Cute, small and feels just like the motherland once you enter. Has lots of goodies in such a little space. Although there were some things that were expired for a while on the shelves, were used to checking the dates before buying in general so just watch out for that. Cut little shop if you're looking for Filipino groceries. Their selections aren't too big, but that little store is tiny. There were only 5 customers in there and we couldn't move around without someone moving. Customers were at the cashiers and we were stuck waiting for them to finish in order to get to the other aisle. Each aisle is a dead end and doesn't have an opening so you can go to the other side. Most of the items weren't labeled so I had to ask the cashier how much was this and that. Overall, I'm sure they don't have other Filipino stores in this area so this shop probably does well, I just didn't like the setup and the organization. Staff is very friendly. I been here at least three times now since coming into Texas. They got all the Filipino canned goods, veggies, dinuguan supplies, baked goods, longanisa, Tocino and more. It's nice we have a store like this in town. If not we probably would need to bring an ice cooler to Austin to get the things we need to take back to Killeen. I love this store! Too bad the ninjaz food truck is gone, but I love shopping inside. So many interesting food and snacks. The owner is very helpful and was able to answer all my questions regarding retain products. The staff are always so friendly, nice and very helpful! So, I was informed that weekly fresh veggies comes on Wednesday afternoon... I can't wait to see what they have. Hopefully I can make it and buy veggies that I don't see at the regular supermarkets. They do not give official receipt aside from the items are overpriced. I was only given a print out from cash register without specification and number of items. It is confusing you arrive home you do not know now which item was charged at say $12.99 or $11.99 or $13.44 and if you are buying for a friend who could not come to the store forget about it how are you going to put a tag. They better improve their service before authority comes knocking at their door. read more

The Philippine Food Store in Killeen is an amazing place. It is centrally located, and from the road, it's easy to spot. Despite the seemingly small size of the shop, you quickly realize the store is bigger on the inside than it is on the outside. Rules of architecture notwithstanding, the product offering is both broad and deep. If you're looking for an island item, your can probably find it here. The best part of this shop is definitely the staff. They are helpful and engaging through and through. Whether you've lived on the islands all your life and just want to reminisce for a few moments, or you've never heard of Filipino food and want to try something new, the staff is there to answer all your questions. That said there are a few small points to keep in mind. Firstly, because of the space, the product offering is custom tailored. They don't have space to waste, so they don't. It's a "Philippine" Food Store. Secondly, and again because of the size of the shop, browsing can be a bit intimidating to some. If you're the only one there, you can probably stop and smell the flowers all you want. As more people enter the store, however, a feeling of being rushed and to "grab-and-go" asserts itself. Bottom line: there are tons of places in town to go for the stereotypical "Asian" ingredients, but only one place in town offers you the feel of the Philippines through its atmosphere, people, and flavors. AMAZING!!! I'm half Filipino and when I walked in, I instantly felt at home. The guy working was also very very amazing. He was helpful, kind, and friendly! More on that later. A con might be that the store is pretty small, so definitely don't bring all of your kids here, etc lol. It's no issue for me -- I find the more packed and the more I have to dig and search through, the happier I am. This is the perfect place to go to for some delicious Filipino goodies! Prices were fine, I thought they were fair considering this isn't a chain. I also don't mind spending a few cents extra on pancit noodles or the like when I know it's going to nice people and their store. This place is going to be visited by me TONS! They had banana leaves! I couldn't believe it. I had a whole list of food items I wasn't sure where to find (like lye water), and one by one the man working the store knocked it right out of the park with helping me find every. single. item. You won't find that service (especially with a genuine smile) at Wal Mart, that's for sure. Thank you Philippine Food Store! Small, jam-packed with food, but no mangos?? I drove down Vets Blvd after work to catch the shop before it closed at 7pm. The impression I got from Yelp was that it was small, but fully stocked with Philippine goods. Well Yelp was right... it was definitely small, and jam-packed! There were maybe 5 aisles, a handful of freezers, and shelves loaded with goodness. I came looking for frozen lumpia because OH Market did not sell any. Lo and behold in the back, upright freezers had many--chicken and pork. I was ecstatic. I asked if they sold any dried mangos, and the man told me they only had the ones from Thailand... bummer! He said that another shipment of Philippine dried mangos would come in next week. I was not disappointed because I knew I would visit this place again frequently. read more

Awful, unfriendly store clerk/ management. I was busy browsing for something to bring my sister. The whole time, all I could hear was a volleying of sniffling between this woman sitting at the cashier and an older man telling stories. This is a small store with all the space utilized to the max, meaning overstocked with the same items. A little overpriced. It's in a convenient location though. I would rather shop at OMART or Ranch 99. read more

Love all the items they have there. Very small store and jammed packed all the goddies in there but very organized.

Yes, alot of items that you miss eating, they even have daing na bisugo, tuyo- i really miss, chippy, clover chips haha, daing na bangus, victoria sardines. Really you will feel like buying groceries just like in Manila. And the cashier who is the son of the owner can converse in tagalog which makes him more accomodating.
