This morning, July 4th, I shopped t at this store ALDI 2500 E Central Texas Expy E, Killeen, TX 76543 . I paid about $27.65 ....I gave him 2 rolls of 25 cents which is $20 and 8 dollars in paper money. The cashier was not happy, She didn't want to count it so She went back to an office and when he brought it back She said the 2 rolls of 25 cents are only $17.50. I told her to count it, to which he said the manager also weighed it and it was $17.50. He understood???? She measured, she did not count. They cheat and steal with money too. They measure, they do not count. It is humiliating and at the same time upsetting. I like coming in here. First time I went in with my Mom and she bought an area rug and a dish rack. They have unique products and a lot of gourmet snacks/products. We buy their breads, rolls. I also like getting their chocolate bars and their delicious ice cream. They have imported stuff. I love coming here. I feel like trying almost everything. read more

As a frequent door dasher shopping at aldi for customers is a nightmare. They are often out of stock of what the customers are requesting on their orders, I often get approached by employees saying they might kick me out of the store for taking pictures but it's required by door dash to take photos of items and the barcodes. The whole experience from carts, bags, customer service, and over all quality is unpleasant and frustrating for the door dasher and the customers ordering food. read more

Best and most affordable grocery store for gluten free options! Aldi carrie's the best GF bread that is the same size of normal gluten containing bread. Their cauliflower pizza, General Tso's chicken, and pasta are staples in our grocery hauls but this trip I found so many festive holiday options too like stuffing and friend onions for green bean casserole and SO many sweet treats. On top of the awesome prices and section of allergy friendly foods the staff is always amazing too! read more

We have been coming to Aldi for a few months and love it. Their prices are great. The service is good. They offer some low-cost healthy options. For instance, they have some Low Carb Tortillas that are 1.99 for a pack of 10 which is a steal since these types of tortillas are generally 3-6 dollars for a bag of 10 elsewhere. Their yogurt, cheeses are all lower cost and great quality. Yes, you do have to pay 25 cents to use a cart, but this is not to pull one over on the customer (You get the quarter-back) to prevent shopping carts from being left and abandon all over the parking lot, causing damage to other cars, and such. It also prevents shopping cart theft, which I know sounds crazy but it does happen. Yes, you should also head in with a good number of reusable grocery bags since you have to bag your own groceries at the end of the checkout process. read more

This is one of my favorite Grocery Stores! They are simple and functional. You bring your bags and you bag your own grocery. You put a quarter in the cart and once you return it you get your quarter back. How easy is that? Their set up its similar to a wherehouse setup, to minimize costs and provide you with competitive pricing. My favorite item to get from Aldi is their cheeses and meats. They offer a great selection that is comparable if not better priced than the other grocers. Their snacks are worth checking out. Also their brand Specially Selected has good sauces, pastas and and the peanut butter is the best one I have had! I stay away from the Produce, its a hit or miss. However this location seems run down at times and they only have one cashier open most times I've been here. This doesn't seem to work when it's payday and you are located next to a big base. I still will be buying my groceries here because I get value items for my money. Tuesdays seem to be the day that its rarely busy unless it's pay day. read more

First let me say I have been an Aldi customer since at least 1993 (in Illinois, before moving to Texas). I even wrote a web page helping my friends here in Texas learn to love and shop at Aldi's when they first moved to Texas (near Dallas). So when I moved to Killeen TX I expected to be able to easily shop there and find the same great quality I'm used to. Well, the store was spotlessly clean, well-organized, etc. All those things I value from Aldi's. But..... the store I went to is really NOT conveniently located and the traffic surrounding it is worse by FAR than any Dallas traffic except for the traffic jams during rush hour. All that said, I bought a few things including a Meat Lover's pizza. This store did not have the kind of pizza I usually buy from Aldi's but I've never had a bad experience with these products before. Until now. After heating the pizza EXACTLY as the instructions stated, it truly was nearly inedible. In fact, I just threw half of it away (bought yesterday) via the garbage disposal. This would not be any customer's "good introduction" to how good Aldi really is. Now I have an angry spouse who will NEVER eat anything from Aldi's again and I won't go there myself because of the traffic situation. Please understand...I've lived in and driven in inner city Chicago, south Houston, and north Dallas so I'm not unfamiliar with traffic snarls but this is an animal unto itself so far traffic is concerned. So all in all - poor location, bad traffic, and then bad experience with my purchase equals a big line drawn through ever using Aldi's while I live here. I buy only organic food and was referred here by a friend for their great prices! I have 3 kids and a newborn and got out of my car (with all 3 kids to come and shop!) to be blindsided by the fact that I needed a quarter to use a shipping cart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who charges for a shopping cart and who carries quarters anymore?!?!?!?!? I typically spent $300-$400 on organic groceries and they lost my business because I don't carry quarters. What a horrible HORRIBLE business decision and a way to deter customers. Update: I did come back (with a quarter) and was pleasantly surprised by the great prices for organic food. We just got Water and Toilet Paper at the Aldi on Stan Schlueter Loop yesterday. This is a fantastic store. They have great prices and the entire staff is always super professional. If you have never been to one.....give them a try and you will be a customer for life! read more

This has been the most terrible experience. Not only were their fruit flies every where but the chicken packages were bloated and turning bad. Then at the register we weren't greeted. The cashier seemed very irritated about my food total coming out to more than on the EBT. I finished it off with debit. Uugghh. Then the final straw was when my special needs child dropped a case of water on his foot because the plastic ripped. Are you serious. How dare she laugh at a Hurt kid. She said it looked funny. At my kids expense though. No apology or anything. $178 bucks spent there and I'm raging. read more

I live in Aldis! When you have to shop on a budget it is definitely the place to go. I wish there were more cashiers because the lines can get real long. The cashiers are always friendly. The only thing that is missing is the "Hi, Welcome to Aldis!" Can't really get that with the way the store is usually set up. Other than that, I love the flow of the store. read more

This ALDI is my favorite to-go store. First of all the size; it's compact and not that extremely huge like all the other store. Most of the time I prefer that, because when I really just need food or fresh veggies I dont want to walk a marathon. Of course they don't have everything, like 5 different brands for the same item. But that doesn't bother me. What is also great that ALDI is having every week some new limited items, as example baby essentials, tools, or home decorations. And when you love German products you score here double, due to some great food products like German chocolate All in all its a great and cheaper shopping experience. I love it ! read more

Mixed feelings. Bring a quarter to unlock cart. Get it back when you return it to the front and lock it in. Groceries go into a different cart then the one you were using. You take your stuff to another counter and bag it. Parking lot is cramped and hard to unload groceries. All this could be a real problem if you are alone with kids. Don't forget to bring your own bags or you will have to buy more. No charge cards are accepted. House brands are priced good like most stores are. It's a small store so when you are not wanting to shop a mega store it's an option. Areas are not marked well, but it is a small store so going around a couple times is not much of a problem. It fun to have a new type of store in town. It is clean but yet a bit dumpy looking. I'll go back once in awhile but it's not something I want to deal with often. read more

The low prices at Aldi is great if your on a budget or just trying to save some extra money. But, If you don't mind buying generic brands, this is the place to go for your groceries. I have a few favorites here... Specially selected, fit and active, simply nature and happy farms. Also, the wine selection for the price is not bad, the moiselle and winking owl moscato are two great finds! Milk, cheese, eggs and veggies are always at great prices. Remember to bring your own bags or you can purchase them at the register for 6 cents a bag. Don't forget to bring a quarter to rent a cart, you will get it back once you have returned it, this keeps people from leaving carts in the parking lot! read more

They would have gotten a five star rating if I didn't have to drive either to Pflugerville or Killeen to shop. Do not hesitate to try their house brands. Cookies, meats, breads, and cheeses are all great. Vegetables are fresh. Flowers are still looking good 5 days after I shopped there. Store is always clean and smells okay too. read more

I went just after they opened, in the middle of the week, so it was not crowded at all. That can make a HUGE difference in your shopping experience. They were either out, or I just couldn't find some of the items in the weekly add. Found some good non advertised deals. Milk for $1.69 a gallon, and eggs for .69, was my fav items I picked up. 3 good sized grocery bags later, I spent less then $40. Cashier was super nice. Wish I could remember her name. read more

This store is managed and set up as they do in Europe. Yes, you need a quarter to get a buggy (really NOT that big of a deal) and yes, you need to bag your own groceries (also NOT that big of a deal kids and all) but it's worth to save some money. I go once a week and get great deals and produce. I particularly don't care for this ALDI because I have one closer to my home. This store is Not as friendly and not as clean but I don't expect to spend a lot of time in there anyway. I typically know what I'm getting so I go in and I come out, done! It's a good store to buy your groceries but if you're a bit spoiled by Whole Foods and Trader Joe's than you'll be disappointed. Otherwise great store. read more

OK, first thing's first. I had no idea what an ALDI was until visiting friends in Copperas Cove and my friend took me. I was surprised by how cheap a lot of their products were. Later on, I found out that this is the sister store to Trader Joe's. In some cities (midwest) they're in the same shopping center. Now that that's been established, you know Trader Joe's has their own brand/label. This place is no different. It's like a micro grocery store and while they have their own brands, they have their own systems. While some of them may be an inconvenience for some, the great outweighs the cons. Yes, it takes a quarter deposit to get a grocery cart. If you don't have change, ask a cashier, they'll either give you a quarter or give you an extra cart. Yes, the cashiers don't bag your groceries. This in turn keeps their overhead low and therefore their prices low. There used to be a grocery called "Sack and Save" you bagged your own groceries there too. Their selection is relatively small but that's some areas are nothing but house brands and as far as produce goes, they seemingly only keep what's in season (low prices). They also tend to run out of things pretty quickly because of the great deal. My last trip I bought 2 large reusable bags worth of groceries for under $50. You can get boneless skinless salmon fillets for $4 a pound! That's every day! I also got boxes of their brand of bars (kind, cereal, etc) for $2 a box. If you can't wrap your head around WHY they do things the way they do, maybe you should just stick to Walmart. It's not a bad business nor a bad business model but it may not suit your specific needs. That said, if you're cool with these things and want solid products at bargain basement prices, come here. I Bought some strawberry jello snacks lunch buddies Sunday for my 5 year old, he opened it today and said it smelled funny. I smelled it and it smelled like vinegar. Then checked the date it had beat by date June 03, 2017. Clearly it had been expired. The 2 bottom cups where a different color from the 2 top and did I say they stunk like vinegar. Some things are cheaper than most grocery stores but our first time experience was ruined when we witnessed the cashier was being extremely rude to the customer in front of us. She was harshly dropping the customer's groceries into the cart. The customer asked her not to do that because bruising fruit/veggies causes them to spoil faster. (I mean, if we're paying for the groceries from your store, the cashier has a responsibility to handle them well.) Instead of the cashier apologizing, she denied doing it, continued to throw things in the cart and THEN rudely responded with "I'm not bagging any of your items." The customer was well aware of the procedures at Aldi as she had been a returning customer so she knows the customers do the bagging. Doesn't this cashier know when working with customers, the number one rule is: the customer is always right? I noticed her throwing things into our cart too. Some people now a days...if you're going to work WITH people, learn some customer service skills! Needless to say I will NOT be returning. For a company that supposedly prides itself on customer service, this is pitiful. read more

This place is my fave. Yes you need a quarter and YES you either have to 1) BYOB (bring your own bag) or 2) purchase theirs (AMAZING quality- large and very durable) for 10 cents (paper is 7 cents) BUT the reason is to limit staff needed to retrieve grocery carts from the parking lot (you get the quarter deposit back after you return the cart and this promotes customers putting them back) this also eliminates the "fake parking spots" taken by shopping cart collections- AND "green" operations by limiting wasteful plastic bags that customers usually toss anyway. They do have the boxes merchandise is shipped in for use if customers want- free of charge to transport groceries. And you WILL have to bag your own groceries. The staff is ALWAYS working hard and they get timed on EVERYTHING. Now, this may seem odd to some, and HEB or Wal-Mart will be happy to keep those that are not on board with the Aldi experience- BUT I am a VERY happy Aldi customer. My grocery bill was cut ALMOST in half! There are 50% deals on bread, meat, and perishables daily and Aldi Never freezes their meat, so when it gets close to the expiration date- they discount it, and if it does not sell the day of or before it expires, it's donated to local shelters. They do not accept coupons or WIC but they do accept SNAP. Amazing company and with a family of 4 on a VERY tight budget- they make the impossible, possible! read more
