Was at Radke Orchards for the opening of apple picking season. Radke Orchards has been family owned and operated since 1894. This was my first time going apple picking. We arrived to smiling friendly faces. Was treated to a tractor pulled wagon ride down into the orchard. There were so many different choices to choose from. It was such an enjoyable experience. Took my time going down rows and rows and discovering all different types of apples. Ate a few as I went along. The trees are shorter for easy picking. I love this place! No fancy commercial over kill. Free admission and parking. Apples are reasonably priced. Also bought some local honey in the little shop. Looking forward to going back before apple picking season ends.

Nice orchard. We came in the middle of picking season and there were still some apples to pick. Unfortunately there were zero honeycrisp. Plenty of varieties I didn't care for but prices were excellent - $1.10/lb. The kids had fun and many pictures were taken. It's an enormous orchard, don't get lost and wear sturdy shoes; there's many inclines.

Wonderful, low key family feel. Our 5 year old loved climbing on the tractor, running through the orchard and eating yummy apples.

My favorite is strawberries, peaches, cucumbers, green beans and apples. The prices are fair and you can also purchase by the bushel. Folks are nice and there are tractors to take you out to the fields. You can score fresh baked goods, frozen pies, meats and some canned items as well. Definitely bring water and a hat on sunny days!

After a short tractor ride to the fields, we started with the raspberries and were able to fill our container in about 20 minutes. We then moved on to the strawberry fields. After spending an hour and a half in blistering heat, I was only able to fill about one-quarter of the container because there were virtually no strawberries available. Everyone picking alongside us seemed equally disappointed and frustrated that containers were being sold despite the lack of fruit in the fields. What made the experience even more frustrating was the no-refund policy, which meant we were out the money regardless of the poor conditions. I understand that crop availability can vary, but customers should be informed when fields are nearly picked over or offered a refund or alternative. Unfortunately, this experience was extremely disappointing, and I would not recommend this place to others.
