Very roomy, clean Aldi store in Pompano, right on Federal. I love going there to take advantage of their weekly specials...but the truth is that their every day prices are already a great deal compared to other grocery stores. Yes, some prices have gone up in the past 2-3 years since the pandemic, like their 16oz box of Spring Mix salad...it used to be under $3 back then...now they sell for almost $5. Aldi's is the estranged brother of Trader Joe's. The abbreviated history is that Aldi's and Trader Joe's were owned by German brother's who fell out over whether or not to sell cigarettes. One headed the chain that became Aldi's and the other chain became Trader Joe's. While Trader Joe's has great prices, Aldi will beat them and just about everyone else's prices every time. You can still signs of that German heritage all over Aldi's like in their German line of products called Deutsche Kuche, which offers offers beer, chocolate, roasted coffee, and uncured Bavarian bratwurst. If you want to save money on groceries Aldi's is a great way to do it. In order to bring you those low prices Aldi's has instituted some cost cutting measures. If you want a cart you will need to bring a quarter and to get your money back you need to return your cart from the parking lot back to the store saving employees from having to collect the carts. You will also have to bring your own bags or pay for theirs. Lines will most likely be long because they keep their staff to a bare bones minimum. Best of all is the check out. To get people through the line more quickly they will literally throw your groceries into the cart they keep chained at the check out. You will frantically try to grab your items out but will never be fast enough. I used to just carry groceries around the store in bags I brought but getting my own cart has made the checkout process a lot smoother so now I always keep a quarter hanging in an Aldi's keychain made for that purpose attached to my purse. I shop at Aldi's at least once a week. Unfortunately the locations by me have become run down. I stopped going to one because every cart was broken. I have started trying different locations when I am out and about and this week it was this store on Federal Highway in Pompano. I love this store. It feels so large and open. it was well stocked except they were out of carrots which was weird but I found everything else I needed. This shopping trip they had two of my favorites back in stock, the coconut crusted flounder and the macadamia crusted flounder. They are healthy and perfect for a quick week night dinner. I also discovered a bourbon glazed frozen carrot blend. I also picked up a Valentine's Day candle which was a quarter of the cost of the ones at Bath and Body Works. I am still on the hunt for the lime cilantro marinated chicken everyone is raving about in the Aldi Facebook group. They only had the southwest flavor here. I always have to have a case of their citrus green tea and their zesty pub pretzels are the perfect snack. I didn't even have to wait in line at this Aldi's which was a real time saver. I love my staples and discovering new products. Most of all I love saving money! read more

I've been to a few different Aldi stores and like many of the others, I love walking in and being greeted with relatively low prices compared to other big name stores in the areas. The staff here was friendly when I walked in and was told to ask them for anything if I couldn't find it or needed help seeing if they had more in the back. I usualwgetvmy staples here like a loaf of bread (for about a dollar fifty after tax) and bananas which are at almost have the cost here compared to other stores I know... Same goes for eggs, Bout three dollars cheaper than everywhere else right now. They always have something new here that I find and end up getting and that's great because if I don't like it they offer returns and refunds no questions asked! You do need to bring your own bags because they don't offer any unless you pay a few cents for a plastic or paper bag. The carts are allocked together and for you to be able to use one, you need to bring your own quarter to unlock it from the cart rack. Definitely helps them from having to send people out to gather all the parking lot carts. Location is very well lit and there's a ton of space in the aisles to help walk past people if there's others in your way. Great location with friendly staff here for sure! read more

This Aldi is okay. We did find a number of things we needed here, but there were so many things we didn't find that we knew we will have to go to another store to finish our shopping tomorrow. The first Aldi I ever went to I really didn't like -- small with a very limited selection. So much so, that I didn't go to another one for about a year. When a new Aldi opened in Coral Springs near to where we were having dinner, I ventured in. This newer store was large and clean. So now when I see an Aldi, I realize they are all a little bit different. So far, the Coral Springs store and one in Greenacres (lake worth) are my favorites. We'd gotten some pimento cheese that my husband liked at the lake worth store, but were in pompano. We remembered they'd opened this Aldi so we decided to try it and see if they carried the same cheese. Frankly, it was just an okay experience. And yes, even though they had his pimento cheese. I'm not sure I'd go back to this store. The one thing that bothers me about Aldi is the way they treat their cashiers. They are under such timed pressure to complete your checkout as fast as possible. You can't have any kind of conversation. I don't think I'll get over this -- even when we are buying eggs and bread at dollars less than at Publix. Cutting corners -- like no bags-- is one thing, but treating your people like robots is not acceptable. read more

Clean, bright, and new! This ALDI's has been under construction for a while and I know I've been waiting to go. It's in such a prime location and TONS of parking. They have everything you need and then some. And it's still cheaper even with a few extras! They even had some products I saw at Sprouts for cheaper. Staff was helpful when I was asking about products and if they had other options. I have not been to many ALDI's but this one is by far the best. Maybe because it is new but I'll update my review if it changes. read more

Love shopping at this Aldi. It is a newer store. Aldi's prices are significantly lower than Publix and their quality is just as good. I also like the fact that they offer many healthy choices such as zero carb bread, low calorie snacks, ice cream, and wraps. Keep in mind it is a quarter for a cart (you get it back at the end) and bags cost 10 to 20 cents. read more

The people who work here do a great job. Store is aLways being stocked, the store is clean. I Love all their organic products! Good prices, way more reasonable than Publix. They move you along very quickly at check out. I surely buy more than groceries here. Bra's, panties, boots, sandals, leggings, throws, blankets, moisturizers, gifts, mop and bucket, portable ice maker, shower humidifier, utensils and pans, waffle maker. I can go on! Best Aldi in North Broward County. Well stocked, clean, 4 or five self checkouts. Usually staff on floor to help with questions. As all Aldi stores there are many imported items. Many Aldi brans are equal to name brands in quality but lower in price as much as 30%. Speedy checkout compared to other grocery stores. read more

Be aware of shopping at Aldi in this location. I bought mostly vegetables, dairy and some items in jars and cans. When I came home I found $5.99 charges for organic Beef twice and I didn't purchase any beef! I have lost my trust and will not be going back there! I don't always check my receipts and now I wonder how many times I have been over charged at this location. Also, the cage free organic eggs does not pass the authenticity test. I have been buying organic, cage free ages for years and never seen egg yolks like this. They were the lightest color yellow and didn't taste right! The manager Griselda is extremely impolite and rude. She profiles you when you have to return items and refuses to honor Aldi's guarantee if it is for a valid reason and if you have your receipt. It is a shame that for a Latina woman she profiles people with deeper pigmentation than her. I refuse to return to that Aldi and should not have to feel like and be treated like a criminal for returning defective products. I should not have had to try to explain to her the Aldi's guarantee because discriminately refused to honor it because of her racial and prideful biases. In addition to that, what made it worse is she walked away from me as I was speaking to her. What disgusting behavior for a manager who should have a better level of training and care for her customers. Yes they have a different system compared to your ordinary grocery store, but it's not a big deal to rent a cart or bring your own reusable bags. Very simple!
