I bought two quarts of strawberries in June and thought I would get the larger ones but they were not very sweet. Wish I would have purchased the smaller ones. Also bought pound cake that Verhage Farms makes and it was very good The vegetables and fruit are a little pricey and I wont buy the fruit that stays outside in the sun until sold. They are way too ripe. I always go back to this place and try to find something else to try. Glad it is near by.

First: If they have pear cider available, GET IT. It is truly, honestly extraordinary. We went through a few gallons this year, and each drop seems to be nectar of the gods. They are closed for winter, obviously. But when they reopen in spring, here's what to expect: * Enormous tubs of whatever is in season, parked right out front of their doors * Inside shopping for things that need refrigeration (cider!), including lovely bags of spring greens that we always get, and veggies that don't need to be out in the open air * Sort of odd parking. The handicap parking is far away for me. There are two close spots to the right of the doors, and that is not a difficult walk * SO MANY KINDS of everything: apples, squash, pumpkins, well, you know Michigan harvests. You'll find all that and more here. * In the summer, LOVELY jalapenos that we stock up on and freeze for winter *Reasonable prices Tip: Weekends are busy and crowded. There were samples of watermelon and cantaloupe out for trying, and I found myself with an Indiana watermelon in my cart, plus local peaches and tomatoes. My husband called my attention to the pies, donuts, muffins, and fry pies. I could smell that Green Acres bakes/fries some of their sweets, while they sell goods from other businesses. He bought a blueberry donut and Amish fry pie, and of the two, the blueberry donut was the better buy. Green Acres not only frosted it but also added some blueberries on top. Not bad! Though they didn't make it into the cart, Green Acres also carries meat, eggs, flowers, soaps, succulents, adirondack chairs, and decor for your yard. While this won't be in my regular rotation, I'm grateful to know that Green Acres is available. I may pop in during the fall for pumpkins.

And it was fine! Better than fine because the blueberries were so good! I had no complaints. But now they've leveled up. Now it's not just good blueberries but good ambiance as well! They've converted another smaller building next to it as a storefront and it's chock full of blueberry based goodies like jams, jellies, baked goods, dips, mustards, beverages, etc. Way more to choose from! They also sell ice cream and added a play structure to help entertain the kiddos that get a little bored of picking (smart). The day of our visit it was around 100 degrees and humid so I was not up for picking myself. Instead I arrived ready to buy a box of pre-picked fruit in bulk like I had in the past. I walked into the cute new storefront, scanned the shelves, and panicked. There were no boxed berries to be seen! Was this no longer a thing?? U-pick only?? Why God why!? No need to panic, the really lovely woman at the counter explained to me. They just ran out because nobody wanted to pick in the heat (fair) and they had another load of blewbs (just processed and boxed) enroute and arriving at any moment, she just wasn't sure when exactly. Our time in town was limited so we decided we'd come back instead of waiting. She assured me there would be plenty available. And she was right! A couple of hours later we came back to find the coolers absolutely stocked full of 5lb boxes. I was fielding requests from the family back home to bring them some so in the end I bought 20 pounds worth. I also added a blueberry lemon coffee cake for good measure. Great visit! Wonderful changes! Lovely personnelle! And most importantly, the blueberries are still amazing. Next time I just hope it's cooler so I can get an ice cream cone that wasn't going to liquify the moment I stepped outside.

When we arrived we found arrived we found a very pleasant market/sales location. We went inside and found plenty of things for sale. Pies, cakes and other baked goods. The place reminded me of an old time market/store. Tastefully decorated and a very country/down home feel. We were directed towards the back to the refrigerated blueberries and other delicious looking items. We found our blueberries and were checked out by a very pleasant sales person. We surly will be back to such a pleasant location next time we need seasonal fruit!

Terrible customer service. I was looking to purchase some pokemon cards, which are rarely in stock…read more Surprisingly there were two boxes in stock on the very bottom shelf shoved toward the back. I noticed the one box was completely ripped open on the side and two packs of cards had been stolen from it, so I thought I would bring it to the customer service desk to make them aware people were stealing the cards. The other box was the same as the first and had been partially opened on the side, as if the thief was going to open it and steal packs from it too but didn't get to it all the way. I planned on purchasing the second one at the customer service desk since it had not been opened all the way and nothing was taken from inside the box. The lady at the customer service counter immediately took the obviously opened box from me as they of course could not sell it anymore, which I expected. So as I put the second (slightly opened) box onto the counter to purchase she proceeded to over inspect it and say the thief had stolen from that box as well. When clearly it wasn't even ripped open all the way and nothing had been taken from it. She frantically called her manager and told me he would not allow her to sell either one of them to me. I understand not being able to purchase the first box because it had been deliberately ripped open and two packs were clearly taken from it but the second box was still in good enough condition to sell with all the product still inside the box. But I was not allowed to purchase it due to "legal reasons". I thought this was ridiculous. The customer service representative rushed through the interaction, somewhat misunderstood the situation and over reacted, in turn losing a sale for her store and me a chance for new cards for my son. Needless to say I was pretty bummed out because it was the first time in months I had found any new pokemon product in stock at this location. I understand retail can be difficult and demanding for employees, but customers should leave the customer service department feeling like their concerns have been heard and their issues have been addressed, at least in some way. Especially when the customer is trying to do the right thing. Please do better in the trading card area with security and such, as well as patience and understanding with customer issues. Thank you
