Aldi and Trader Joe's were founded by two German brothers. They split into two separate companies over the issue of selling cigarettes. You can see the German heritage in the store especially during the holidays when they bring in a lot of European specialty products. After eating dinner in the plaza I came over to see if they had more of the Halloween bouncy balls I wanted to get for my students treat bags. They didn't have them but I was impressed with this store. They seemed to have more products than the one near me. It was also very neat and organized. Aldi's is a bit of a mixed bag. You may not be able to find everything you need but what they have is cheap. They are even less expensive than Walmart. In addition to carrying food they also sell assorted seasonal items such as clothes, home goods, tools, and toys. It's fun to look because you never know what you will find. I have liked the store brand products I have tried. I like to shop here for snacks for my students. They really help stretch a teacher's budget. I am really looking forward to the wine advent calendar they are supposed to be offering for the holiday this year. If you come remember to bring your own shopping totes and a quarter to rent a shopping cart if you want one. It's a bit of a pain but they claim it's what helps them to keep costs down. I don't need to come every week but I never fail to leave empty handed when I visit. If you are looking to shrink your food costs than this store can be very helpful. read more

Make sure you bring a quarter (to obtain a cart) and your own shopping bags. This is a no frills store and an interesting concept. It's definitely worth visiting at least once in your lifetime, just to check it out... kind of like visiting Ikea at least once to see how it works. Aldi has pretty cool products in their own line that are very affordable, many are organic and some are gluten-free. They also carry a section of organic produce, albeit small. I receive their weekly ad in the mail and they always seem to be finding cool, affordable non-food items available each week. This is a small store, in a kind-of run down shopping plaza, but otherwise conveniently located at Congress and 10th Avenue North. This is not a place to stroll and browse, as the aisles are cramped. This is not a place to contemplate or linger over one's grocery list either, as the whole concept is designed to get you checked out very quickly. read more

I find enjoyment in getting my mail every Tuesday and finding Aldi advertisement. It's like new surprises every week because they change things up. One week they met have certain things and the next week it's gone. If you find something good, better stock up on it. You honestly can't beat the prices. This is the good to place during the holidays. The seasonal food is unbelievable. The truffle over load gets crazy during Christmas time. They have home stuff, wine, beer, holiday decorations all piled in this little store. Need a plant or flowers, they have it. I purchased my Weber grill there almost 5 years ago. I still have it and it works great. It was $150 when other places it was over $200. Can't beat it. Summer time you will see patio furniture and umbrellas. The only downfall... the lines can get crazy. They usually only have one or two registers opened at a time. Mostly one but you can get lucky. You cannot not love Aldi. I just read a review where the customer was maintaining they needed to work on adding more variety to allow the customer more selection. No they don't. This is what makes Aldi so great. They have different Specialty Select items that are completely unbelievable high quality that it's so worth looking forward to when something new comes along. Some of these things I will buy out because I'm not sure when or if they will get them back but there is always something new to look forward to. Not a big chocolate fan but the selection of high quality chocolate is incredible and very inexpensive. The stores are small enough to get what you need fast and the prices are unbeatable. My go to for a long time and occasionally I will tell them a couple of things they don't carry that would allow me to never shop anywhere else. The associates are always friendly and helpful. And I hope they never change by getting more variety to try and please a select few because this is what makes them so much better than their rivals. read more

I came to Aldis with my dog. No sign said that pets are not accepted. When I entered, no one scolded me or said that she couldn't be there. Accidentally when greeting a customer because she is very cheerful she peed so I asked for a paper towel to clean it up and they told me that I had to leave the store I told them to let me pay first and they told me you don't have to leave now when I had been 1 hour inside the store and a purchase of many things that I had in the cart I understand that ok they do not accept pets I can understand it although it had been an hour and nobody gave me a gift for that but not letting me pay before leaving seemed super rude to me read more

I love Aldi. This super market is great place for saving on your grocery bill. They don't have a deli or Bakery or any of those departments that are found in traditional stores. It's how they keep their prices down. They have fresh fruits and vegetables and meat for a fraction of the cost of other super markets. Staples like milk, eggs, and flour are priced lower than any other place I've been to. They have also have a great selection of artisan cheeses, seasonal flowers and alcoholic beverages. What I love most about Aldi is they have a huge selection of imported foods from other countries. I love trying Aldi 's different snacks and things from Italy, Germany and Sweden. Please give this place a chance. They're very unconventional. read more

Store is always clean, usually has everything I need in stock. Typical grocery store stuff really not worth a review. Their customer service though is AMAZING! And that is why I did a review. Always friendly, extremely knowledgeable, very personable. Not just once or twice but every single time I go. Now before you go in with unrealistic expectations, please note that Aldi's is not your typical grocery store, it's not Publix, or Whole Foods, while owned by Trader Joe's there are some differences. I first heard about Aldi with raves of great prices and no frills shopping. First of all, check online for the closest location to you. I've been to two of the locations and the variety is similar. Bring a quarter to deposit into shopping cart for use (you get it when you return the cart). While there may be some brands you recognize most of the brands are unique to Aldi's. Where they lack in familiarity they make up for in similarity to quality and taste. Check out their website for their weekly ad and go in ready to save. As you check out, you'll realize that bags are not free--bring your own or purchase a few from 10 cents to 33 cents. read more

First of all I love Aldi for what they have but I'm vegan and I gotta say they really drop the ball at the one near me. I saw "no cheese American slices" and got all excited till I read the package and its got milk, what's the point in that? They don't carry tofu or a decent vegan butter. Just a few simple items added and I'd never have to go to Publix again. I couldn't even get a non dairy ice cream. With all the non GMO, great breads and fantastic prices they seam to have quit just before the finish line. I go to 3 stores to get my shopping done and small adjustments would earn way more of my business. Like I said, I love Aldi for what they do but am I really asking for all that much? A package of vegan cheese or something? My hope is that others feel the same and voice it and that they take it seriously so the need can be addressed. read more

My mom accidentally dropped her pocketbook on her way out of the store and she didn't notice that it was gone for a couple of hours. One of the staff cashiers , Eric, kept the pocketbook safe until mom was able to retrieve it. Thank you for being a store of kindness and integrity. read more

Love this place! Prices are excellent and quality is good. I like being able to go to the store and not have to walk through a huge maze of aisles. Remember to bring a quarter for a cart .Bring your own bags. Staff is efficient and helpful. The only problem at this Aldi is that most of the time there is only 1 cashier. When it gets busy there is a bit of a wait but usually things move along quickly. I used to be a Publix gal but now a good portion of my family's grocery money goes to Aldi! If you see something you like, grab it as it may or may not be there next time. Trying European-style chocolates, crackers, and other products has been a bit of an adventure. There is a good selection of gluten free items which are mostly good. I didn't like the GF frozen pizza or Southwest Frozen Pocket Sandwiches. This aldi RARELY has any of the vegetarian options other than the veggie burgers. As a vegetarian, it makes me sad. I've gotten no meat products at the other store on hypoluxo and will continue to shop at that one until this one has more vegetarian options. This one needs the veggie meatballs, chicken and more mushroom ravioli. We do eat more than GD burgers. read more

Aldi is great, good prices and products. The biggest problem with this particular Aldi on Congress in Lake Worth/Palm Springs is the bad management and hurried employees. They rush you so much, pushy, they try to scan so fast, you cannot see the prices ring up, plus they have a lot of wrong prices from their signs and what rings up, so watch them closely. They want you to insert your credit card before they are done scanning, rushing you, don't do it or let them rush you, they can be very aggressive and pushy and rude. We had a bad experience with one of the new guys last week who mistreated my husband last week, he was very pushy and rude, had no patience and was just so hurried. They make you feel like you are less than human. Not a good experience here. Plus they usually only have one checkout line opened, not good. I even see the manager ladies when they stock food throwing the produce, they do it too when they check you out. The two manager ladies here are super aggressive and do everything so fast and hurried, but with little care. Barbara and Candi are the only two employees nice here who care, the rest have all followed in the ways of the aggressive managers. Aldi like to proud themselves on efficiency, but at what cost? To rush customers, to be aggressive, to show little care for fellow humans, they really need to treat people better here, especially the older clientele. I hope these reviews help them to improve and start treating people better and stop rushing people through the checkout without any care. read more

Aldi's is great. I love Aldi's. I like the products. I like the prices. I like how the store is set up. I like the whole Aldi's deal. And this is a good Aldi's. So why only 3 stars? Sadly it's nothing at all that this Aldi's can help. I don't think there's anything this Aldi's can do in my mind to improve. Because the problem isn't with the store itself. This Aldi's has the crappiest customer base I've ever seen. It's this entire plaza, really - everyone who shops here seems to be confused, deranged, and rude. Nobody seems to understand how shopping in general works, much less a store with a unique schtick like Aldi's. The EXTREMELY hard-working employees here will do their best, moving quick as lightning, and like clockwork some feeble-brained doof will not understand how the shopping cart thing goes, or not bring enough money for checkout, or have some kind of hare-brained issue during check-out that completely breaks the Germanic efficiency of the Aldi's paradigm. It's sad to see, because the employees here are GREAT. If there was something wrong with the store, you could change it - if their employees weren't up to par, they could replace them - but seeing as this Aldi's issue is that it's clientele, well, suck, I'm not sure there's anything they can do. I would have rated this store with a 5, but unfortunately I have an issue. Before I tell you why I didn't give the 5 stars, let me tell you what I do love about the store. I love the organic choices and the prices are hard to beat. I also believe everyone is for the most part polite and consumer friendly. What I don't appreciate is the way the cashiers throw everything in my cart!!!!! Before I whip out my debit card and spend my hard earned money in your store you think it's best to grab everything and throw it in my cart with no regard to the glass jars,delicate breads, and packages..I take my time to organize my goods for a reason.. Here's the kicker, when I mentioned something to the cashier, she stated it's my job to go fast!! EXCUSE ME?? I replied to her,,, it's your job to throw the items that I am going to pay for in my cart for the sake of going fast risking damaging my goods??? No... I don't think so.. Then she proceeded to tell me next time I should tell them ahead of time to go slower.. REALLY?????? I mean I consider myself a person of patience..
