this would be a great place to bring kids to see the animals. I don't think it's worth the drive if you're staying on the coast because it's mostly grocery store quality produce and items you can get for less elsewhere. But, if you need something to do with kids and you're close by, it's worth a stop.

While online, the "AI Bot" scheduled an interview for him for this morning, Monday morning at 9:15am. My son, being only 17, of course was excited about the interview, got up early, dressed professionally, etc...He arrived at the store a few minutes early and went in to speak with the Hiring Manager. Hiring Manager basically explained to my son that he actually did not have any current open positions and unfortunately the website / AI Bot basically shows positions as being open, then schedules interviews for said positions, but they are not actually real or actually available. My son was not given an interview and was told maybe in the future if a job becomes open, they will give him a call. Thankfully, my son was not overly disappointed and is still encouraged to keep applying at other jobs. I am not upset at all at the Hiring Manager. He seemed to be very polite and professional to my son and according to him, this is all computer generated and out of his control. I understand that, but it was still aggravating and not right for my son to go through that. Aside from that, I think it's important to note that the Camden, Delaware Redner's location has a 3.1 rating out 5 on Yelp...Aldi's, Bylers, Food Lion and Family Dollar all have a higher rating than Redners. Maybe my son is better off not working at this place. All I can say is that this store has changed over the years and is not at all what it once was in terms of food quality, integrity and customer experience. You can see that yourself from other reviewers as well. It's a shame really; this store is just another example of our post-pandemic, non-human centered culture.
