Fesenjan chicken over rice.
Adam D.

This is one of the best Persian restaurants in the area. My coworkers and I scheduled lunch, and not only was everything prepared for our arrival, but the outdoor tables and linens and we're ready for some serious feasting. I enjoyed the fesenjan, which is a sweet sour and amazing stew made with pomegranate syrup and walnuts with tender chunks of chicken and a side of rice, which of course I had to add sumac on top. To drink, I chose doog, which is a salted yogurt drink; extremely refreshing and delicious for those who like the taste of plain yogurt. My colleagues enjoyed eggplant beef shish kebab, and chicken shish kebab over rice. I have tasted all of these on previous occasions, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Our delicious lunch was rounded out with homemade baklava, which was sticky, flaky, sweet, and chewy at the same time; paired with hot tea, this was the perfect ending to a lovely lunch. Of course we couldn't go home without making purchases in the store: Turkish delight, sabzi aash, noodles, and other staples are a must. It's unfortunate that not many people know about this place, and get to experience new flavors, and a very friendly and accommodating staff. I can't wait to return!

#10 Chelo Kabob Barg (Beef Tenderloin)

I'm so excited to have found this place. The food here is really something. I don't know how many times I've driven past this unassuming place not knowing they have wonderful food. Thank God, for Yelp. I had put it into my collection of place to try months ago. This place didn't disappoint. I came in on rainy Sunday looking for something that reminded me of sunnier times. I first decided to check out their market area before deciding on ordering hot food at the counter. They had a huge variety of foods I've never seen before but definitely wanted to try. They had some of the best vegetables I ever seen and very inexpensive. They had a lot of produce that you would not normally see in larger markets. I got some fresh passion fruits, very reasonably priced honeycomb, sweet mini peppers and some cherry tea. At the food counter I ordered the beef tenderloin kabob #10. They give you a receipt that you then take to the checkout line when you are ready to pay for all your items. The kabob is so good. It comes with fresh bell peppers, a tomato and a fragrant heaping of basmati rice . The food is simple and just so good. They also have the best pistachio baklava I've ever had. It's made fresh daily. Hurry and grab some cause you might miss it. It goes quickly. I come here about once every two weeks. The friendly gentleman at the counter laughs everytime he sees me now, because he knows I'm hooked.

Review for the restaurant grill part, which is part of this market. The food was really good. It was fresh and nicely prepared. I love any form of Persian Cuisine. The prices seem off however, with it being in a supermarket. Paying $12 for a combo platter sitting in a supermarket, I don't know. I rather eat it at home. They do not offer water or any drinks to buy. I think next time I would take it to go instead. I ate the combo platter which consisted of beef and chicken skewer on top of rice and bread. I liked the taste of the meat. You pay at the cash register then take your receipt to the gentleman preparing everything in the grill area. The green house bazaar itself is nicely stocked up with fresh produce and essentials for Persian cooking. I did not buy any groceries only wanted to try their food that day. They also have a juice bar section as well. They have renovated and expanded their store into these sections to make it accommodating one stop for their shoppers. Over the few months, I feel they will make more changes to make it look better. Will be on the look out for this one again.~

In really glad yep helped me find this place. Prepared food: My father in law can go get a lamb shank and eat for two days. Large portions of rice and generous meat. The chicken is also very good, although $9 is a bit steep for a kebab on rice and side salad. I was disappointed that there was no bread coming out of their special oven when we were there, but I didn't get the scoop on that. Grocery: great assortment of Persian staples and decent fruit/ vegetable selection. Worth noting is the walk in chiller full of quality herbs at very good prices. Altogether a great find. In the words of the terminator " I'll be back. "

Although there was a line, it moved quickly. We decided to share a Cuban sandwich plus we each got a pastry for dessert. You order and pay at the register and pick up your order when they call your name at the other end of the counter. They have so many varieties of pastries, desserts, and cakes on display that's it is hard to choose. The Cuban sandwich was excellent. Slightly warm on pressed fresh Cuban bread. And the pork, ham, and cheese inside were very good as well. In fact, it was one of the better Cuban sandwiches we've had in quite awhile. For dessert, my husband got a guava and cheese pastelito. It's in the shape of a turnover. Not too sweet because the cheese tempers the sweetness of the guava. It is one of his favorites. I tried a chocolate Napoleon with merengue. The top layer had the chocolate glaze and there were thick meringue layers between each pastry layer. It was a bit gloppy and not the easiest to eat. Very sweet but good. I brought half home. Yes, they are a quite popular chain. But they have a pretty good and efficient system working at this location. And lots of staff proficient in both English and Spanish. I know we will be back.

/ 5 I swung by Polo Chef Bakery in Greenacres this morning…read morearound 7:30 a.m., looking for something quick to grab on my way to work. The shopping plaza was still half-asleep, so parking was a total non-issue -- I pulled right up to the door with tons of empty spots. Walking in, the place felt bright, spotlessly clean, and pleasantly quiet (just the low hum of the display coolers and the faint smell of fresh-baked dough in the air). The cases weren't fully stocked yet, which makes sense that early -- a few trays were still being brought out from the back. What was there looked legitimately fresh, with that telltale steam still rising off some of the items. The staff (two ladies behind the counter) greeted me with actual smiles and a cheerful "good morning," which instantly put me in a better mood. Service was lightning-fast too; I was in and out in under four minutes. I went with the spinach and cheese pie because it looked the most tempting at that hour. First bite: the crust is the real star here -- unmistakably handmade, flaky on the outside, tender inside, with that perfect golden color and slight buttery taste. You can tell they're not cutting corners on dough. The filling was hot, the spinach tasted fresh rather than frozen, and there was a decent amount of seasoning. My only critique is that it leaned a little too spinach-forward for me; I was craving a richer, creamier, more cheesy bite -- think tiropita or even a cream cheese-swirled borek level of indulgence. It was good, just not "wow" enough to become my regular order. Portion was surprisingly generous for the price (under $5 if I remember right), and it kept me full well past lunchtime. Everything felt made-that-morning fresh, which is increasingly rare these days. One thing that genuinely puzzled me: the word "Polo" in the name had me half-expecting some chicken-filled pastries or empanadas in the mix (pollo = chicken, right?). There were zero chicken options in the breakfast lineup -- not even a simple chicken and cheese turnover. That felt like a missed opportunity for a place with that branding. A couple of savory chicken items would easily push this into daily-stop territory for me. All in all, Polo Chef is a solid neighborhood gem. Clean, friendly, fairly priced, and authentically baked from scratch. If they ever add some chicken-based morning options and dial up the cheese factor on a few fillings, it could easily be a 5-star regular rotation. As it stands, very happy to recommend -- definitely worth popping in if you're nearby. 4/5 stars

Couldn't leave without trying a pastry, so I ordered a guava cheese Danish for later. It was delicious. All for $11.95. The omelette was superb. Look at the size of that omelette. Served with 4 slices of baked bread.
