I can say, without a doubt, thank anything for this Family Dollar. We've been finding it so much more easier to simply stop here to run in for literally everything- cat food, milk, canned pasta, all the staples that we'd normally stop in at the Wagoner's for- and they've also been increasing the number of things they've been carrying- the sheer fact that you could go here and get giant cans of Beefaroni or Mini-Ravioli and everything else is just... it's nice. Plus it seems like they have stock in a lot of things we've been having trouble finding elsewhere. I mean, I'm willing to go out on a limb and say the only reason the Wagoner's here in Lawton is still in business is because they've got a produce and a meat area, and that's literally the only thing the Family Dollar doesn't have. Everything else, well... you can get there, usually for cheaper. For the record, I still get my White Castles here, years after the original review. If they ever got into the produce business, I'd go here instead of the Wagoner's.

Employees are just standing upfront talking (with no customers at the counter) and then complain about not being able to wait to leave so they can go home and drink. Seems like this dollar general has gone downhill ever since it was remodeled (6 months ago?).....like the employees couldn't keep up with the restock and the remodel and have now just given up. I'll be going out of my way to the pawpaw dollar general from now on.

There is produce, bulk candies, confections, a boot store, a shoe store, so many clothing and jewelry options in addition to vintage and handmade items. There are a lot of seasonal vendors there as well as new comers regularly. Some massive shops and some with a table and canopy. The atmosphere is always friendly people, both sellers and shoppers. Everyone was very welcoming and accommodating. We just finished our second weekend of selling, going back for the 3 day weekend for 4th of July and while I'm exhausted I am excited. Camping is on your site for the most part/ in your vehicle and there are air conditioned restrooms open 24h. Being able to come on Friday without extra charge is valuable if you are not seasonal, giving extra time to be organized without pressing yourself so much in the morning. Cathy's Kitchen has great coffee and breakfast, I've not had their lunch and they are not open for dinner. Everyone in there is so friendly. Free parking and admission make this a great value and must stop for shoppers and no one should be disappointed in doing so. Many people bring their dogs, of all sizes and breeds, some in strollers. They also have puppies for sale/ to adopt, though I'm not the biggest fan of that especially in the heat. There's a country market across the street (not affiliated) with a nice variety of offerings to accommodate your stay as well. Put Reits on your list if you haven't been yet, just bring your sunbrella, sunscreen and water for you and your pet if you bring them. Hope to see you there!

Someone had mentioned the stones in the driveways. They ARE difficult to walk on within the market area. The only other issue was the number of vehicles driving through the market area when open. There isn't enough room for cars AND walkers. Not interested in a further visit. I'd sure would have liked to see the variety and really wanted some wood planters. Oh well. FAR from the best.

I never asked her to pre-calculate or wrap and pack my order- just to hold it because there's no option for baskets (or at least no one let me know of them). I was carrying selenite and I'm clumsy. I've been a retail worker myself and dealt with really cruel customers so I didn't say anything cause I don't know how to navigate that without becoming my mortal enemy, but I still didn't deserve that. The Southwest Michigan Artists' Association is a group of wonderful people who not only all love what they do, but they also make it possible for the artistically-inclined to have a place where thier creations cannot only be displayed for all to see, but also a place where anyone willing can come to learn how to make their own art. As I wandered on up, I noticed a number of people were clustered around someone who was throwing clay on a wheel. It was practically spellbinding- I mean, we all remember the smell of clay and paint and the like from our days in elementary school, but I never really developed the skills beyond 'mash clay and mold it until it looked vaguely humanoid, add three holes and it's a little ghost figure' bit. But just watching the artist make those pots, well... it makes me wonder if I could do the same thing. I also saw some very nice berry bowls (the clay bowls with holes in the bottom), and they seem like they'd be good either to use or just to put up on a shelf and use as a conversation piece! A little closer to the entrance, I found someone doing something I remember doing for fun waaaay back when I was a kid- placing a piece of paper in a machine that would spin it around rapidly, and then dripping paint on it from a height and letting gravity and centrifugal force do their thing. I still don't remember what the machines were called, only that we had one and it apparently got tossed because nobody carried the paints for it. But seeing that kind of thing made me think a lot of fun thoughts- but I kind of doubt the ones on display were as inexpensive as the toy one I had! After that, I stepped inside to take a look around. There were a few people inside- as well as plenty of art already on the walls to glance at, as well as some wonderful jewelry inside a case that was hand-made and looked really pretty! They were a bit out of my price range, though... Everybody looked to be having a lot of fun, though- there were a few painters in there, and someone else making what I thought was some kind of flower-arrangement (I could be wrong on that, but it looked really nice)! Maybe I'll drop in again and take some classes here- I'd like to think not all of my artistic talents lie with the written word! If you see something you like, there's also a display of business cards with contact information that you can use to contact the artist you're looking for! They're also looking to expand- but I urge you to stop on in and take a look around, and maybe give some classes a shot- or if you fancy yourself an artist, come on in and take a look around and do some networking to get your things shown!
