I know they must be understaffed but it's not great customer service. We will say that the inside country market looks great. I liked all the fresh vegetables and Pennsylvania baked goods for sale. I grew up in PA so love tasty Amish baked goods and the usual PA foods you'd find in that area. If coming to the market, this is probably a good experience. Looking to buy plants? Not the place, especially if you have any questions. Highly disappointed with that and ended up heading north to Spring Farm Nursery where they went above and beyond in helping us.

They just did an expansion of the store making more space for product placement & customers to roam. I love the open market feel. Staff...always friendly professional. I could have a bad day and coming here instantly cheers me up. Prices... health costs money but copays cost more. You choose. Parking... decent. The turnover is quick and I've never had to wait to park. People are usually in & out. Issues... the only herbs they sell is cilantro. I'm ok with that (mostly). But I really wish they had mint & basil. They are closed during winter. Makes sense but... Those are the longest 4 months for me.

A typical week includes two types of fruit, some sort of leafy green (salad greens in spring, kale and such later on), some sort of potatoes, an additional veggie (like peppers, onions, and/or eggplant), a loaf of bread and a dozen eggs. My girlfriend and I take one share, designed for a family of four, and we eat well all summer and fall and are able to save a significant amount for winter. They're usually open every Saturday with extra foods and meats for sale. Lastly, even though this is a family operation, they are always quick to credit their "workshares" - members who work picking and/or packing produce in exchange for reduced rates on their CSA. A local business worth supporting.
