The brochure from the campground recommended this place and it was well worth the stop. Inside is a little market selling seasonal vegetables and local made sodas, dressings and canned pickles and sauces. Being autumn, there were plenty of apples, mums and pumpkins. There is also an amazing bakery with cookies, cakes, pies and breads. I didn't take a picture of the sweet treats we because they didn't last long enough - and they were OH SO GOOD! If you want to go to Erie and @are looking for something new and adventurous to do - definitely worth the drive!!!

Perfect place to grabs a sweet treat or gift for a friend, too. Great little resource for locals and tourists alike. I personally find the baked goods to be underwhelming, especially with so many other exceptional places in Erie for donuts and cookies but that is a very personal preference. I tend to come here more for the fresh food than groceries but it's great that they have both available! This location does have a designated parking lot that's easy to find and you can always find a spot. The employees are always super friendly and helpful and the store is very clean.

After getting…read moremy uncle settled into an assisted living facility today, dealing with him falling shortly after getting there, and other assorted "fun" things, I saw that Klenz Farm Fruit Stand had corn. So I stopped. There was a woman and her husband standing in front of the cash register, talking about cucumbers. So I walked to the other end of the counter and starting choosing corn. The woman behind the counter reprimanded me for checking the ends of the cobs: "Ma'am, if you look at it you have to buy it." OK... so I stopped checking and chose a few more ears and proceeded to pay. The woman from the cucumbers gruffly moved over to the corn. So I quickly said, "I'm sorry. I didn't realize I was blocking you from the bags." She ignored me but said something after I walked away. And the woman behind the counter said, quite loudly, "It takes all kinds!" What did I do??? Beyond fresh and local being a better choice to support your local community, it is also VASTLY healthier because it is not packed with sodium nd preservatives. So if you prefer a lower sodium diet like me, you can actually have deli meat again! (Try the ox tail--delicious tender and lightly salted but don't forget the free Au jus if you are a big salt fan). Prices: shocking, I would have to say on par or in the case of some of their cheeses BETTER priced than the grocery stores.
