Very roomy, clean Aldi store in Pompano, right on Federal. I love going there to take advantage of their weekly specials...but the truth is that their every day prices are already a great deal compared to other grocery stores. Yes, some prices have gone up in the past 2-3 years since the pandemic, like their 16oz box of Spring Mix salad...it used to be under $3 back then...now they sell for almost $5. Still the unit price of this salad is better than the regular price at other grocery stores. Nice quick checkout people.

Aldi's is the estranged brother of Trader Joe's. The abbreviated history is that Aldi's and Trader Joe's were owned by German brother's who fell out over whether or not to sell cigarettes. One headed the chain that became Aldi's and the other chain became Trader Joe's. While Trader Joe's has great prices, Aldi will beat them and just about everyone else's prices every time. You can still signs of that German heritage all over Aldi's like in their German line of products called Deutsche Kuche, which offers offers beer, chocolate, roasted coffee, and uncured Bavarian bratwurst. If you want to save money on groceries Aldi's is a great way to do it. In order to bring you those low prices Aldi's has instituted some cost cutting measures. If you want a cart you will need to bring a quarter and to get your money back you need to return your cart from the parking lot back to the store saving employees from having to collect the carts. You will also have to bring your own bags or pay for theirs. Lines will most likely be long because they keep their staff to a bare bones minimum. Best of all is the check out. To get people through the line more quickly they will literally throw your groceries into the cart they keep chained at the check out. You will frantically try to grab your items out but will never be fast enough. I used to just carry groceries around the store in bags I brought but getting my own cart has made the checkout process a lot smoother so now I always keep a quarter hanging in an Aldi's keychain made for that purpose attached to my purse. I shop at Aldi's at least once a week. Unfortunately the locations by me have become run down. I stopped going to one because every cart was broken. I have started trying different locations when I am out and about and this week it was this store on Federal Highway in Pompano. I love this store. It feels so large and open. it was well stocked except they were out of carrots which was weird but I found everything else I needed. This shopping trip they had two of my favorites back in stock, the coconut crusted flounder and the macadamia crusted flounder. They are healthy and perfect for a quick week night dinner. I also discovered a bourbon glazed frozen carrot blend. I also picked up a Valentine's Day candle which was a quarter of the cost of the ones at Bath and Body Works. I am still on the hunt for the lime cilantro marinated chicken everyone is raving about in the Aldi Facebook group. They only had the southwest flavor here. I always have to have a case of their citrus green tea and their zesty pub pretzels are the perfect snack. I didn't even have to wait in line at this Aldi's which was a real time saver. I love my staples and discovering new products. Most of all I love saving money!

Very clean and well stocked. They had much more produce than the other Aldi up the road.

Good location. Never go wrong shopping at Aldi. Plenty of parking. Better pricing then Publix which is largest competitor.

Be careful if you are purchasing the Butterball Turkey listed for .99 per pound. I was charge $1.99 per pound.

The only downside is it is a little expensive. The meal pictured in other similar ones we have had with a plate of food is around $15 to $20. However, given the quality and what you would pay at a restaurant it is reasonable, just more than I would expect from a hot food bar. They do a great job with their coffees as well. The barista takes a lot of care in preparing each cup and makes sure the presentation is immaculate.

Not only are the quality and freshness great, but the prices are also reasonable. Sometimes I'm lucky enough to find those items on sale. At times, I would walk throughout the store and discover interesting items to enhance meals at home, such as making an oven fried fish filet sandwich with artisan bread, remoulade sauce, and salad greens. At other times, I would grab bottles of water priced at $0.79 or a small bottle of milk to make oatmeal. Over the past year, my perception of Whole Foods has changed ever since I started making more conscious decisions about what I eat.

Huge store, fabulous variety of fresh fruit on the salad bar and of course I love the purple cabbage, cubed celery chunks, snow peas, etc.... They even sometimes have the heated enchiladas - tofu scramble spicy with veggies - and half off occasionally - always a TREAT! The bathrooms being renovated was a MESS - one UNISEX bathroom for Men & Woman - hummmm. Poor decisions that sometimes need the KINKS worked out ... it is over now though. Just the finishing touches happening. Tons of Parking, Huge Movie Theater in the same parking lot ... loads of beautiful new outside furniture and chairs to accommodate boo-koo guests. No electricity for charging though - but FREE WI-FII and Amazon of course for Pick-up or drop-off. Whole Foods was always for THE COMMUNITY - but that has changed over time with different ownership & management brings NEW IDEAS and ways to SAVE MONEY. This is a VERY LARGE store where you can move around with your shopping cart with ease - SUCH A PLEASURE. I did purchase Chef Christy's I-MLEAN LLC Raw Vegan Bakery Products here as well when they were keeping them in the refrigerated area. Why they changed that I do not know. One day I finally brought it to Mark's Attn (the manager) that all product seemed to disappear off the shelves - see the pictures uploaded, the only product left was CINNAMAN ROLLS one day, still unrefrigerated. I explained what I witnessed that week and told him they need to be refrigerated. He is the one who told me 100 days FROZEN and 45 days REFRIGERATED - I realized he told me the wrong thing - I could not read the TINY PRINT without my glasses. I would eat lunch or dinner there often - I had no kitchen nor refrigerator, etc... and I needed to eat healthy for my Diabetes. They were very kind here - Miguel was the bakery manager at the time. He told me they had problems with the VENDOR who delivered Chef Christy's I-MLEAN LLC products. Mark could not tell me who that was. I did inform them of the turn of events in Ft Lauderdale with papers I had created of the Timeline of Events. I unfortunately had a FOREIGN OBJECT in one of her items - in my mouth while eating my ORANGE TWIST - most frightening. I made sure they were aware of that.
