My wife went there today, May 8th and lettuce, NOT organic lettuce, but REGULAR lettuce was almost $4.00 a head. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? $4 A HEAD!! It seems as though all of their prices are going up. I only go to this location because they have a deli item I used to like. I no longer will eat the item after being treated that way. If it's too much trouble to treat someone like a human then find another job. After the card transaction completed he yelled at me to come back because my card was declined. The bag boy from upfront met me as I made my order at the meat counter, telling me I needed to leave because trucks weren't allowed in their parking lot. The sign says no truck parking, as a truck driver that means no overnight parking. What it means at Eastside is we don't want businesses from truckers. We will ask them to leave while they are shopping with no exceptions. I felt the need to call back and tell the manager/owner/boss why I was disappointed that I was forced to leave before I spent my money. He proceeded to cut me off when I started to explain telling me that he had been in business 35 years and the loss of truck drivers will not break his bank. I was hoping to build a long-term relationship with a locally own business by voting with my dollars. My dollars will now be saved and spent elsewhere. Odd food, a lot…read moreof it from countries with questionable food safety requirements, and most of it with plain Save-a-Lot labels. Now, they've really taken a page out of Aldi's book. Most generic products are surprisingly high quality, and their fresh meat even looked quite good - better than Meijer's, actually! I'll assume most of you are familiar with Aldi and how wonderful it can be. (Fun fact: Aldi shoppers have much higher average incomes than people who shop at chain grocery stores like Jewel and Meijer.) But you won't find the fancy stuff Aldi carries - wines, expensive European cheeses or chocolate, random home decor, electronics, etc. Instead Save-a-Lot has a slightly bigger selection of most food items, and they'll often offer the brand name next to the generic. Kinda nice if you insist on some name brand things, like soda or detergent or even Chef Boyardee. This store was quite clean when I went in. You bag your own groceries, and they accept credit cards.

The butcher is kind enough to cut up the dog bones into three to four pieces for us. The elder, tall, stocky gentleman's work ethic is inspiring. Yes, the younger staff stocking stuff are a little shy on the customer service but that's understandable. And, the cashiers are salt of the earth. Harding's is my kinda place and reflective of the hardworking folk that make up Three Oaks.
