Prices are extremely reasonable, and marked-down produce is a boon for budgeting if you are prepared to use something day-of, or are okay with some mild cosmetic defects. I often spur a meal around what needs to go simply to take advantage of such nice food before it wastes. The selection outside of fruits, vegetables, and floral include a fun variety of snacks and pantry staples which, similarly, without driving truly outside of town, you cannot otherwise get at a reasonable quality, if at all. Springdale is quite lucky to have this market, and it is worth appreciating while it is open for the season.

I wasn't shopping for anything in particular but I wanted to see the new location. I picked up a basket and kept adding items. How could I pass up a nice size head of cauliflower? Or nice big radishes? Oh look I needed celery. As a cooking novice, I went with the "regular" mushrooms but I saw other types that I may need to come back for. The refrigerators had local dairy products, meat, and pierogies. I had to get the spinach and ricotta pierogies (made in McKees Rocks). I can't say no to a snickerdoodle cookie and there were pumpkin snickerdoodles too. Lots of homemade breads, pies, cinnamon rolls, etc. It is the attention to detail that stood out to me. The radishes were in a resealable (ziploc like) bag. The mushrooms were in a clam shell container. I didn't have to find storage containers which I appreciate. The staff were very friendly and well versed in the products. Ample parking. If you miss the GPS turn, make the next right and come in through the back of the parking lot. Firstly, it wasn't too crowded like other surrounding pumpkin patches. The farm is beautiful and has plenty of parking. They have farm animals, a vintage store, hayrides, pumpkin patch, little market, and then a coffee truck, Mars Farmhouse Cafe pop-up, and a brewery pop-up. Like other farmers markets, there really isn't much seating except for a few public benches. If you do get ready to eat food it is usually not hard to eat while walking or standing.
