Pure excellence!!…read more This is a local farmer's market with an excellent selection of local fruits and vegetables. It typically runs during the summer from June - August/September. Locally-grown tomatoes, eggplant, PEACHES (!!), zucchini, watermelon, even fresh local cinnamon and tea! I also scored some an amazing banana bread loaf, and locally-raised beef which I have yet to try. Every farmer we encountered was entirely happy to let you see, touch, and taste the products. That's the sign of proud people who stand by their products, and an excellent reason to visit. To cap it all off, there was a really lovely local bluegrass band serenading the market at 7am. I finally looked on Amazon and found that I could buy a case much cheaper than Publix, so I ordered the items from Amazon. why is the Publix getting so bad. I was waiting in the store to get a smoothie with a friend but she hadn't arrived yet because she…read morewas on a date so I was expecting her to be a few minutes late. I had been there 5 minutes when this busy-body black lady who I'm guessing is the manager/owner comes in and sees me sitting and waiting and then proceeds to tell what my in purpose in being there. After I told her that I was waiting for a friend to arrive she tells me that I have to order a smoothie right away or I would have to wait outside until the exact moment that I was gonna order a smoothie and then I could go inside. It's 34 degrees outside! I am extremely unimpressed with my first experience here I had heard good things about and wanted to try them out. If I could give zero stars I would. I would advise any and all that want to come visit to go to Tropical Smoothie if this is how Smoothie King treats their customers. Edit: So after waiting I go back in to get a smoothie and the lady sends in her husband to tell me that he doesn't think I'm actually here to get a smoothie but to "talk" to his staff. Who only helping me by explaining things to me that I didn't understand. After badgering me for several minutes about my real reason for my presence in the store I was granted permission to buy a smoothie which I regretfully did as he sat down and watched me so until I left. This has been the worst experience that I've ever had at any establishment of any kind. The blatant disrespect and prejudice that was shown to me should be a cautionary tale to all that that think they want to come here
