Had a bad experience with their employment process. I hope this is helpful for future applicants...Over the weekend my son applied for a Stocker position at the Camden, Delaware Redner's location. While online, the "AI Bot" scheduled an interview for him for this morning, Monday morning at 9:15am. My son, being only 17, of course was excited about the interview, got up early, dressed professionally, etc...He arrived at the store a few minutes early and went in to speak with the Hiring Manager. Hiring Manager basically explained to my son that he actually did not have any current open positions and unfortunately the website / AI Bot basically shows positions as being open, then schedules interviews for said positions, but they are not actually real or actually available. My son was not given an interview and was told maybe in the future if a job becomes open, they will give him a call. Thankfully, my son was not overly disappointed and is still encouraged to keep applying at other jobs. I am not upset at all at the Hiring Manager. He seemed to be very polite and professional to my son and according to him, this is all computer generated and out of his control. I understand that, but it was still aggravating and not right for my son to go through that. Aside from that, I think it's important to note that the Camden, Delaware Redner's location has a 3.1 rating out 5 on Yelp...Aldi's, Bylers, Food Lion and Family Dollar all have a higher rating than Redners. Maybe my son is better off not working at this place. All I can say is that this store has changed over the years and is not at all what it once was in terms of food quality, integrity and customer experience. You can see that yourself from other reviewers as well. It's a shame really; this store is just another example of our post-pandemic, non-human centered culture. read more

This place is ok. A little all over this place for me. Nothing fancy it was clean and well organized. Went to the deli to picked up some chicken and the lady behind the counter was all a over the place. She could not find our order and even told us we might be at the wrong store. After ruffling through 10 papers she finally found our order. She gave us the order sheet then told us to bring back once we paid or the order wouldn't be made. The comment made me laugh because it was rude and unprofessional. I am giving them 3 stars because the chicken was amazing. Well seasoned soo juicy fried to perfection. Compliments to the chef. I wouldn't grocery shop here but if I'm Delaware craving fried chicken I will stop by. read more

I wanted to try out the new place in the Dover area. Redner's is considered a 'warehouse' market. As I perused the open isles, I saw many items I would purchase for my home. Unfortunately, I was not at home so I could only look. The prices are definitely competitive and there were numerous interesting items on sale that would surely fill my cabinets at home. In addition to grocery store-type items, Redner's has ready-to-eat food and soups in the back if you need a quick bite to eat. Unlike other grocery stores, however, Redner's has a gasoline station on site. The price was at the lowest I had seen in the area, so I jumped at the opportunity. You can get a gas card inside the store. You get $.10 off per gallon once you spend $100. The savings can be used at other gasoline stations such as Citgo, Sunoco, and others. I went to Redners in Camden Delaware this morning, in the express checkout lanes. The older woman fiddles and fiddled around getting in our personal bag she took some pills drink her water then decides to wait on me, while management is watching her. She then proceeds to wait on me I purchase garlic Texas toast it was on sale and listed in the frozen section as 1.99. BUT a course wrung up at 2.89, which was wrong. So the manager walked back to check the price. And the line grew long. No one had any sense of urgency. FINALLY I said enough, I'll pay. The cashier got so worked up because I wouldn't wait for the manager that was taking forever as the line grew longer. She was so rude. I've been shopping in the store for 13 years. I never witnessed someone being so rude to a customer. A faithful customer means absolutely nothing to them. I ever go back I'm going to take a picture of her sale that they post by the item because nothing rings up what it should, they just scam you. Shame on you Redners in Camden, Delaware. read more

Poor stock rotation/ordering; products are left out of stock for weeks at a time. Prices charged on receipt DO NOT MATCH POSTED PRICES!!! They are overpriced to begin with, but the fact that you are being overcharged on top of their already high prices is criminal. The sad thing is, they are the only grocery store nearby. read more

On 3/21/20 I did my shopping and went through the regular checkout, not self check out, and as the cashier was scanning my last few items I went into my purse and got my bank debit card out so I'd be ready to pay quickly as there were quite a few people behind me. As I was standing there I asked the cashier to wait a sec because I remembered I had cash I wanted to use to pay as well as the card. I pulled the bill out of my purse and began to hand it to the cashier in which she replied, sorry but your purchase already went through. I asked her how that could be because I still had the money, debit card and wallet in my hand and had not inserted my debit card into the reader yet? She repeated and then looked at a co-worker that happened to be standing near us. The co-worker took the receipt and said that it has been paid. I asked her how that could be since I never inserted my debit card?? I then asked her what method of payment of used. She responded that it was paid with a Discover Card. Wha .. . . . . . .? I have a Discover Card but it was still in my wallet. She responded, "Well, we'll be getting a call from another customer wondering about a charge on their card for a charge they didn't make!" And laughed. I took the receipt and went to Customer Service and requested to speak with the manager on duty. Guess who the manager was??! Yup, the co-worker that made the comment about the charge. I asked her to take the charge off of my credit card and do the charge on my debit and she flat out told me she wasn't going to do it. I couldn't return all the grocery and repurchase out of the same cart due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Wasn't that convenient! I will not spend any more of my money while this manager (Nicki) is working there. They claim to be a good ol home store but they do NOT take care of their customers and think this sort of issue is funny! read more

I love how the Camden location now plays great classic rock while shopping. Sure is refreshing .....when most establishments play today's top 40 poppy garbage, torture for me! I don't have to feel like I have to rush out Never change !! read more

They are slowly adopting the Walmart way of impersonality.....self check out only. Not a single person behind the register. While this may be the trend......they should at least keep a register open. Think produce!!! read more

I really love the Camden redner's. I will travel the eight miles has two other redner's to come to the Camden redner's the associates there are so nice and knowledgeable friendly. The managers are great I know there's one particular manager I believe her name is Nikki she's always working you never see her not doing anything and she always has a smile on her face greeting everyone she's an exceptional manager which creates an exceptional team.The store is great. The store is always clean on the inside and out. This renders is by far the best redners, with the best management. read more

This is my go-to grocery store. The staff is friendly and quick and the lines, if there are any, go fast. This store always has more cashiers than say, that "super" store down the road and they are half the size of that store! I love the sales, the 10 for $10 is nice because you can combine any of the products and if you don't get all ten, each one is still a dollar. The bakery....wow! The pumpernickel and marbled rye are favorites along with their frosted cinnamon rolls. Give them a try! read more

A little pricier than most supermarkets in the area, this place is always clean, has great selection, high quality produce, and provides a pleasant shopping experience all around. The checkout clerks are most always friendly, and you don't have to deal with the craziness of Walmart, where the customers there are most always rude and doing their usual Walmart crap (I KNOW you know what I mean). I'll tack on a few extra dollars if it means leaving with fresh groceries and my sanity intact after shopping with a six-year old in tow! read more

Best shopping center around. Customer service beats Walmart by a mile. Only problem is that it is a bit more expensive but I value customer service over price! Really disappointed lately. Just like Walmart. No registers open. Literally. Fast lane and self serve. Then when one register opens, she takes the tail end of the line. This is more of a trend now and no longer once in awhile. The people who work there are nice though. Just need more of them. read more

Today - Thursday 7/4/19 I made some purchases at the Camden Delaware store - my neighborhood store that I am a regular customer at. The store was busy - since it was the July 4th holiday , so I used self check-out , which I am accustomed to using regularly. I completed my transaction and requested $20 cash back . I became distracted by my granddaughter and she grabbed the receipt as I was putting groceries bags in the shopping cart. During this time - I forgot to take the $20 bill that was in the change return slot. Once my granddaughter and I got to my vehicle and began loading the bags inside - I remembered the $20 cash back I requested . We immediately ran back into the store - the manager on duty ( she's familiar and friendly with me ) was standing by the self check-out lanes . I approached her and told her what happened . ( minuets before she watched me make my transaction and wished my granddaughter and I a Happy 4th on our way out of the store.) I explained to her what I neglected to do ( get my $20 ) and her response to me was " Honey it's a lot of people coming through here , I'm sorry". She did not offer a solution to my problem - even after I showed her my receipt ( which I can send if you need verification ). I did tell her it was my fault for being neglectful BUT I expected her to look a the camera to see if my money was taken by a customer using the self check area after me or an employee... she didn't nothing to try to amend this situation but tell me she was sorry. I do not feel like this was an adequate solution to my problem - which yes , was partly my fault. I am a regular customer at this Redner's - coming here 1 - 2 a week and more than anything I am sadden by her response to my issue. I certainly hope who ever took my money needed it more than I did. I feel like Redner's should offer me some type of resolution to this situation. If not - the Walmart and Food Lion I drive past to shop at this location will become my new grocery shopping facility . read more
